This is the holy grail of advice. I wish i saw this in 11th... I was always a deep studting person and i did so in 11th as well. But as i realised that my teachers and peers were going astronomically faster than me i got scared and rushed by the portions as well. I should've trusted that the graph of my learning was not just increasing but so was its acceleration. From now onwards u will not lie to myself, i will deep study only and compare myself to myself only.
Deep study is needed but so is revision (basically repetition) otherwise you might understand something deeply but forget quickly due to the plethora of concepts and rules (mostly in chem). That is the benefit these early prep starters have. I didn't have enough revision time during my days due to which even though my understanding during study was good and deep and I scored awesome in class tests when the chapter was taught, (used to score close to 2 digit JEE-A rankers, sometimes even more) I had poor recall during the exams and it hit me horribly (got lower 4 digit finally). Enough revision and practice will also help you remember some small things like familiar equations/solutions, problem patterns, etc., which might not be related to understanding but can speed up your problem solving. After all, you cannot derive everything from first principles in the exam hall and it is an MCQ exam so no points for doing stuff partially or for correct "approach". The faster you solve the problems, the more relaxed you are during the exam and the more accurately you solve. On the contrary, if you waste time or are slow in recalling stuff, you panic due to less time left and screw up other problems as well. It's a domino effect. Also, please please take care of your health, especially if you already have existing issues. This aspect also affected my everyday routine heavily as well as my overall well being. Take care and all the best to all the aspirants!

Again excellent advice. To students reading this comment: Please pay attention to the points made by the good professor here, this sort of advice is very possibly not available elsewhere. To everyone: 1. Please pardon my extention to the advice. Between 8:00 and 9:00 a point was made about the difficulty of remembering the many many shortcut methods. I'd say, grasp the topics and the principles (core ideas) by taking your time, this will later aid you in remembering the shortcuts, which are easily picked up once the basics are grasped. Without good grasp of basics a shortcut will not be 'connected' to the core ideas, but will seem like an unmoored method to remember increasing cognitive load, not an quick obvious extension to the the core. 2. There seems to be a concern ( I think it is in the mind) wherein many a student keeps comparing his/her progress to that of the peers; This is almost entirely futile, don't look over your shoulder, don't peer ahead, after all this isn't literally a sprint... it is more like a marathon. The good prof's point of starting solidly and then picking up pace later is so very true, especially in the context of competitive exams as many problems involve a mix of topics.
Sir in one of your previous video where you said that if you aren't able to solve the problem don't just immediately look at the solution. Spend some time thinking and try to solve. And to be honest it really helped me. For me some problems at start it seem very difficult . But when I spend 10-15minutes of thinking rereading the question and sometimes drawing diagram. Really wise words even as a former neet aspirant grasping how thing works is exponentially more difficult at the initial phase but the results are huge and evergiving (obv for phy and chem though) and coming to the shortcuts only go for them when you are thorough with the basics because you will always have a solid backup incase you forget
Thanku soo much sir ...I am going to take 2 nd drop this year for neet and I realised that I foucused more on mugging up formulas and tricks but as we move further in chapters we keep forgetting those tricks and formulas ...hence giving the required time and dedication to the chapters and concepts will strengthen your problem solving skills.❤

I echo with everything that Sir said here about getting your fundamentals right. Did my Masters in 40s, sitting with 20 year olds in class. I firmly believe that spending lots of time earlier in life on fundamentals helps you sail through higher level concepts easily
What I have realised overtime that if I have to get edge in modern competitive world then I need to be consistent in my daily routine no matter whether I'm feeling like doing it or not . If I stay consistent then I definitely gets lead than my peers because most of them will quit once it becomes monotonous and boring. If you stay on path and remains focus and consistent then it will defintely compounds your progress . All you need is to be patient and having firm belief in youself that I can and I will do it no matter how long it will takes.
Deep learning is not problem solving and revisiting , its about how one interacts and analyzes data to store in the memory that can be used whenever required.

