"Bésame mucho" ("Kiss me a lot") is a song written in 1941 by Mexican pianist and songwriter Consuelo Velázquez. It's one of the most famous boleros, and was recognized in 1999 as the most sung and recorded Mexican song in the world.

There was nothing I could do, short of asking her to abandon her parents. And I never saw her again.
