I imagine Apple watching your videos screaming behind their engineers, "you fools made it too easy for him! Software brick the machines when it detects an opening."
Hi, top your videos I watch them from Europe. I have a small question, is it possible to disassemble the Digital Crown from the frame because mine is damaged and I would like to change it. Thanks
Yes, it’s a little tricky, I’ve had to create a small wrench out of a razor blade to remove them Around the 12:30 in the video below you will see what I’m referring to. ua-cam.com/video/A5h9tWGy_lE/v-deo.htmlsi=DoupWfWYyZqvkg5T
wow nice job. reminds me of my training we received in tearing down electronic communication gear for overhauls and rebuilds, little too small for me to tackle these days. LOL
What A Wonderful video, this is a 5 stars video quality and narrative too. More videos like this, for those who we like to see in detail I will share this video on my social media
I own a series 7, and I love the watch I wasn’t typically a fan of Apple because of them being anti right to repair… but it’s crazy yet everything being so small their able to fit that many components in such a tight area. I can’t wait to see what technology looks like in another 20 years or more.

I did a tear down on a 41mm and it's a little different than the one u did on the one I did the battery connection was was a a clamp in connector similar to the screen connectors and the mother board had to take out from the bottom side after removing the wireless charger due to housing case overlapping top and bottom of the motherboard from the top side maybe it's because the one I did was a 41mm? I don't know. Interesting love the video.
Well looks like series 7 is an pain for those who fix apple watches.i bought and s7 broken iCloud locked and screen didn’t turn on not sure who messed with but i just tried to take of the glass and i have to say that i don’t think this displays are now meant to be fixed as no meter how careful you are there is an filter layer that is glued on the cristal frame and is hard to get around it and not break it.i will really like to see you making an video taking the glass of from the display and see how will go for you.
I just might do that. The bezel has to be removed at the same time the glass is being removed. It’s easier the more broken the glass is but is definitely tricky.
@@FIXDPHONES do you mean by bezel that frame around the lcd?as that doesn’t need to me removed at all and agree the glass need to be broken to be much easier but i doubt that as ppl learned to protect their watch this time since s7 release i only saw one s7 with broken glass and that now even worked anymore so not sure but the s7 display is way damn expensive 🤣🤣
Do u think that the back glass is replaceable with the series 7 ? I broke it a couple of weeks ago and for some reason I can’t find anybody that could fix it …. Went to Apple shop here Israel got told that it’s not a repair that they do and they offered to give me a small discount on a new watch , hope u can help me thank you in advance
I tried to replace my screen on my s7 (because it broke when I fell of my bicycle). While removing the screen I accidentally cut the digitiser cable… so I ordered a new one, but soldering that cable to the motherboard is (in my opinion) impossible without a microscope… well, I’m gonna sleep on that before ordering it😅
What’s the tool you used for cleaning the adhesive ? I’ve been needing one for ages, I’m going to get arthritis if I keep having to scrub it with a cloth 😁 Awesome tear down too very careful engineer you are, I hate repairing smart watches 😢
You can really make any small Dremel work. You just need a smooth thin shaft that will fit the Dremel and polish the end so it’s not able to scrape anything. as I can’t find a link to this tool as of now.
Hi Fixd! Today i separate the glass from the lcd on a series 7, the touch worked well when i've removed the glass, but after putting the glas on (i used Liquid OCA), the toucht didn't work again. So, what could happen there? In my opinion, i think that i used so much loca, but what do you think? And another thing i forgot to tell you, when i separate the glass, it came out with some plastic layer, do you think it was that affected the touch? (remember that the touch still worked without that plastic film). Thanks you! Such a great job on your video!
The “plastic film” is part of the screen and is difficult not to damage, so I’m not surprised to hear it, however it can affect the touch and it sounds like you might have used too much LOCA. However you should still have some touch even with too much LOCA if everything went right with the cleaning. I wonder if you had touch right before the LOCA went on..
@@FIXDPHONES yeah, i have touch before oca. Yesterday I separate the glass again, and i use the right amount of oca (the screen now has the original thickness), but nothing happens. I don’t know if the type of loca that I use could affect the touch (loca-2500). What can i do? Can i replace that plastic film?
I forgot to charge my watch and it went off with battery power zero and when I contact it to the charger the screen didn’t work and kept black .. would you please advise me on what to do 🙏
Try holding the crown and lock button down for 10 seconds while on the charger. Should fix the issue unless it’s something more extreme like water damage or a failed battery etc.
I would never try to take an Apple Watch apart with all of them little bitty pieces. I’ll leave it up to the experts and let them take care of it. I would probably break it more than what it already is.
I imagine Apple watching your videos screaming behind their engineers, "you fools made it too easy for him! Software brick the machines when it detects an opening."
What if he, or someone he knows closely is from Apple themselves? 😂
Your video editing and production skills are brilliant. Really professional tear down video👍
Glad you enjoyed it!

If you still have the part it’s possible it can be soldered back on. If not but the pads are still there it can still be fixed.
