As Kraft says you should get rid of the “garbage” Before going after the “rats” shouldn’t they confess and repent before deliverance is completed?

I'm not sure if the person wants to keep the demon then it is a good idea to cast it out. Shouldn't they confess that they want deliverance ? Otherwise the demons come back 7 fold. Could you offer scripture please?
They do come back 7 fold, but the man came for deliverance. He wanted to get rid of the demon. He wasn’t so far gone that he had lost his free will. This is where discernment comes in. If the man would not have been willing to give up the “benefits” from the demon in exchange for his salvation it would have been futile. I believe it was Mario Murillo who said that his tent ministry is the most effective tool for evangelism because as soon as you get those demons prayed out of the person you immediately give them the gospel.
It is truly a disservice to pray a demon out if the person is unwilling to let go of the power the demon gives.
We must all pray for a spirit of discernment.
What about helping children where parents are not walking w the Lord? Would casting out put them in greater risk )
