Hi Dave. Very enjoyable series once again, thank you. I appreciate all the work you put in to keep producing these and cheer up the winter for all your subscribers.
As always…enjoyed this vlog immensely. Hope you weren’t too sad at leaving early. Hope yourself and Christine & family have a lovely Christmas and New Year 😊
Hi Carol, not too sad as we already had a week on Thunder and the weather was about to turn bad. Have a great Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
Thanks Dave for taking us along on this lovely adventure, the pump out charge seems to go along with the Broads rip off charges which are going to ruin the holidays down there, I thought that it was expensive on the Thames being charged £12.50 per toilet in 2019. More people will be going abroad next year, short sighted business, I'd say. Apart from that this has been a wonderful cruise and I hope that you and Chris had a fantastic time. Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Hi Stevie, I fear there will be more businesses closing down on the Broads as people won't pay over the top for an holiday in England when they can go abroad for cheaper. Have a great Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
At the White Heron pub you picked up the Sarsons Vinegar, The old commercial for Sarsons Vinegar was "If it ain't Sarsons it ain't vinegar." I think it's true, no vinegar is as good as sarsons, especially on fish n chips.
I really like the food at the White Heron, I think it might be affiliated to Broom as we hired a White Heron from them earlier this year. It's kinda an updated Captain.
@@KevinMick Broom Boats now own the White Heron. This winter they are hiring Boats as statics in the Marina and offering a bed and breakfast deal with food at the White Heron.
Dave. A couple of questions if I may. Is it a fact there will be a mooring fee @ Reedham this year? And is Waverney River Center still a freebie for hire boats would you know? If I see you in April I'll get you a beer. Cheers Mark
Hi Mark, there is talk of a mooring fee at Reedham this year. When I'm not sure. Waveney River Centre was only free for hire boat's when they hired their own boat's. The marina is now only for private boats who have permanent moorings. There are a couple or three visitor moorings on the main river.
£25 per pump out.... £1.75 per litre! But pricey on the southern broads.. But there is a lack of competition so you can understand why they are able to charge these figures Sadly I cant see new yards opening any time soon!
Hi Warren, how are you and Julie doing? Definitely a captive audience on the Southern rivers. Brooms take the proverbial by charging 25 quid for one and 50 quid for two pump outs.
@@Norfolk-Broads-with-Dave Yes both great Looking forward to a good Christmas break as working next week We are back on Moonlight Shadow first week in May and our son Mike, his misses April and our granddaughter Ellie are on Conway Bridge as it's her first ever Norfolk holiday and we can't wait. She will just love the outdoors, the wildlife, fishing and more. She will be bitten by the Norfolk bug. We are planning days for a 2 year old, which is easy as Salhouse, Fleet Dyke and others will be magical to her and the Ferry Inn and Bridge Inn will give options for youngsters of all ages!!
Hi Mark, it really depends on the time of year and how long the heater is on. At the beginning of October when it was really warm we used around 35 litres staying North. A couple of days we didn't travel far but still managed to cover most of the Northern rivers.
Many thanks for the reply. I had read a horror story somewhere online that someone had been asked for £400 ontop of their deposit. Looking forward to this trip in April. Been a long time since I was on The Broads. Am enjoying your videos and taking a lot in from them. Thanks again.@@Norfolk-Broads-with-Dave
@@markrhadley332 £400? WOW! If it was a big Broom Boat out for a few weeks with hours of travel, then that might be possible but even if you covered the whole of the Northern Rivers three time in the week you would struggle to use anywhere near an extra £400. Enjoy your trip and shout up if there is anything I can help you with.

Hi Dave. Really enjoying your vids mate. Keepin it real! I’m living in Portugal now but going to the Broads in March. All the best mate!
Thanks. I hope the tides are back to normal for you in March.
I hope so. I’ve seen all the recent flooding there. Fingers crossed!

We took shelter in Richardsons marina for the last day of our holiday, their diesel was £1.60 so it's a lot more expensive down south
Hi Steve, it makes a difference when you do a lot of Cruising.

Rocky in Rockland
It was a bit breezy.
Is that your catch phrase…’have I told you about the wind’?
Impressive footage of Rockland Broad all choppy.
It seems to have become my catchphrase. Blooming wind. 😅
If it ain't Sarsons it ain't vinegar!
Hi Kevin, I will have to watch the video to work that one out. 😄
