I was truly lucky to be able to have some of the BEST ramen in Tokyo but the crazy thing is that it's so easy to do and so affordable. Hit that like, subscribe and that bell if you want to see MORE! goaw.pl/AwesomeTube
Hi Will- this looks like a really exciting series! We love ramen too and we're always on the hunt for ramen joints! We're a big fan of your channel filled with entertaining and knowledgeable videos about travel & gear! You're an inspiration for beginner YTers like us! We're salivating just waiting to see the exclusive video of these renowned Tokyo ramen shops!
This was yet again, another superbly well-made video! Not only learned so much about the different components that make up a bowl of ramen but now we've come away with wonderful recommendations for places to check out in Tokyo (and Toronto)! Also, loved how you included the UI flow when using the Ramen Beast app. That will certainly be a great resource to use when hunting for ramen when in Japan.

Aww thanks for your kind comments and thank you for watching the premiere with me. This was such a fun project to do because as much as I loved ramen, I didn't know nearly enough about it and so this gave me a chance to see the real masters at their craft and what truly makes a good bowl of ramen! :D If you guys go to Tokyo, I hope you'll get to try a few of these spots. More to come though ;)
@@GoingAwesomePlaces We had a blast watching along with you in the premiere too! The craft of the ramen masters was lovingly and wonderfully shown all throughout this video project's production from the videography, script, animations (hello hamaguri clam 8:50 ), SFX, music, and of course your infectious and bright personality. Can't wait to see the next video in the series! Keep up the amazing work!!
I'm the first to crap on shit content that involves UA-camrs always having to video themselves talking, but your humble approach and seeking out Ramen Beast to guide you around deserves a big THUMBS UP. This vid, deserves a lot more views, and I'll have to give a shout out/link to your vid.
Wow, just stumbled upon your channel and what a video! Had no idea about this app - looks like it'll be super useful for our next trip to Japan. Keep up the great work!
ドゥエイタリアン in Ichigaya is great. The Lemon ramen is pretty darn cool too. Plus, you can go check out where Yukio Mishima died a short distance away. Subbed fyi!
I remember going to shichisai in July and it was my first day in Japan. it was a Sunday night so no restaurants in hatchobori (the area where my hotel was) open for dinner. except shichisai. I only went went there cause it was the only thing open and damn was it the best ramen I have ever had it wasn't until October after I left Japan that I found out that shichisai was michelin recommended
A quick question, when you eat with someone like the tour guide, we also buying him the food or no? Because from where i come from, we usually also buy for the guy we invite to eat.
I checked the Ramen Beast tour so it's 22,000 yen for 1 person, 6,000 yen per additional person. All food included (2 Ramen shops) I love Hiroshi though, the guy seems super nice (friend with Bassanova's owner) but lmao.. you can save lots of money by doing your own ramen research and go with friends instead. $200+ for 2 ramen shops guide tour, that's insanely pricey.
SPOTTED! Love how you can always tell a Canadian easily by the Iron Ring. Yes I studied EE. Happy you liked the video! Hope to be back again soon for more :)
Look into Shiritaki noodles. In the US to keep low carb I swap out wheat based noodles for 0 carb shiritaki noodles. Not perfect for low carb but tolerable.
If I didn’t get to try these other ramen shops, I’d ask the same thing as it’s the most popular broth outside of Asia but there’s so much more than tonkotsu.
Japan is one of the places i want to visit before i die there culture fascinates me so your videoes have helped me with my planning on where to go and what to try Thanks When i have the money to do the things you do i will and i will remember the many places you visit
@@doridoridori8 Japanese consumers are so accustomed to good food that I think its harder to find bad ramen in Japan than good ones! There's so many delicious places, there's really no best ramen, and thats why people get addicted trying out all the varieties

konjiki ramen is my only favourite place in toronto,, my go to lazy date nights, also adding pork belly to the mild clam ramen hehehe
I recommend going to Kyoto for the Fire Ramen - Menbakaichidai -- An amazing experience
Great video! I hope you will grow the channel as you certainly deserve it!
The soup looks really good with the noodles.
It would be great if you could list the prices for each place, so viewers can compare with what's on offer at 1000s other regular ramen shops in Tokyo
Got all that on the blog! goingawesomeplaces.com/best-ramen-in-tokyo-japan/
I hope you get famous soon ❤️❤️
I hope so!
You made me hungry! ;) Great video.
The 2nd one looks best for me. Need to visit when I go for the Olympics games next year
Can’t wait til next month...I’ll check out all those places.
Great video Will! Now I crave ramen 🤤
Aww thanks Chatelaine!! Time to start planning that trip to Japan right?? 😉

Lol I feel yah. And I’m the one contributing to your hangry-ness. Whoops!!
Have you tried Kagari Soba in Ginza area? I reckon their tori paitan rame is so good

Sorry for the wrong information spread ed! Ramen needed to be aged not just home made will make the cut. Come down to Tsuta to learn more.
I will have to visit next time!

how did konjiki in tokyo compare to the one in toronto?
What's the prices?
Please put prices on the dishes
Thanks
I recommend 麺や維新 men-ya ISHIN in Meguro, Tokyo.
Shows ramen master making noodles for two minutes
Gets noodles
“Wow you can tell these noodles are completely handmade”
Really? What gave that away?
Could’ve been a robot 🤖🙄
you even invite the wrong person
you should have invite brian from "ramen adventures"

I agree with you 👍

Why is this dude always commenting on the menma?
All Memma are from China, better avoid on all expense.
If only Raman noodles were diabetic friendly! I’m going to Tokyo in December , what will I eat? Don’t care for sushi, can’t eat noodles or rice 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
wagyu beef? mushrooms and seaweed with fish and clams (sometimes as You see truffle oil) ....
konjaku ramen should be fine, right?
Even in my country we have keto ramen options, they use konjac noodles. Good luck.
nah jk lmao, enjoy your trip lol

It has ocean like quality... 🤔🙄🙄🙄

It’s like an Al Pacino right?
No tonkotsu broth? Bad review of ramen

I had truffle oil once in Italy. That junk smelled so bad.

The tour guide is terrible lol
There is NO best ramen. They are all different styles. It is comparing an apple to an orange.
Totally agree; beware of any person or video that says that
I definitely agree with you. That is why people are that addicted to Ramen, I think.
