GRAVEL KENYA | FATPIGEON GOES MIGRATION GRAVEL RACE 2.0

- In the summer of 2022, right after #Unbound by @LifeTimeEvents, the attention of the racier part of the #gravel community shifted to #kenya.
For a second year in a row we gathered with riders from all over the world for the Migration Gravel Race. A true 'once in a lifetime' race, we really wanted to experience another time.
The Migration Gravel Race (MGR) is a semi supported four day stage race that earns its name from the annual migration of millions of Wildebeasts. In our first edition we rattled our bikes and bodies, so this time we brought a better ‘horse for the course’. Which made the whole experience even better than in 2021.
Spots are equally split over local and non-local riders. With local riders coming from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Zambia. And non-local riders from Alaska (Lael Wilcox, inspiration) to South Africa (Jaco van Gass, Army veteran and Olympic Gold), Australia (Lachlan Morton from @EFProCycling) and everything in between.
Editorial note: All riders are welcomed and female riders who feel strong and/or adventurous like @JulietElliottsChannel are very much welcomed by the organisation.

SK always in our hearts. Well done guys…. See you at the next one! ❤️
Than you David. Three times a charm right? Sule will forever be remembered via the wonderful generation of friends and talents that we’ve met along the way. So sorry for his loss.
Great story. Karibu Kenya.
Hi Alexander, Karibu Kenya indeed! Thanks for stopping bye and sharing your comment. Man, cycling trough Kenya was such a fun and life enriching experience! You’ve been there too?
@@fatpigeon I cycle through these kinds of trails every other weekend. I live in Kenya. Still yet to figure out this gravel bike thing. Sticking to my mtb for now. Just uploaded a video of a descent I did this past weekend. Footage is nothing close to your kind of production. Watch, Like, Comment, Subscribe, Share. And have a great 2023. Thanks.
This is a future dream Race for me
You wouldn’t regret to take the leap. It’s quite journey to Kenya, but one that you’ll remember for your life. The sense of comradery from first pros to last was amazing
@@fatpigeon I have to prove my ability to myself through local gravel races so I may be approved. Hopeful for 2024. Appreciate your encouragement
Such an amazing adventure! Love the video
Hey hey hey, thanks for sharing your good vibes Robbert! We heard applications are opening soon ;-)
Great video mates🎉🎉🎉👌🙌
Mister Ngigi! Thanks for your applause and thanks to your help. If there’s one guy who saw it all, it was you!
Looks like an amazing adventure!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing! What size tires are you running?
Hi Boss, thats a very relevant question. Nol raced the 50mm Continental Hardpack: a tyre with a wide footprint, a flat central tread, fast on the straight, grippy in the corners. I rode the 2.1inch Vittoria Mezcal MTB tyre: an even wider footprint, a little less speed, but giving me a better sense of control and the ability to hoover/motor over all the insane rocks we passed along the way. Both of us rode the Kanzo Adventure, which fits 29" tires. How does that answer your question? Have a great day, Loek
@@fatpigeon Thanks for that! It does look like some challenging terrain!
Quality as always 🙌
Legend! Thanks for sharing that beautiful opinion ❤
