Man, working with Jackie chan, met Donnie yen and performed in front of him and Mike tyson, make short movies professionally, got visited by kung fu masters from china and got noticed and now a judge of a tournament, why arent you guys famous yet?
what do you define as famous? Becuase they are known well wide by tens of thousands of people, that is some degree of fame already.
Jackie chan?
Cuz u don't think he is!
Lol the kid doing the drunken style. Awesome
Lol is that a Naruto ref i see
Hoodie Girl Naruto got it from Jackie Chan
@@starr4826 watch The Drunken Master, Jackie Chan movie
Turns out he was just imitating his dad.
Silver99 jackie was?
This really gave me a lot of motivation to see the children and young practitioners, I hope one day I will get that level
.
It would be great if they gave classes in my country or go to another country to receive classes.
I feel that it would be difficult for me because of my age, my studies, my school and so on, but they see what they say: "It's never too late to learn".
Mee to
I just started at 30 and feel like i can condition myself to that level still. Just gotta be patient i am not planning on dying anytime soon.
how’s it going??
@@harrisonmpiano5235 covid put a pause on that been cycling/gym daily
What an inspiration. You have no idea. I was kind of burnt out on taekwondo but no longer.

I keep Burmese silat and Filipino escrima alive! I love all traditional martial arts! It's good to practice and be a part of such a heavy and deep thing. Peace. One Love.. Mike.
In 3:13 Andy was like " Hmm how adorable, that deserves a 10" hehehe
Been practicing Shaolin kung fu for about 8 years and I still love it. I wish I started younger. I would love to come train with you guys.
Reason people are not practicing martial arts much anymore:
1. MMA. People were shown that to really fight there is more to it than just exercise or forms. Without knowledge of what the forms mean people got confused and thought there were worthless and just want to do extreme fitness and sparring and stuff like that.
2. Tricking. People do not want to take time to train real martial arts styles and do not want to learn to fight. They are afraid to spar and want to sow off doing acrobatic tricks and not a traditional system.
Those are 2 extremes in different directions of martial arts. The true martial artists will practice forms plus actual fighting as well and not only focus on sport sparring or tournaments, but are not afraid of it either. And they do not do martial arts just to show off either and perform tricks. So somewhere between 1 and 2 are the people who train in real martial arts. We need to promote this balance more!
MaharlikaAWA I feel like most of this is false but oooookay
Perfect Cell Explain.
Does Martial Club hold to the belief that not many people are training and studying in martial arts right now and that martial arts are dying and going extinct?
With the popularity of MMA how is this so?
With the popularity of tricking how is this so?
Maybe bc MMA does not focus on the styles and systems of martial arts so the MMA community.is not concerned with martial arts. Tricking is definately not a martial art and most trickers admit to this. Yet they practice kicks for show but not styles of combat.
Explain how I am wrong. Facts not "feelings" since you are telling me how you feel.
@@MaharlikaAWA In a way, the traditional martial arts has been slowly dying for centuries. Maybe not necessarily dying outright... Some aspects of the martial art will evolve and adapt. Other aspects though are completely lost. Why?
1. Marketing. Masters have to structure their teaching in a way that will attract customers. Poor advertisement, personality of the instructor, etc. may dissuade customers from learning. I'm sure many or most masters would teach for free out of enjoyment and tradition, but they also have to make a living. Teaching martial arts for a living doesn't exactly make you a millionaire.
2. Time. Modern society doesn't have time to be spending on this "extracurricular activity". People will take a class because they got inspired by a recent movie then drop out after a few months, others drop out because they have "better" things to do, or are consumed by work. Rarely do you find the individual that stays in a single martial arts for more than a few years.
3. Dedication. Relating to the above, most students don't stay in a martial art long enough for the master to teach them everything they know. This results in a loss of knowledge transfer. The people who know "everything" die off, and the next generation knows even less.
People who learn the forms learn how to do the moves. After when they learn how to apply the moves they will be much better because they know how to do the moves
Also it doesn’t you have to know a lot of Kung fu to be good
Great work Andy and Martial Club!
Martial arts is alive and well, but the traditional martial arts is rare. I hope more people will recognize the importance of traditional styles. It doesn’t deserve to go extinct. It is the foundation of where every martial artist is and wants to be.
Oh i wanna cry!
Martial arts cannot die Dude
Imperial Commander Yue Fei 岳飛 there are also alot of different Martial art dances .
Excellent video Andy Le if Netflix ever makes a Master Of Kung Fu series you should totally audition for the role of Shang Chi I think you would be prefect for the role.
Chris Beratis it’s confirmed to be an MCU movie
Your prediction came true!
dang u predicted right that he would be in chang chi
I love your videos! you inspire me a lot
Great seeing you there!! Great job too!! Wonderful tournament.🙇🙇🙇🙏
Kid with the blue belt is sick!
I do not understand why you guys say that martial arts are going extinct. There are more practisioners now than ever. Furthermore, they are constantly gaining more popularity thanks to movies and television series.
The guy at 1:54 is my master
Lol
Awesome video Andy!!!!!!!
