THIS! I don't know why but this interview touched me in a way no other interview has. I felt as if I was in the room on the couch with them. So sincere, so honest, so real. God is all in this message. I feel blessed to have seen this. ❤
I feel the same , I am over here in tears because I know how hard it is to allow God to exhalt you when your onlydesire is to be humble and give Him first place. I get you
Confession....I had never heard of Naomi Raine until today when I decided to binge on Chrystal episodes that I missed over the months. Thank you so much Chrystal and Naomi for your intentional authenticity. I laughed, I cried, I am inspired.😇🤗😂
Me either. I literally had to Google her when the interview started. And I still don't know of the group or any of their songs but I really enjoyed the interview.
Thank you to both of you for your transparency. Mom guilt is a real thing. Really wish I had someone to talk to about this when my kids were small. I've love your energy, the both of you. You two are such a good match together!! Thanks for this. I'm grateful!!
Hi Crystal, I just started watching you this year and I have to say this was by far my favorite interview! I really appreciate yall's willingness to be transparent about your imperfections AND display the Christian life in a practical, honest way. I am listening at my job and I laughed out loud. It felt like I was listening to friends chat while getting my work done- awesome!
25:25 My God I know what she means. That’s exactly how I felt singing. Some told me I was good…others told me I didn’t have the “anointing” because I didn’t do runs all over the place. I hadn’t found my voice yet…and essentially allowed others to take it from me.
Great conversation, I love Naomi Raine. I go to the church she grew up in. I loved when her parents did praise and worship. She’s wonderful. God bless her and family. I love her music it minister to my soul. I love the song I’m not ready❤
I had planned to watch a few minutes, but couldn’t stop… love you Crystal and thanks for allowing me to see more of Naomi the person. Blessings to you both and continue impacting the world❤️
The depth of this conversation is everything!!!!! And talking on the importance of family dynamics and truth telling!!!! Yesssss! Thank you both for being sooo real, authentic, transparency, and truthful.
Thoroughly enjoyed this interview. I started out listening to it on the podcast but then had to come over to UA-cam to watch it because it sounded so exciting!
Thank you so much for this interview, insightful and transparent in going deeper on the everyday issues that might be difficult to to address within the church girls' circles.
I totally appreciate the questions in your interaction with your sister guests. It is sooooo genuine and feel the spirit behind what your doing on this channel. I love this interview and Naomi was a blessing for me today.😢 Thank you so much.
This was a great interview. This was Chrystal sitting talking with her younger sister in the faith. I wanted to address her comments regarding drinking and not being taken over by much wine (Titus 2:3). That is what the scripture shares. The Bible does not tell us not to drink, but there are so many scriptures that highlight the dangers of being taken over by the substance. In the early years of America, many church women were being beaten by their husbands. The main theme for these men was alcohol abuse. Many of them were pastors or church leaders. If you look back at prohibition in the nation, it was mostly born out of the churches' need to get control of the men that were abusing alcohol. When I was coming up in the church, it was a rule for anyone in leadership not to touch alcohol. I never fully understood that rule until I did my undergrad in psychology and my MA in counseling. Many people in our churches are not aware that they may have a history of substance abuse, or impulsivity in their family background, that could lead to one being taken over by this or any other substance. In recent years, many within the church have been laxed on the rule of drinking alcohol for social use. I personally, from reading scripture, do not see anything sinful related to enjoying a glass of wine or beer. I will say this, when the rule was in place it was a safeguard. As a licensed clinical counselor, I have witnessed up close and personal Christian men and women being overtaken by alcohol abuse. At one point, as I counseled, it was the number one issue in broken marriages within the church! Once again, the Bible does not tell us to stay away from it, but it states plainly the dangers of being overtaken (Pro 23). I am 36 years old. I had to make a clear choice early on that I could not touch it. I know my history and know that could potentially be a stumbling block. So it was not the church wanting to keep us from having pleasure, it was more of a wise precaution, due to past history of abuse within the church. I do believe the church could have done better with explaining more. I think we need to get back to some of our standards. There are many being overtaken by wine and struggling in this area in church leadership (do a google search). We need to have more wise counsel and more brother sister talks as the one listed!
BEST podcast/interview EVER! This episode is truly exceptional! Y’all presence and insights are incredibly refreshing. Thank you both for your unwavering dedication to furthering God’s Kingdom and edifying His people. It's truly a blessing to have you.
I'm also learning to walk in my calling. I've had a lot of fear with sharing my life story. My life has been in public view from birth. I'm just now able to even talk about parts of my real life story.
