That’s fantastic! I found a first edition book at a tag sale for $1(sold for about $459), a 1904 World’s Fair souvenir for 25 cents at a yard sale (was offered $300 for it) and a heavy 14K gold charm(less) bracelet for $1. There have been so many other things over the years too.
She is a good one to watch...she posts videos consistently she knows what she's talking about and she's willing to like talk it through with the audience so you know why she's even picking what she is
I have loved watching and learning from you. I was in a thrift store and found a piece of California pottery, and I said “oh that’s treasure craft”! I was so excited that I actually remembered the name! Lol. Could not have done that if I had not watched all our videos. Your such a ray of sunshine 🌞. Always so positive.
Thanks for being so nice! I'm the starstruck weirdo that told you how tall you were! My son was impressed that I ran into you, but horrified that I said that to you. You're super cool and a household name here!
At 9:37, there is an exceptionality tall rooster shopping on the other side of the aisle. I don't think I have ever seen a rooster thrift shopping. You have the best stores! 😜
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES ❤. I hope each and every one of have the opportunity to spend time with with everyone you love and make memories that will last a lifetime ❤ Hug each other a little tighter and hold them a little longer because there are too many people who would give anything to see their loved ones this Holiday season. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
The plastic popcorn holiday decorations were store bought, not home made. I remember growing up with Christmas, Halloween, St. Patrick's Day, and Easter ones. That was in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. I wish I knew what ever happened to all our vintage ornaments, and popcorn holiday decorations. 😢
The pitcher with the tall handle is called a Rebecca Pitcher. Made in Seagrove N. C. by Dot Auman, Seagrove Pottery, the stores name. We learn to made pottery from them. We opened are gallery in 1985. They have been dead for years.
I recently found your channel and really have enjoyed watching your videos…I have thrifted since I was a teenager…well over 50 years before it was cool and acceptable. But i must tell you I am soooo jealous of your Goodwills…in the area i live in the burbs of Detroit the Goodwill near me stinks…and has more clothing than household goods…like less than 1/8 of what you are showing…and mainly junk…i quit going because it was such a waste of time…now the Salvation Army’s and Value Worlds i seem to find more treasures at…but even in the last 4-5 years its getting harder to find items like what you are finding and the pricing is getting ridiculous. Wishing much success!!!
In 1987, which seems like yesterday, I was haunting stores like this. I still am. Seemed so strange to hear you say you weren't even born yet! Life just flies by. :-)
I have found several Fitz and Floyd at my goodwill all in excellent condition. I have left a few on the shelf because they were too big or I already owned it. Always in great or perfect condition.
The blue and green pitcher at 10:39 is from Granada Spain!, it’s classic color and depiction for the area of Spain. “Granada” in Spanish means pomegranate and that’s the depiction on the classic blue and green pottery. Highly recommend you visit Granada some day! King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella are buried there under a marble sarcophagus carved with pomegranates! They were the king and queen who funded the explorations of Christopher Columbus! 😊
Always enjoy shopping with you on your adventures of hunting for treasures. Also you teach me with information about vintage and antiques. I learn something new every adventure. Thank you for sharing!
Man. Your Goodwill still have very reasonable prices ! My Goodwill is getting very slim picking this past year and their prices are getting pretty unreasonable! If I filled my kart like yours today...it would probably over $100s! Anyway, you've found some good stuff today.
The pottery pitcher with the weird handle is called a Rebekah pitcher. Named after Rebekah from the Bible (Genesis 24:15-19) and symbolizes unconditional giving and compassion for those in need.
You are correct about Franciscan. If the stamp says England, it is newer. Most of us collectors prefer the made in California (USA). They are the best versions of that brand. Regardless of pattern.
Just looked it up and this stylized "F" was used by Johnson Brothers England around 1995 and the lead content in the glaze registers in the toxic zone.
