- customer care numbers on Google whenever we need any help or customer support. But this habit can prove costly as you could land into a trap of fake numbers laid by any conman or hacker, who is just waiting for this kind of search to lure a victim.
Recently, a woman in Bengaluru lost her entire bank balance when she dialled a fake Zomato call centre to seek a refund for her order. As she was struggling to find a customer care number on the Zomato app, she googled it and dialled a number from the search results. After registering her refund request on this fake customer care, her entire bank account was cleaned out in the next few minutes. Zomato has registered a police complaint regarding these fake call centres.
There have been several cases like such in the past few months using this method, where fake customer care executives elicit information like a bank account, debit/credit card and even the OTP from the customer on the pretext of helping them.
A simple Google search mistake could lead to a fraud A woman from East Delhi’s Seemapuri region lost Rs 1 lakh after she fell for an ongoing "GOOGLE SEARCH/ GOOGLE CUSTOMISATION FRAUD."

Yes I would like to as my bike got some issues during a journey so I searched Bajaj service center on Google and called on number which I found on Google but he asked my number and asked me to pay Rs.10 saying he will also receive OTP and he asked me to send OTP but fortunately I didn't shared my OTP and disconnected a call later on when I reached to service center I got to know that number is not affiliated to Bajaj at all and they said they don't ask for OTP or anything like that so let's beware of we all need to beware

This was a very useful video. If this is an official UA-cam channel by cybercrime then I have a suggestion. You should make it mandatory for all the apps that involves monetary transaction to give their contact number and that too it should be easy to find in a single click. At times it is so difficult to find and contact customer support that normal people get into the trap of google search. I am tech savvy but not everyone is. Most of the e commerce websites and apps avoid giving it on top and keep it hidden somewhere where it’s very difficult to find. They do it so as to avoid people calling them. They generally five chat support where a robot is there talking to you who cannot understand you any bit. One of them is MyJio app. So it would be great if this could be made mandatory by Indian Govt to put these numbers on top.
