“Mike” Or Miljenko Matejevic is the vocalist, and was just incredible! He also was Mark Wahlberg’s singing voice in the movie “Rock Star”. I saw another comment requesting “I’ll Never Let You Go”...another incredible power ballad where he hits the stratosphere in range! Mike had a pretty terrible stage accident where a light tower fell on him crushing his vocal chords, fracturing his jaw, and breaking ribs. He STILL has an amazing voice, but just not quite as it was back in this era! If you do the “hair metal” stream don’t forget Slaughter’s “Fly to the angels”..😁 Enjoy the reactions brutha
This was in the early 90’s. Steelheart hit the scene just as the big hair bands were exiting the awesome 80’s. Miljenko is still around (thank God, after his tragic accident on stage). You should hear some of his solo stuff. He looks very different, but his voice is still absolutely astounding.
one reason you never heard of them is timing. As soon they started hitting radio is same time grunge took off and just after the lighting rig accident. Milio started climbing one of the one ton towers slammed into stage breaking face, neck, twisting spine, concussion, among other injuries
Please consider Silent Lucidity or Empire or Anybody by Queensryche. They also did an amazing song for the Olympics I believe called Power of the Dream
Having been fairly young during the 80's and very much "into" music, I should probably know this band and this song. I'm only saying it's from the 80's because that's when the "hair bands" were popular. the lead singer's range is ridiculous, but I've never heard of either this song or the band before.
This band hit right before Grunge took over so they never really had much time to do anything. This was off their debut album which was very good. What you don't hear in this song is that he has a very good low range too. I'll Never Let You Go was their big hit. Sheila is another fun one that really features how high he can go.
Speaking of Bon Jovi... Hair band... Yes Rock band... Not so much ! I saw them open for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers in the late 80's & lets just say... Tom Petty showed them how a rock band should sound & perform 😎
Mr. Patrol Station, Miljenko and Steelheart were not even close to the vocal ability of Bon Jovi...actually, it was Richie Sanbora that had the better vocals on every one of Bon Jovi's hits, he was only allowed to sing back up with Jon. Richie never got the recognition that he so deserved due to Jon Bon Jovi's lack of hubris. Steelheart's lead vocalist vocal range and powerful renditions are atrononomocal... they just had bad management from their record companies and should have been huge. I compare Miljenko's vocals and ability to divulge so much emotion in his singing to Bad Company's lead vocalist, Paul Rodgers!!!
PONTO FINAL!!!
Steven Tellerico aka Steve Tyler of Aerosmith could not reach the vocal range that Miljenko could...Steve screamed in a head voice, almost a falsetto. And, he did not have the power that Miljenko had, not even on a rendition when he was not drugged out or drunk...sorry...no comparison, although I did like Aresmith's Dream On.

Yes to all of this comment. What happened was tragic. One of the greatest voices ever. More "pure" than most metal bands imo.
I love them hairbands!!! Incredible voice. Yes please, another hairband-stream, would definitely be there with a ton of suggestions :)

Please react to their song I’ll let you go! It’s a wonderful song!!!
Okay, okay -- yeah they're good, but what I take away from this performance is how very jealous I am of their hair!!! 😋
Lol, they have great hair.
Same!!! Lol

Except these guys sound nothing like Bon Jovi or Aerosmith; shows you don't know much about 80s and 90s metal.
I agree!
