These new gen WRX’s are fantastic! Subaru did a stellar job. Once I got past the plastic cladding I love the car, decided to test drive a new limited. The sti cat back from the factory is a great addition, I had the dealer throw it on before I took it off the lot.
The cladding has grown on me so much that I actually love it now. It just screams practicality and Subaru. At my age I'm looking for reliability as well as fun and this car seems to have it. I work as a car porter unloading brand new cars off the trains and I get to drive these cars very often since Subaru's are always coming and man it always brings a smile to my face whenever I have to move these cars, the driving feel is just superb and so playful and fu. The gear shifting is so notchy and the suspension just feels so plated and in control. Currently saving up my hard earned dollars to purchase a brand new one hopefully mid 2025.
Considering the base wrx is $34k; getting the brakes, wheels, tires, and adaptive suspension plus all the interior upgrades for ~10K with OEM engineering is actually a good deal. Its not going to be as fast as a golf R or GR Corolla but could probably have more fun with it because of that.
You are right about the badge on the front grill, I prefer the subdued color too. And some of the cladding, I do agree with you needs to be changed...also the engine could use a kick in the butt. You are, like me, a connoisseur of fine design/performance cues. The manufacturers have been dropping balls left and right these days , when they could make simple adjustments and come out much better appearance and performance wise. i would take the GRcorolla instead
Can't go wrong with that car!
Wait till you drive a golf r mk8.5. Of course no manual but owning a dsg in my vw it is so fast :)
This is so very true!
America is in stagflation. The car is priced properly. 20 hp 10 torque bump would make people happy. 30 hp with 12 torque bump would make you on top of sales worldwide
I have a gripe about the nomenclature. I was wondering why I started seeing unusual targeted ads after I googled "TS".
That has nothing to do with me.
@@RaitisRides Oh, I'm not troubled by the content of this video. It's Subaru who decided to make things convoluted by using a model name which is a distinction without a real difference.
You can get these at around 39k since they selling bad.
Dang that's in Type R FL5 Territory, which is probably 2x the car
Happy with my 2017😊
If it is tuned should it have more HP instead a golf R will smoke it
This is very true William!
