- SmartSDR 1.6 introduces a complete rewrite of SmartSDR CAT and DAX. The new setup allows for massive multitasking of digital modes. This guide will help you setup a multi-app digital setup including WSJTX, FLDIGI, RMS Express, and MultiPSK. Sorry for the Mic pops. I had it a bit too hot. I'll make sure that doesn't happen next time!

Excellent presentation on how I will have to learn all those features on my 6700.
I moved to FL and my 6700 is only up to ver 1.4. However, the worse part is that it still boxed up since the move. No antennas either.

I just picked up a 6300 (literally this week) and this really helped me understand how to set up the communications and virtual CAT ports. THere are a few posts out there that show the "old" way. Your video is perfect for me since I will never see the older releases of software. I've been a Yaesu fan since I started the hobby in 2004 but the SDR really caught my eye. I've been an "IT guy" for 37 years so the SDR is really in my wheelhouse! - KC9AOP
Great video and looking forward to 1.6. I would love to see additional videos going in to more detail with the various digital modes you show here. The only one I have really used is JT65/JT9. I'm not much of a voice guy and I live in a HOA, so I usually stick with digital. 73, KI4TTZ

Wow, I''m a long-term Flex/SmartSDR user and this was totally Greek to me. Smart SDR is now like String theory. It creates more questions than it provides answers. Segregating multiple instances of JT65? Huh? Why? Somebody is going to have to create a Net Sysop to Ham English dictionary or lots of us are going to fall off the boat.

Excellent! Thorough and informative. What functions, in your estimation, are not available with the 6500 compared to the 6700 (aside from 8 vs. 4 slices) with respect to what you have demonstrated?
