you need to switch your charts to log. you have it on arithmetic so a move from $10 to $11 is a 10% gain, and when the stock is at $30, 10% is to $33. since you are using an arithmetic chart, it looks like the volatility is 3x, but it isn't; it is still the same. people have a certain amount of dollars to invest and a 10% gain is a 10% gain; doesn't matter.