Hey Sneha! Ayush here Don't worry. I have gone through the same situation. I took 2 drops for neet but didn't got a seat in govt college. I appeared for ICAR and cleared. Completed 4 yr graduation and got placement in TATA chemicals. Worked 1.5 year there and finally decided to prepare for state PSC. And you know what, I cleared. Now I'm a govt officer under state PSC. I and my family are so happy for me. Sometimes my mom says "accha hua tera neet ni hua".😅 Fact is I was so much unsatisfied by myself after not getting a medical seat. I carried it for many years (more than 4 years, whole graduation). But today I am happier than I would happen as a medical graduate. I feel more successful than a medical graduate. Even my medical graduated friends say that I'm at much better position in life than them. I just wanted to tell u and students like you that don't judge urself so early. Life is long. Yes, it is. If you have honestly put ur efforts, results don't matter. Your efforts will show up in one or another way. Also you should watch famous Stanford speech of Steve Job of connecting dots. You never know the reason of bad things. Sometimes bad things happens because of bigger good things in the future. God has plan for each one of us. And that plan is always better than what we expect from ourselves! Cheers, be happy. Live in the moment!

Just ask yourself this question - Do you really need that speed while studying the concept ? Or is it just peer pressure. Speed at solving is all together a different skill. When you have covered a significant portion of the syllabus, it will automatically start developing. If it doesn't, start solving really easy questions with timer, it really helps.

@@Lakshyains7 Honestly, your case is very similar to mine. But don't worry at all. If you go really deep into a topic, all concepts which you have learnt before will be solidified. Moreover, it will help to catch on things in later portions significantly easily, because your brain unconsciously will be thinking and making connections. If you really get used to this practice of deep study, it will soon become automatic, and then you won't have to exert the same effort. If you still feel your peers are ahead of you, just ask them how many times they need to revise in order to remember those tricks.

I HAVE BEEN GONE THROUGH SO MANY VEDIOS AND SO MANY TEACHERS MENTOR BUS I DIDNT GET ANSWER TO MY THIS PROBLEM OF TAKING TOO MUCH TIME IN SOLVING JUST COUPLE OF PROBLEM AND I THINK NO JUST THIS VEDIO YOUR WHOLE PLAYLIST IS JUST AT A GOD LEVEL;
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP YOU DEFINITLY DESERVE A LIKE BUT SORRY TO SAY I AM NOT GONNA SHARE IT

Very well explained sir 🙏 it'll boost the confidence of 11th class students who started preparing from 11th class only 👍👍
This one video can change a life..Thank you sir❤
I echo with everything that Sir said here about getting your fundamentals right. Did my Masters in 40s, sitting with 20 year olds in class. I firmly believe that spending lots of time earlier in life on fundamentals helps you sail through higher level concepts easily
Sir you don't know about the excitement I had just after looking at the thumbnail... This is a very big problem I am facing.
you are doing a fantastic job Sri. Chakraborty
Sir your english is so nice and so lucid ❤
Deep learning is not problem solving and revisiting , its about how one interacts and analyzes data to store in the memory that can be used whenever required.
Solving problems helps to memorize information more precisely so that we can remember it any time.
@@speed-o-sound_sonic one can solve problems just to memorize the procedure of calculation ,that is not deep learning.
By far the best advice sir. Thank you to be alive.❤❤
I felt some concrete belief in your words ! Thank you
Sir, please give tips for computer science students as well.

Sir, kindly make a video on how to manage deep study with a full Time job.
But the Colleges are teaching only for exams and not for the conceptual understanding of the subject which will help us in future in one or the other way.
Exactly 💯

Sir can you explain the timeline to maintain to finish the JEE syllabus in just a year starting from the month of june.
That would be super helpful! Second that
by studying
That is the problem. Believe me, that is far from possible. You cannot complete the syllabus, accept this truth so it will save a lot of time.