Fyi on AH Moonstone--base is 'starred'. Fenton French Opalescent is smooth based. Also the opalescence is generally wider & smoother on Fenton. Thanks!!
Our county is having a lot of trouble getting bus drivers. This means kids are crammed 3+ to a seat. The first 2-3 weeks of school Covid spread like crazy. Many parents are still working from home. The results is many parents are now picking up kids up from school and having to wait an hour in line and tying up road space. The elementary schools just weren’t design to have this many kids picked up from school.
If I were your nurse, I would suggest you rest. You can post what sold without talking and just showing the prices you purchased for and the price you paid. You are a real blessing to the community and you must rest. Just my 2 bits. Take care.
I have a WestMoreland milk glass large fruit bowl & I switch out seasonal decorations in. At Christmas I mix small pinecones & ornaments. Fall is gourds & little pumpkins. Just easy things like that. It’s so pretty. & I love it because it was my grandmothers.
Keep your eyes open for the Yankee Candle hanging tart warmers, especially the holiday ones. They can bring good money. The rest of Yankee Candle is hit or miss.
10:41 minutes, I have seen the dishes coffee sauce. Very popular dishes that my mom had that and my sister love the dishes for 70 years. Glad she save these dishes and plate and etc.
The pitcher at 7:19 is a Rebecca pitcher or ewer. I have several made in Seagrove, NC which is a town near my home that is famous for potteries. There is a church in Beaufort, SC that makes mice similar to the one you found, and sells them at their annual bazaar as a fundraiser.
Please be careful and take care of yourself. With covid still out there and omicron now spreading so fast, touching and handling objects that others you don't know the health habits off can be precarious. Warm salt water gargles in the am and pm may help your scratchy voice.
Just a thought...I noticed that you and other vintage resellers often point out or comment when you see Desert Rose pattern. I don't get it. I see it everywhere! Is there something great about it? It seems so common to me. Anyway...I watch you everyday and have learned so much. Thanks for being you.
At 9:11 there’s a Native American wedding vase you totally ignored. I’m sure it was intentional but those have a decent listing on eBay 😏. Just curious.
Hi Jocelyn, I hope you, Andrew and the kiddos are having a wonderful Christmas season. I was wondering roughly what is your out of pocket cost for listing and shipping cost, or does it depend on the piece? I am amazed you are able to look at an item, factor in your employee expenses and over head and able to decide if it is a money making piece. I wondered if you have a set price in your head for listing and packaging cost to help you figure that out
I keep this little ceramic jug on a shelf that has a giant chip. I swear I looked at it before I bought it and saw absolutely no damage. Nope. I'm just blind. XD It sits there to remind me to put things in the cart and then check things over one more time before I buy.
1:39 “1987? I wasn’t even born yet.” 😮 I thought you were my same age, now you make me worried. 😳😧🥺 I remembered you have two small children, and I haven’t had any yet.
The item you saw with the praying hands i remember John getting me one 20 years ago from a chinese market mine had an angel etched in it and stood on a light base.P.S my son was born in 1987 :)
I wish and hope to have the courage to sell on eBay. I have the shopping part down! It would be fun to shop with you. If you come to the Dallas Texas area, let me know!
I don’t understand why the original owners of the items don’t just toss them when there are broken or badly chipped spots. Fun to watch though. You find some good items.
You sound sick. Pump up your immune system with D3, K2, C, zinc. Oil of oregano and activated charcoal are great the first couple of days of a cold or flu. Hope You Feel Better Soon!!
I went to the Goodwill yesterday and found a Tiffany & Co crystal pitcher for 1.99!!!!

"Humpty Dumpty" disguised as a "Pilgrim" on that one with 'no arms'!
Hi Jocelyn. Love the china flowers and the two purple glass pieces. Hope your cold goes soon. Marie
Leonard, the trivet, is usually silver plate. Never seen one that opened to become larger. Very cool!
The Fitz and Floyd kitty box is called Kitty Kringle from 2005. I just thrifted the matching salt & pepper recently. Love the milk glass bowl!

I have the rest of Mr. Mouses family. Lady mouse and little mouse in pretty red velvet dresses. Mine don't have any tags or markings either.

The mouse was so cute not something you see often. Perhaps from the nutcracker?
