I saw these girls in Belfast busking on an absolutely freezing day.. their hands were like ice.... I stood and watched them for 10 minutes or so in that ice like condition... they were superb.... and I told them so. This video doesn't do them justice but, hey, it's outside, filmed on a mobile phone and no mixing desk etc,.... they are playing at the Belfast Blues Festival on Saturday 29th June at the 'Belfast Big Fish' definitely worth going down to see them...
I have a question, we don't see this busking thing here in the USA, which is a bummer, anyway, are there musicians everywhere jamming on the streets over there? Is it just accepted as the norm? Like every other block or so?Or do they have to get a license etc? Seems like the tax man wants their cut everywhere...thanks for your time

absolutely, absolutely awesome as huge challenge, i want to learn a few bass riffs and i'm just loving this as i can actually separate out the bass and it is holding everything together. i'm guessing 90% of music performances are fake , pre recorded, dubbed, looped, filtered, remastered. Well done, keep doing this, however successful you become keep turning out on the street. This is a gem of a song for this trio, they can certainly relax into it, even just let the bass take over for a while and kick back and chill
What I really like about these girls is they really "get" the 70's vibe and do it well. They understand the songs and don't do limp-wristed covers that fail. And they look amazing ! 😀

From five years ago to where they are now is amazing. I'm ever so glad that I was able to live to see them go from street singers to preparing to open for Cheryl Crow. Unbelievable.

It’s now 2024, and 5 years on from when the girls recorded this live take. Frankly, I think that it’s really good to have a historical busking track for reference to see how they have improved with the release of their own self-penned songs next month in whatever format you like.
I got into the Irish busking thing watching Allie Sherlock. Now its Belfast but the people and background dont look much different. Hopefully Ireland becomes one country someday with this generation leading the way. From an Irish American in Hawaii.

@@thetoolmat8632 yes it’s normal and commonplace. You don’t need a busking licence in Belfast but do in e.g. Dublin.
