This is probably my favorite anime movie of all time. It holds up incredibly well all these decades later too. An improvement in every measurable sense over the 1985 first film in the series. Sure it's not as goated as Akira or GitS but this is the one i can rewatch 100 times.
This just reminds me of the need for the human-hands value in anime and cartoons. It feels much more satisfying to watch, and probably to create, that way.
I remember when it came out. The voice actor for Borgov put a pencil in his mouth when reciting lines in which his character had a cigar in his mouth. I found that ty be incredibly impressive as a 15 year old 😁 Exceptional film. Have you seen the first one, from the 80s? It's a little different but also very good! I recommend highly.
When i first watched Vampire Hunter D , I seriously thought it was the Undertaker WWE'S Very own popular wrestler , they both dressed alike it was confusing cause i thought some creators made a movie cartoon about the Undertaker which of course as a kid completely blew my mind , i watched Vampire Hunter D all the way through it was a great time for me and I thank the Matrix for hooking it up that night . Im very greatful 🙏. Thank you .

Not everything needs a remake...and i absolutely love animation, but I cant help but want to see a live action version of this. with todays tech, this would be incredible if done right...

This is in the league of the best Japanese anime, it now sits in my favorites right below Spirited Away and Howl.