Thanks for your guidance sir..I am facing this situation wherein I am unable to give a lot of time to previous year questions but am sincerely doing my coaching tests and modules... I am spending time on new questions myself and that is the reason I am lagging behind in pyqs.. I am afraid that I won't be able to cover pyqs like others who practice 5-10 years papers... Can you suggest something to me
Sir Iam currently facing a weird problem, Iam a dropper and due to financial constraints of my family I am currently giving tutions to some juniors. But I get myself too much invested with them, so much so that all day I only think of how can I teach them better, what good questions can I ask them etc.... It's been a month I haven't touched my studies properly neither can I focus in it.. Please help me 🙏
I think you should strictly limit time of your tuition and major part should be given to your studies. Also it may happen due to your inherent interest in teaching but limiting tuition time is a must even if you have to face some financial difficulties, you should take them as investment for you better future.
@@dineshmathsclasses2514 try to give tutuion on that chpetrs that us studied to small 11 an 12th bois who r going to school , and secretly teach them jee concepts , 10 wale bacho ko chordo and irodov jaise book mai tumhe jo doubt phele aye ho vo unka krado tumhara revision bhi ho jyega

Sir your vedios are really helpful for us❤
Thankyou sir for guiding us
sir please make a video on how to minimize mistakes during study. and how to actually revise before tests as revision of theory doesn't do the thing .
Thank you.
I took 3drops, 3 attempts for Neet but I not able to crack, failed 3times and going to quit the preparation...But I am 21aged right now 12th pass only...I will give Nursing exam but it's only 10/11days left😭😞...I didn't able to study after 5th may and I don't know what will happen to me😞😞but I lost the interest on my study....I want to study but I can't able to focus anymore 😞😞
Don't worry snehadas forget about what happened in the past and think about the future and taking right decision is the main thing just talk about with your friends and parents think twice
Hey Sneha! Ayush here
Don't worry.
Sometimes my mom says "accha hua tera neet ni hua".😅
Fact is I was so much unsatisfied by myself after not getting a medical seat.
Dear sister ,the motivation to study comes from inner soul ,find the reason for it..I took 4 attempts rigorously struggled ,hustled and came out with the AIR 9052 ,now completed my MBBS..All the best for your future.

Sir please make some guidance video for mechanical engineering ❤
I was confused a bit whether to focus only on concept building or try remembering the shorcuts too... which are really many for a teaching competitive exam. Thankyou for the suggestions.

Thank you professor for your advice to the students. Do you think that in our country there is imbalance between fundamental research and technological research. In present day world fundamental researches of importance are not published by many countries.

Sir how can we build different approaches to solve questions. Because as a self study aspirant I face this type of problems and sometimes I go blank while solving. What will be the correct way to become better
This is a brilliant video, Professor! I hope it reaches a million views. Wanted to ask - what is your advice on studying multiple subjects at once? If we study multiple subjects for 1-2 hours in a day, will we retain the information? Or is it better to do 1 subject for the whole day, then switch to another subject the next day? Pls advise.
Respected sir, please make a video on dropping along with college.
Shall I take electrical in one of NITs and prepare for advanced next year?
I will be back after 3 months here ❤

Sir I'm preparing for UPSC exam, it is all theory. Can you please tell how to improve memory and be able to remember things for a longer time.
Sir, I'm an average student and I am ready to devote 11 hours on a regular basis but please provide some guidance sir. It'll really help me sir.
3:11 Thank you so much Sir for recognising the 'natural differences in intellectual abilities'. ❤ Otherwise this whole propaganda of 'equality' was taking a toll on me.
Sir everything is good but the thing is question taking lots of time to solve without seeing solutions what should I do to increase my speed in questions solving please help 😢
@@jahnvisingh8015 I didn't really need speed in solving questions I love to study a particular question in depth for long time but the problem is it's taking a lot of time and creating backlog in some subjects due to this I lack behind some topics too...
@@jahnvisingh8015 no it's a peer pressure but like that if I am spending more time in maths I lack behind physical chemistry...if I spending more time in phy I lack behind maths ....And really thank you that you understand my problem give me some advice I will try to work on this.
@@jahnvisingh8015 Thank you so much mam for your help now I am feeling more motivated....It really helps when someone help us in this type of situation yes I will definitely work on thing that you have suggested to me I will try to some more efforts on Understanding the concept thoroughly and enjoy this journey of Jee.. :)
