Losing a loved one is never easy, that’s for sure. But sometimes even when you’re grieving, you can take things way too far. I’m glad he got the help he needed and that she stuck by his side.

Wow...his grief took a toll on him. And, nobody didn't even noticed his suffering even though they said he isolated for some time.

Caleb should've asked Jennifer to come inside his house and sit down for coffee. While inside his home, he explains that he tried to help Peter out in the past. Even his family begged him to go seek professional help by seeing a therapist to help him deal with his grief. Caleb and their mutual friends tried to have Peter date other women. Each time, it failed because he would always make comparisons between his potential dates and Cecile. Peter even went as far as pushing his family, and friends away to continue living with his beliefs. When he met Jennifer, Caleb and his family were hopeful that she may finally help him move on. But then, Peter put her through the same thing that he put all of his potential dates and made a mannequin of Cecile. Caleb realized how far gone he was and regretted having not told Jennifer the whole story about his friend's delusions sooner. Despite his warning to leave Peter before it's too late, she decided stage an intervention. Jennifer has him admitted to the mental hospital where her older brother works as an orderly and get him help immediately.

She's nicer than me because I had an ex who had lost his girlfriend to cancer 3 years before and he would compare me to her, wanted me to dress like her and gain weight to have her body. I dumped him and told him I pray he gets help. Ever his mom told him to get help or he'll be alone and miserable. I'm sure his late ex wanted him to move on as well. There's no expiration date on grieving over the death of a loved one and nobody has the right to tell you when you should move on, you have to be ready to move on yourself and who cares if it takes a decade. It's also best to seek a therapist too, there's no shame in getting mental help. This woman still loved her husband and saved their marriage by getting him help. Hope they burned that creepy mannequin.

I think that's what happened. Peter took the mannequin and burned the thing.

There's a book written by a Brazilian author named José de Alencar, "Senhora" (Lady), which has the same theme.
It's one of his last books and was published in 1874. Like the guy in the video, the husband had a wax statue in his wife's old bedroom. The book also have a happy ending.

Now that's something you don't see everyday.
Bet that she thought he was cheating her with another with women... But in the end...she wished he had.
A Mannequin of his late wife... Dress like her...so creepy and frightened.
But...I don't critics...after all...Japan has lots of guys like him. One even married a life-like doll of Hatsumi Miku.

The heroine is a very sweet and forgiving girl 😊 She still loved Peter despite his flaws and helped him move on from his grief over Cecile, his late first wife 😊
Though his friend should have been aware of his problem and help him out a lot earlier, as Peter would have never moved on from Cecile if it wasn't for the main heroine 😔
Anyway, I'm glad Peter and his wife still live happily with each other 😊

Yes but the first step to recovery is admitting that you have a serious problem & need help. You have to be honest with yourself & be willing to take that first step. Plus, lots of people are too afraid of getting help out of fear of being judged

What a twist. I figured the wife would leave him and get divorced. Glad she got him the help he needed to recover. Scary looking mannequin. I'd be mad at his friends, they did nothing to help. Friends help in time of need. These clowns didn't. I'd be mad at them too. 🙄 good one.

@@Zurround The episode was called "The After Hours" and it was done twice, once on the original "Twilight Zone" and once on the 1980s series. Of the two, I think the remake was scarier than the original since they added more disturbing elements to the original story (such as the woman looking into a bin full of separated mannequin parts and some of the heads are looking back at her). For a really disturbing movie featuring mannequins see "Tourist Trap."
For a great romantic movie see "Mannequin" (1987): A frustrated artist creates a mannequin who comes to life, but if anyone else sees her she reverts back to being a mannequin.

This happen like in Vietnam, the Dad never leaving deceased wife because his heart still for his late wife until his death, he's never move on from from his late wife's cementry. His name are Le Van. Le Van's wife deceased in 2003 because an illness. He's slept in his wife's cementry at least 20 month until his relatives including his 7 children forcing him for return to home & never comeback to cementry (he's digging late wife's cementry, ignoring other's word like that). 1 years later, in 2004, he's digging his late wife's cementry just bringing his late wife's remains to his house. This make all Neighbours shocked (initially, his neighbours asking Le Van for returning his late wife's remain (was covered by papers similar like skin tone because the body ruined, till plastering his wife's remain with gips) to cementry & saying his are insane)
Despite his insane side. He's have sad story how he's loving his late wife like "Love till death came one of spouse"
I don't know how Le Van's fate... after he's bringing his late wife's remain to his home
