Anyone know how to make sure notifications always come through? I subscribed to wirt and had notifications on but only for live. The first stream after that worked (last night) but this morning I got no notification. Is it just random?
I'm starting to think they (the mappers) overdid it. A 30-50% increase in difficulty and/or length wrt DD1 would've been still a huge challenge, but it's looking more like a 400-500% 😢
How? He's halfway through at about the time it took him to beat deep dip. If anything it looks like a bit more than double as hard, for a 25k prize pool must I add. Totally fair. I'm actually annoyed that so many tricks are recoverable and so many falls end on a usable floor below instead of in the mud. Also, bren, elconn, hazardu all have much less time than wirtual and are higher. If anything it's less than a doubling in difficulty according to their skills.
Yeah I would agree. With the hardest maps, according to the mappers, coming up this event is going to take at least another week if not longer before someone finishes. I think the mappers didn’t account for the fact that when you increase the difficulty of any one level and then stack it on another level with increased difficulty you don’t just add the difficulty together. It is more exponential in natural. A 10% increase in difficulty for 10 levels doesn’t increase it by 100% it is actually increased by 159%. 20% increase each level doesn’t increase it by 200% it is actually increase by 519%. Not to mention they are kind of shooting themselves in the foot for next year.
Wirt needs to stop putting so much pressure on himself... he doesn't need to be the first person to finish the map, he just needs to go at his own pace.
I mean he has at least 400-600 thousand people invested into his climb to the top. There is not really a way you can ignore it fr. And it’s all he’s done since it came out. Spending 3 full active days playing a map is mentally draining in itself
I am worried that this Deep Dip 2 was a bad idea. This is draining both Wirtual and Scrapie in I way I have never seen before.... and they are not even halfway. If you look at the progress and put some math to it we are talking about 150-200 hours to do the last 8-10 floors. That is not including the 70 hours already. Using 200+ hours to get to the last floor and then make a mistake at the last jump can be so hard on you. Deep Dip 2 is to hard if you ask me.