The kids were so good! This was so satisfying to watch
Honestly I’m just a boxer and I want to wrestle, but I respect all martial arts. They all have a place and it’s cool to see how they fit in.
7:25 that random strike at the end😆
These kids were legit!
ENTER THE TEKKEN! 😍
Everyone: *watching epic fighting skills*
Me: *listening to the music*
The song in the background at the start of the video, is from Dragon Tiger Gate. Good movie 👍
That Dragon Tiger Gate soundtrack in the background. Nooice
I don't know any actual kung fu but i mixed some moves that i know and called it martial art.
Surprisingly effective tho..
Another great video as always 😎😎👌👌
I don't understand how you guys don't have millions of followers you guys are legit keep up the good work

This reminds me of when I used to do demos like 15 years ago. Hard basketball court floor? No problem! Cement? No problem! It was brutal. You don't REALLY feel the impact when you're performing, but when you first get to a venue and see there's no considerate accommodations for the event, you just know the guy who has to demo Di Tang is wishing he forgot to come.
And, OMG I'm so sick of hearing the Wong Fei Hung theme song!
But the small children had like perfect stances and rythm
I attended! It was awesome I got 2nd place
This was in 2019 btw
When I was a kid I attended Taekwondo and learned how to fight with the katana.
Erik Chepkyy that’s awesome! A Korean fighting style with a Japanese weapon
@@Urteyz No, I started with the katana in Aikido when I was 7, although it was a wooden one we still learned the basics. Taekwondo came before that, wasn't a great fit, so I left.
Still waiting on my shout out from being a patron lol. I always look forward to seeing your videos Martial Club, keep the dream alive brother.
I came to see violence and blood. WHERE IS MY FIGHTING
go at USA streets
george wong trust me that’s the perfect place to go
Cool video, I judged the national British Wushu Toulu Competition last month despite only having been training in it myself for 9 months 😂
Basically my master needed people aged over 18 lol.
I felt the same about being worried about judging right but you get used to it, judging another this month possibly.
You are a great judge.
i love kungfu......
i train kungfu everday but till now i can't do a b-twist 😂
The blue belts did pretty good.
How do I get involved in competition like this where should I look to train?
I’m attempting to make a plan to compete in Shaolin kung fu tournaments like this but I don’t know where to begin
Do I save for China save for La shoalin temple
attend wushu tournaments?
Andy can you make a video on how to do the starfish kip up please.
Awesome! Nice to see Shi Yan Hong there!😃
He'll yeah bro you sick.
Can they use those move in a figth? I looks really good but .....
So early 😃
Hey Andy how’s it going? I’m a self taught martial artist, but I also train at a dojo. I know boxing, wrestling, jiujitsu, judo, karate, taekwondo, Muay Thai, Kung fu, and escrima. I was wondering if you were self taught as well or do you train at a dojo
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Drunk at 2:33
I really like the taolu, but was there fighting aswell?
Everybody was kung fu fighting
Ego booster 😂😂😂😂 good attitude man
you should go in thinking about what you want to judge people on and stick to that criteria. So long as you stick to it and don't change what you're looking for then it'll be fair
4:20 what's that move called? The timetraveler?
I can’t believe this
What is your guys's Style
Oh hey the kid @ 2:41 trains with me, he mentioned he was going to LA for some tournament
nice guns! Andy :)
This is what I want to see in a tournament fight
So do you guys still hang out with Sean O’Malley?
sweet breakdancing
awesome
How can I join a tournament?
The link to shaolin training doesn't work. :(
Saludos desde CHILE
men you are great master
How come I didn't see any shuang gu forms
That’s cool and all, but did anyone fought one another?
Those forms can be applied in real life.
I am studying under a international martial arts referee called siddhique ali i am studying budo khan i worked hard and i am brown ii
My one black belt
This is a demonstration, not a tournament.
Out of curiosity were the other judges experienced at judging contests?
Couldn't help but wonder if the same thing might be going through their heads if they were judging for the first time and may have all been looking at the other judges scores hoping their's would also be in line with the others.
But made me laugh knowing you had no direction on how to score so were marking people randomly to 3 significant figures meaning that you were effectively giving them a maximum score of 1,000. I can understand why as don't want to give a low score and want to appear that you know what you are doing so guessing you gave everyone a 9 so they didn't feel bad then did the next number as an actual mark out of 10 based on their performance and am guessing the last digit was a random number to make it seem like there was a complicated scoring system. Am I close?
I don't think it will matter how you score the competitors as will see which ones are better and how much better and give them a higher score to reflect the higher skill, so have no doubt that the best competitor will have won regardless and more important to have an experienced martial artist that knows what to look for in terms of skill level than an experienced judge as someone may have a scorecard and issue a score based on ticking boxes but if they don't understand which direction the toes should be pointing in a specific move in order for the power to be directed to the strike or which target a strike should be aimed, or even where the focus is of the competitor while performing a form etc. then will not be as fair or good a judge as an experienced martial artist that can look at someone's posture in their first stance and instantly know how good they are.
Hi
Do you practice Sanda?
The master that said good I am good is my master
Ojalá hablarán en español... I am from Colombia. I practice Shaolin Kung fu
At the end of the day, thats just cirus in the name of martial art
