At 10-15 minutes per game, that makes this a great tool for introducing kids to abstract strategy games. The fact that it plays 2-4 really helps as well. That one-on-one play aspect of most abstract games can be difficult since most kids want to fit first and stand out later.
YES! So glad Zee is doing reviews with Tom
The original game was called "Splits" and the original publisher Jactalea has since changed its name to Blue Orange Europe.
More like, "Hay, That's My Sheep"! HAHAHA. Am I right?
Guys?
You trapped my battle sheep!
you win sir! : D
I love when there are sheep in games. As a knitter and independent yarn dyer, wool is my world. Most of my friends are people I know through knitting and if a game has sheep in it then it takes absolutely no convincing to get the game to the table.
Thanks for the video. I hope to try this game out at Gen Con.
Excellent review. Adding it to my list of games to try
Yay a Zee Review video! Thanks!
You sank my Battle Sheep!
Woo! It's Zee again!
Yea! Zee! More guests please! :)
You mean "holy sheep!", right? Thanks for the review, will check it out. :)
I believe the game that Mr. Garcia referred to, but could not remember the name of, is "Exxit" by Jactalea. It too is published by Blue Orange in Europe according to Board Game Geek. But Exxit is more complex and less fun than Battle Sheep.
Cutting out Sam like this. Unfair. Well jokes aside, this game reminds me of an old Swedish war game. Maybe from the late 70's. That was not a very good game so I forgot the name of it. This at least looks a lot better.
Zee!
Yes - setup for Hey...Fish is way too tedious for he amount of game. For that reason I could see this one easily replacing it. Nice review of a game that looks good.
Cool with Zee!
Hey! That's My Sheep!
Is there anything encouraging a player to carry more stacks with them. I don't see what's stopping them from just leaving one behind every time.
if you lock up a good section, i think you might need to leave a few pieces behind to cash in the spots later
Love Hey! That's My Fish so may to pick this one up!
So.. this looks much like Hey, That's my Fish!
Same Gameplay
Or am I wrong?
Edit: Ok so he said it.
So just they just though farther
Just picked up a copy at a thrift store for $2!
Muuuuuuch better review with him. So much more professional with him and I'm much more drawn in.
Zombie Sheep? Oh yea, its exists. Its called Black Sheep. Its set in New Zeland. Go figure. www.imdb.com/title/tt0779982/
Hey, That's my Fish is a much better game overall. But this one is not a bad game either. This just feels a bit childish.
not baaaaaaad, is what I heard
hahah nice
