- Our guest this episode is Mike Hickey, ace guitarist and guitar tech. Hickey has played in Venom, Carcass, Cathedral and Witchtaint but has also landed high-end tech positions for Joe Bonnamassa and both Hall AND Oates. Mike has great stories and can play the hell out of the guitar and I had such a great time hanging out with him for this conversation. I hope you enjoy!

I have been a Rock and Metal fan of all sorts for a while. Now here I am at 40 inspired by Mike Hickey to buy a guitar and learn how to play.
Out of all the Musicians I admire and am inspired by, Mike Hickey has really fueled my decision.
Bottom line much Respect goes out to Mike and this has been a great interview.
I love Mike's stories. I could listen to this stuff all day
I literally remember Mike playing for us in the gymnasium in high school with his band! Patterson, Hickey, etc. 43:45 He's being modest here, it was good and memorable! They were wicked into Van Halen. Keep rockin'! #RedRaiders 💙 #AHS
Mike is a legend in my hometown Keene NH. Possibly the coolest almost famous person I have ever met. The real deal.
this is great, I found this randomly, Mike is a cool guy. Last time I saw him was in Keene, NH about 5 years ago and he didn't know who I was because I looked like Osama Bin Ladin with long beard, long hair (middle of my back). When before that (10 years prior, I had a crewcut, clean shaved .........Lol.
I still love venom and carcass. Beyond Nostalgia , they have something You won’t hear in new metal acts.
CHARVEL's! MARSHALL's!59 LES PAUL's! Me and this guy would be best friends!🤘 could talk with him for hours and hours!
I lived near Joe B and delivered newspapers to his grandfather who they lived next door to. I'm a few years older than him but remember going by his house and hearing him and also was at the show in the Jane Pauley episode. But, starting in 1984 I got hooked on heavy stuff and Venom was my favorite. I never got to see them in the heyday but saw them in 2006 in Phoenix, AZ. I was the roadie for the local openers but I got to meet Mike (Mykus) and Anton but no Cronos. I was hoping to get Cronos to sign a denim jacket that I painted a Venom logo on in 1986.
😍

we had some upload issues with Mike's video and when I went to cut all of this together I totally forgot that we lost the last bit of his side. I'm editing the end off of the video now. Thanks for the heads up!
