- This is a short tribute to Andre "The Matrix" Dirrell. He's a participant of the Super Six World Boxing Classic. Other participants are: Arthur Abraham, Andre Ward, Mikkel Kessler, Carl Froch and Jermain Taylor. Dirrell lost the first fight in a controversial decision against Froch. His next opponent will be Arthur Abraham in January.
I cant believe that as talented as dirrell was or still is: he has not achieved a world title yet. I got a feeling the super six took a lot more than we think from Dirrell.

I remeber that fight with the dude in the pink shorts. He split that man's face open with a punch like Edwin Valero got split open by an elbow in his last fight. That shit was amazing!!!!

Dirrell should not feel like he was robbed, instead Andre should feel grateful that he was given an opportunity to share the ring with a GREAT British boxer. Thats worth more than the WBC super middleweight crown.

I like Dirrell saw a vid on his grandfather and understand his showmanship 2 promote fights, however the Cobra was 2 strong, commanded the centre of the ring and Dirrell did not do enough 2 win. Those that watch the rest of the S6 will view the wrath of an angry Cobra.

@ernestot1000 he is hell of a skilled Boxer maybe the most skilled of the super six but there is more factors to be considered in boxing. He is a Quick Flashy boxer most entertaining but unfortunately he has been hurt in the past and now it will be easier for lesser opponent to hurt him again. Thats the way the brain works. Look at Roy Jones he was untouchable but once he got knocked out once. He was never the same.
He is an outstanding American Boxer, but as soon as he came over to the Winners Island, England. Dirrell like so many deluded Yanks before him was bullied into reality via Carl Froch. Ask the Judges

@crewfoos that fight won't never happen, they are good friends. Froch rematch takes a lot of sense now.

uh, he DID dominate froch. all though he was tentative throughout the last two rounds showed how much of a gap there is in terms of talent. and froch had to find out the hard way, and was given a gift decision. for what exactly?? i cant tell you.

In my opinion Dirrell is a very good boxer, very fast and technically, but with Arthur He behaved like a girl. He won by simulation.
He never won that fight, a boxing match is scored several things and the main thing the judges look for is who is the aggressor, dirrell was not, if would have moved out of the way of froch s shots but stayed near him then i agree he would have won the fight however he was throwing shots then running to the oppisite side of the ring. lets not forget it is called a FIGHT and to win a fight you must actually fight. This was the bigest fight he had and was scared to let his hands go.

so i guess your just pretending you didnt see rounds 10-12, when dirrell landed at will whenever he decided to punch,and made froch do the chicken dance. stop living in denial man, froch is a bum and dirrell proved that. wouldnt be suprised kessler gives him an ass kicking as well.

there have been many great british boxers such as nigel benn, lennox lewis etc, and david haye is next in line. but carl froch is nowhere near being great and it was shown in the dirrell fight. froch got rocked in the 11th that made him dance like a drunk on top of landing little to no punches. i dont know how you score a fight, but if you think ineffective aggression, rabbit punches and judo slams wins a fight, then i suggest you to not watch boxing anymore.
