    Very emotional.. they can't speak Nagamese but they know Konyak common dialect. It's surprising how our small Konyak families are living there in such peace and harmony among Assamese. God bless Ahom-Naga relationship 💙

    How fluently the Pastor speaks Assamese rather than Nagamese is astonishing!

      Assam esp.Ahoms - Nagas lived cordially n Peacefully since the building of Friendship between Ahoms& Nagas during Medeival Period till recently until the Immirgrants from mainland india & foreign bangladeshis occupird all interstate boundry n forest belts n created land disputes

    I'm from Konyak community, born and brought up in Konyak inhabited area town called Mon, but I can't speak fluent common dialect like them.. Very emotional

      Is it necessary to announce that You can't speak your mother tongue ? And that's also living in the heart of the konyak area. You should learn to speak. It won't take a month to be fluent.

    I m Assamese from Jagun,Assam and here most of the people are naga , arunachali, Nepali and we live peacefully ...

    Wow !!!thank you HBTV I wasn't aware enough of my people living beyond borders until now .Even myself cant speak my own konyak dialects well but here they speak more fluent than majority of the konyaks living under Mon dist. Just wow !!! Worth watching 👍🏿

    Our Wakching Wanching ancestors were coming from East and reached Brahmaputra river ( they called its Jülao yengnyu). And they went back to Eastside, some were settled down there. And some are settled in hill areas called Wakching Wanching villages.

    Oh my God konyak kokai speaking pretty decent Assamese...god bless all Naga people (the sane ones the educated ones the less violent ones the less agressive and less mad ones)....god bless God bless I feel if same was possible if Assamese Axoms were allowed to live in same way inside Nagaland also...no such reciprocation of humanity... anyways the konyak uncle needs to be protected at all cost and he is Assam and Assam is him.

    Wtf me too m konyak and first time hearing this place name and people 😂and m really shock to see them speaking pure assamese and adopting their culture 😂love it someday i will visit that place for sure😊❤and the things which shock me the most is that they can speak konyak common dialect so pure that even thought m staying in konyak land but still cant speak even a single common dialect 😂😂

    When we talk about konyak tribe it is the largest among naga tribes. Konyak tribe are not only in Mon district of Nagaland but also in large number in Myanmar and Arunachal.

      The people residing in Mayanmar and Arunachal is called Wancho . Infact konyak and Wancho is from same roots launguage and culture were almost same but Little differents.

      If you go to Lower Assam you will hear again very different Assamese.

      He is speaking the dialect of upper assam and has influence from his tribal language. That's how we speak here. In lower assam as well central assam it will be different.
      Standard assamese also, has diverged much from the rural dialects of upper assam.

      It's kind of the rural dialect of upper assam. It may sound different from the standard assamese, which have shifted much west in recent times. Lower assam's assamese is altogether different.
