The fact is this is a young team learning to win, and they have a ton of grit and heart. Let's clean up the mistakes and execute better to start these games.
Lane has such great hands and he attacks the ball. If you're going to throw a 50/50 ball, Branch is not the best in that situation. I was also wondering if the Bear flap was effecting the D in the 1st half as they were running up the middle. But the 2nd half D was money! Re Minnesota v Michigan there wasn't an offside on the onside kick and there were other calls that once again helped Michigan. Question is why are the refs so obviously protecting Michigan?
Yep Noa is on the right side of the line along with Murphy and they are definitely not getting it done. We really need to go all out on Oline and Dline recruiting!
I say we move Monheim over to LT and use the experienced redshirt senior Gino Quinones at Center. That brings more experience to our OL and Monheim a reliable blindside blocker for Moss.
Two glaring weaknesses: offensive line and secondary. Riley’s initial game planning seems horrible. Lucky he makes proper adjustments in the second half but come on. Almost as if he doesn’t watch tape on the opposing team.
Good win but have to eliminate slow starts or else this team will lose 2-3 more games. Moss has to throw receivers open so they don’t take shots. Stop using the “ USC didn’t have tape” excuse. Great teams execute and USC needs to start fast next week
I saw all the tweets at halftime, ' this team sucks', this ain't the Pac 12, getting outphysicaled, same shit as last year, blah, blah, blah, then of course crickets in the second half. They beat themselves in the first half, made the adjustments at halftime which they never did or could with Grinch and before him and dominated the second. They are definitely not last year's team! If they don't throw a pick six, they are 4-0. They are doing well...Just come out better in the games, then let's see what happens!
Nice work, gents. It really will be all about the O line. So far they've had to put something together during the game. I'd like to have them put things together BEFORE the game. Not sure if Linc is walking through practice and these guys aren't getting forged into that steel unit. We can't afford to fall back on all patty-cake practices. This is when we need Pete to share his philosophy on Competition Tuesdays!!
I would still prefer if we have a more physical mindset out the gate and establish the run early. It brings the linebackers and safeties closer to the line and makes the play-action calls more successful. Plus, if we can control the ball, it will keep the defense fresh. The weather will be changing in most areas of the country soon. It’s time to shift the focus on ball control.
This OL smh I wonder what’s Riley going to say this week because Riley they didn’t play better & Minnesota has some dogs on defensive they better get it fix on the road
Great ending to a most stressful game. A+ for Lynn and the defensive staff. D- for Riley and offensive staff. I think Riley’s lack of energy (at least in demeanor and tone when he speaks to the press, is infecting the enthusiasm and energy of the offense, also’ Riley has to game plan to help his offense. We all know the weaknesses there, and he ignores it. Very disappointing!
@@AnaMariazander we all know weakness that’s right. Lynn gets a A+ for me all day. Riley has to game plan better he has too you’re right he needs juice something is lacking. Usc has won in the eastern time zone since 2011 or 2013 he has to get this right
@@AnaMariazander yeah branch is having a sophomore slump season for sure he’s not himself especially on special teams. I think Riley needs to put him in better positions to make plays & branch has to work on he’s route running he’s gotta do better.
@AnaMariazander You're not a serious fan or football guru to overlook the missed tackles, poor db coverage, out of position players that led to big gains and ultimately scores for Wisconsin only to give the defense an A+ performance??? The offense was terrible in the first half, and special teams gave up another score. Riley deserves some heat, but the lack of execution by players has to be called out too! Give credit where credit is due like in the second half comeback and victory. The team will learn from these adversities and be better for it. FIGHT ON!!
The fact is this is a young team learning to win, and they have a ton of grit and heart. Let's clean up the mistakes and execute better to start these games.
They need to put all NIL money into O line and D line.
We have to start faster and get the oline together
Miller won't make it unless line gets rearranged,

How come we just can't be happy this team don't quit they fight on !!!!
Can we talk about the right side of the oline and the LT Elijah Paige??? Miller won’t make it through the season with the current combo on the online!
Alani Noa is problematic also....only reliable ones are Eman Pregnon and Jonah Monheim at this point.
A semi-stud in Monheim and 4 guys who truly have no business starting on a power-4 team.
Yep Noa is on the right side of the line along with Murphy and they are definitely not getting it done. We really need to go all out on Oline and Dline recruiting!
Might as well as throw those freshman in there at this point...

Can the real and true USC stop playing around, I’m over-defibrillated!!!
These first half deficits, 14-3 to Michigan and 21-10 to Wisconsin, is UNSUSTAINABLE. And Miller Moss already has a concussion in the 4th game. 🙄
Two glaring weaknesses: offensive line and secondary.

Connor... "post Bear Alexander era" is not a thing

Offensive line rn.needs a ton of work ,their just not good, the weakest link on this team thus far. But a W works for me ✌🏽 Fight On!
Horrible first half. Can’t continue. We still beat the spread with 3 turnovers and won by 17 points.
Jack is ready for Network TV. He's the Rob Fukuzaki of Trojan media. BTW: I saw Rob at a Ducks Hockey game, and he saw dressed to the 9's in a suit.
Three turnovers in the first half gave Wisconsin the ball in good field position...
❤✌🏾

buddy, usc doesn’t leave the west coast after oct 19. so while i agree with you, weather won’t matter much.
That 1st half was embarrassing. When Moss struggled, Riley needs to put Maiva in. Moss has zero awareness when guys are closing in.
I’m glad we won and I’m sure Bear was laughing in the first half, but we definitely had the last laugh…Team over Individuals!
✌🏾
The OL is pathetic.
Was it a sellout? Saw empty seats this stadium aint even loud
Glaring differences in decibel levels switching from our game to Bama vs UGA
USC does not care about selling out the stadium or making the stadium louder for some reason
Win a National Championship and the small 70k coliseum will fill up. Pete Carroll use to fill up the Coliseum when it held 90k people.

As a SC guy, Badgers fans are better than us SC fans! They were loud and proud!
Every game you say that was the worst first half they've played, 🫤 this horrible first half stuff will cost them a W

USC should ban him from the University and the Coliseum
