By using the Breville Measuring Scales, your espresso can reach new heights as the scales allow you to increase precision for the ideal extraction. To make an espresso, baristas use a basic formula of 1:2, ground coffee to espresso yield. The scales will help you master this ratio, and the perfectly balanced espresso, with these simple steps.
Instructions:
1. Use the scales to measure 10-12 grams of ground coffee for a single cup basket.
2. Tamp your portafilter and place in the machine.
3. Place your cup on the Breville Measuring Scales beneath the portafilter and extract until the scales show 20-24 grams.
Tip: This should take between 27-33 seconds, if outside of this timeframe, consider the grind size of your and adjust.
