The difference between hindi films and Nepalese films is that hindi films are fantacised and fabricated beyond reality. Thats why films like Slumdog Millionaire and City of Joy were not liked and digested by indian audience whereas they were acclaimed all over the world. These films are real indian films the rest of the world knows and wants to watch.
Nepalese movies are based more on strong cultural issues than fantacised or fabricated. The trend could be a copy cat of hindi films but still Nepalese audience prefer Nepali films based on strong cultural issues. There is appreciation of Nepalese films by Nepalese filmgoers. Its a good sign.
