I love the bus, especially how u did not touch the drivers area but left it original.
Talk to I more about the bus how it’s running etc.

I don't give a poop how old you pretend to be, John, you have a beautiful piece of machinery.✌️

Thanks Eric, it does get a lot of attention in the campgrounds. I'm still old either way.

Hi John, searched for you on UA-cam, wanted to say thank you helping my wife and I at the Nashville KOA on Thanksgiving 2020. You may remember diagnosing that our Thor Magnitude main slide out need a manual push to slide in. We had to do that all the way back to Cali. I got so distracted by the issue got in and drove away while we were still plugged in. We still laugh about the blunder and you trying to talk me off the ledge sharing the 3 times you had mishaps with Strayhound. Well that's 3 times in 40 years , something tell me me I'll beat that number! Thanks again!

Hi RubySue! How nice to hear from you. Thanks for taking the time to find me and write. I thought many times about that day and wish I had taken more time to crawl under there and help you with the electrical connections. Might have been able to get you fixed up. Hope it wasn't too long before you were back on the road. Hope we cross paths again! Check out my video from our Nashville trip! (although there's not much Nashville stuff, mostly to and from things) Happy Trails!

You were deluxe swingers for a short while! I laughed at your quip about them apparently forgetting the trees you'd ordered.

Ha! I guess we were. The irony is, the day we moved to the site in the back with the trees, someone came in on our "deluxe site" with a fifth wheel and more stuff than I've ever seen on a campsite and the campground came along and replaced two of the little trees they planted that had died. I guess the old bus didn't rate such high level service. (I could never own one of those things.)

I love the brake check at 4:15ish in your video, may I suggest a "Grover stuttertone" or better yet my favorite being a Locomotive Engineer, the Nathan Air Chimes KL5A 👍

At 12:10 did your kayak fly off your roof rack?😂

My wife hates it when I blast them with the air horn. Don't think she'd go for the fire truck type.

Whatch out at 16:40, the kids on the bikes are going to follow you while sniffing the exaust pipe.

Not at this campground, but at Chincoteague last year there was a kid who was crazy about the bus. I tried to give him a ride as we were leaving after okaying it with his parents but he was nowhere to be found unfortunately. Those kids in the KOA were oblivious.

I do pretty much all the maintenance. I took the transmission out and had it rebuilt (beyond my skill set) a few years ago. Thought I had a video on that but guess not. Be sure to check out my six part series on the frame repair. That was a five month job! Thanks for watching and for the comments and questions!
