Moved from San Antonio seven years ago to Ohio. It rains up here way more but it doesn’t have the same primal feel. There are no sheets of mist rolling in on the gusts before the rain falls. There are rarely any thunderstorms worth a damn. It’s just boring, grey, cold rain. I miss home.
I moved from Austin, Texas 27 years ago. There's nothing quite like the sound of a Texas thunderstorm.

I'm from Miami, where we get plenty of rainstorms, and I moved to Houston 8 months ago. I missed the sounds of rain, and found your Videos, and you're from Texas go figure I'd feel at home! Thanks for the soothing sounds of nature! I sleep to one of your videos every night.

The natural progression of the thunderstorm is good.
As for the rain... it's still incongruous to me that I'm looking at rain falling on trees and grass, but I'm /hearing/ rain falling on concrete. Also, there's an odd reverberative ambiance that sounds more like a large room or garage, than an outdoor area.
Is the microphone inside some large shelter like a garage, carport, or roofed picnic structure? Have you tried putting it under a much smaller shelter (like a small umbrella) and having it actually out among the trees?

watch a little more.....I saw raindrops as well as sheets of rain occasionally..
lots of raindrops...the 1st ones start at 1:03...then quite a bit on and off from there.
