I gotta wonder if the pat/ bo screensaver cost a fortune back then! Gosh, 1988 was such an insular year. 1/2 these characters werent even relevant by 1989! Having Didi Delilah and Bo all together, though, was GENIUS, even if the year itself was not!
@shrinefilms1 Yeah that's the weird thing about this era of OLTL. Every year seems very different. I keep forgetting that this is not far after 87, when Dorian was still there, and that this is only one year before things heated up with Megan and the baby switch and all that.
Have to feel for Bo here....he knows that he, Didi and Delilah were as good as dead by this point, yet he can't get through to Joanna because she wouldn't allow the reputation of her villain of a father to be dragged through the mud. Also thought she had some nerve threatening the lives of Didi and Delilah, which proves she wasn't above exploiting their plight herself. No wonder Bo punched her lights out, he saw that was the only way any of them had a chance of getting out of their predictament alive. Now if it was Clint and Viki in this situation, I dare say Clint would have knocked her all the way to the moon and made mincemeat out of Alf.
This is good...confusing, but at least it's very suspenseful. I didn't know DYNAWOMAN Cindy was still on the show at this time. Was this her last appearance? Good scenes w/Cord trying to bluff Elizabeth. I was a bit shocked seeing Bo punch Joanna, even if they did try to make it clear why he did it. Whatever happened to Angel Burgers? Rob is very handsome but not the greatest actor. I read that they had almost fired him at one point (a few years before this) but fan response saved him.
This Rob - Mark Arnold - had been on for just a few months at this point; there was no "almost-firing" for him. He replaced Ted Marcoux, the original Rob. Mark was an experienced soap actor by this point, having been on both Edge of Night and Santa Barbara. He most recently was in Wonder Woman 1984.
Joanna really gave Bo no choice....he saw she cared more about protecting her father's precious reputation than doing the right thing and releasing him, Didi and Delilah. He also knew the time was getting closer when Garth and Alf would decide the three of them had outlived their usefulness and kill them.. I don't know about Garth also disposing of Joanna though. If he could dispose of the trio and make it look like an accident, Joanna might believe it (or make herself believe it anyway). Maybe Bo realized this as well.
Funny. This storyline was more sci fi than Eterna was. I could envision a bunch of paranoid, rich SOB's establish an underground city to hide their wealth.
@CarlD2 That punch wasn't that bad, a little whiffy whuffy clearly designed for RSW no to look too bad. Now, if Cord would have punched her... that might have got ugly! lol!
Best story line ever!
You Got That Right!!!!
Elizabeth Sanders scared the hell out of me when I was a kid!

The tabloid reporter, Stellar, is that Dan Stellar's son, the one from 1985/1986 that was involved with Tina and the Victor Lord inheritance reading?
The tabloid reporter is "Dean Stella," which is the same National Intruder reporter character you are referring to, just played by a different actor.

Whaaaaaa!?! Star Trek: Deep Space 9's Colm Meany and Touched by Angel's Roma Downey.
Two of my favorite Irish actors, 💚☘️💚
