- After my 4CH video, this is the 4CH Pro video. It will be very similar, most of the differences for me are in the electrical connections: this is the device if you want to control garage door openers, furnaces, sprinklers or any other devices that run on DC or require dry contact.

Very helpful. Thanks.
The comments about grouping and interlocking were especially helpful for my design process.
Interlocking great for any multi-speed motors or similar devices.
4 Channel interlock mode can be very useful if you have a sprinkler system and 4 valves in a low-pressure environment. When one zone goes on the rest switch off.
4 channels interlocking may be used for sprinkler system if you don't have enought water pressure to start watering on all sections. For example I got aproximetaly pressure of 5 bar for watering a garden. All of my sections are quite long and if I would like to start all of them at the same time, they wont jump from ground, just leaking a water.
4 channel interlocking can switch betwin 5v-7v-9v-12v if supplied with this voltages on each relay. Then you can adjust a fan speed
Great idea
Great. Thanks.👉 👍
When powering the unit via DC, what is the polarity of the barrel connection. I can't find this information any where on the web. Is center (+) or (-)?
Hi. One question, do you have to be in the same wifi network to operate or can you operate in your phone even if you're on 4G? I'm asking because my wifi doesn't reach my front gate and i would like to operate the gate as i come home with my phone in 4G while the sonoff is in my garage (were wifi is in range) connected to the gate by 20 meter wires. Is this possible?
Yes, it works from wifi and also from 4G. That is not a problem.
Great video. Helped a lot. One question if I may ….. can I use 1 channel to switch a 12vdc device [door lock] when others switch 220v AC whilst unit is powered by AC?
ofcourse, you control relays, not mains 😁
Can i add multiple lights to a single sonoff switch? ...say 1 switch ...3 lights (staircase) ...another switch ...light & fan of family room and so on ...Or
One switch to one mcb that controls my bedroom ...another switch ...another room and so on
I want to have all four switches be "dry contact." Looking at the wiring diagrams, it implies that this can be done only by powering the Sonoff with DC. Can it also be powered by AC (110V) and still be dry contacts?
Yes, it works with AC and DC. Sonoff diagram just connects AC live in case you want to use it as a mains switch. But in that case you can buy a simplier 4CH. So, again yes. And each output is completely separate, so one can be dry contact, other mains contract and so on.
What are the other 2 devices on your test board? One is a sonoff box, and the other has a yellow button under it.
Looks like an rf bridge and rf switch?
Are they just not discussed in this video at all?
If looks like an RF Bridge, but that is a Zigbee Bridge and Zigbee Basic. I have other Zigbee videos where I talk about them.
How do you connect the 4 manuel switch on this? do you have a diagram?
i would be interested also, to know this answer
Can I put more than one SONOFF 4CH PRO at same app but one for BEDROOM one for LIVINGROOM...
Yes, you can by as many as you want, you can put them in the same room, or a separate room as well. Each will have it's own tile on the screen and you can control the 4 outputs in them.
Sorry for dumb question . Can these be controlled from my 4g phone when away from home using the same app ?
Yes, you can.
Good video. I must have missed it but did you cover how to pair remote controls? How many remotes can you pair per channel?
No, I did not cover that. I did not get a remote for it, and I don't have anything that I could have used. But I will see if I can do something about it in the future.
@@csongorvarga Thank you. I have just received my 4CHPRO and after further research I was able to configure pair 4 remote controls to channel 1. I installed these remote controls in 4 bathrooms mimicking pushing buttons to activate Navian NPE-240A built-in On-Demand hot water recirculating pump. Excellent tool for saving water.
@@csongorvarga Helpful Video. The Sonoff 4CH PRO supports an RF remote control, but do you know if the Sonoff 4CH supports RF remote even ? the manual is not clear.
Did you measure the total power consumption on DC when all four relays are on?
Sorry, I did not.
My honest question is apart from the 4 switches can you also another 4 making 8 in one app? Since there's no 8 gang but just 4 2 and 1
Sure, If you buy 2 4CH Pro you will have 8 outputs altogether. It will be 2 different screens with 4 buttons each.
Can you gang the relays together so they all switch together in response to a single 433MHz button press?
Sorry, I did not test the RF part, but I assume you can not do that.
I dont know how to connect it to 24v water sprinklers. Can u help plz ??
One wire from the 24V transformer goes into the COM terminal of the 4CH Pro and the NO terminal goes to the valve. And the other wire from the 24V transformer goes to the valve directly.
Can you explain how to change the channel names. At the moment i've got more than 1 channel 1 2 3 and 4
Sorry, I can't test it right now but it is either long press on the "Channel 1" text or in the settings under the 3 dots.
at the ... menu click on name and there are the channel names too, you can rename them to whatever you like
please mention the max duration available in inching mode.
It is 1 hour
What size barrel is the DC power input and is it center positive? I'd like to order a PSU at the same time I order my device but I can't find any information at all on the power connector.
It is the most common 5.2 mm diameter barrel jack. There is no marking on the polarity, therefore I can only guess that it is a more common centre positive version.
@@csongorvarga, thanks. I certainly hope you’re right. It seems extremely strange to put something like this out without a power adapter, but no markings anywhere as to the polarity. Here, you figure it out, we figure you’ve got a 50/50 chance, and if you burn it up, we’ll sell you another! Positive center definitely seems to be the most common though, so I feel pretty good about my chances.
@@byronfollowell4243 Yeah, I checked Sonoff's website and there is nothing. Probably there is input protection built in :)
@@csongorvarga, maybe. I was reading another review and a user mentioned getting it reversed and letting the magic smoke out and his board didn’t work anymore, but he never mentioned the polarity of the adapter he used or what he changed to.
@@byronfollowell4243 Oh. you know what, let me ask from my marketing contacts :)
How the wiring for DC devices from dc input?
There is a jack for powering the device from DC. If you want to use DC for the relays, it is the same as with AC. You connect the power supply DC input for COM and the device you want to switch to NO.
@@csongorvarga thank you for the explanation.. im thinking about powering 12v dc led bulb from dc battery rechargeable using solar charge controller..do you think that is possible?
@@ss94 Oh yes. 4CH PRO is probably the only product from Sonoff which works with 12V DC. So this is the ideal choice.
And the RF?
As I said, I don't have an RF switch so I could not test that.
Non spieghi come funziona con telecomando 433 Mhz !!
