- The Jefferson County Historical Society Threshing Bee
Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 9 and 10, 2023
Held at Casad Family Farms, Madras, OR, where about 1 ½ acres of Sonora wheat was harvested.
Percheron horses, owned by Mike McIntosh, of Terrebonne, OR, pulled an antique John Deere reaper-binder, which cut, collected and bundled the wheat.
Those bundles were hand-loaded into David Campbell’s (CCIWB) antique Ellis Keystone wooden thresher, which separates the wheat kernels from the chaff.

So wise , Thank You . A fine example of how inovative and hard working Grand Pa and Grand Ma were. Such fine horses . Preserving history is GOOD
Sir I just watched the Casey's video, you're such a character👍 you need to be more in front of the camera just as much as behind it while filming your cool equipment 👍.
Nice drone footage. You put it all in order. The Sonora wheat is evidently tall. Those looked like long bundles.
Thank you.
Nice to how it is done. Here in my Ardennes barns I found a wind machine. It has such a big wheel inside that looks like a watermillwheel. It is intact and the old German text is still on there. It is light blue with white text. This was an old cow farm and has three big hay attics. I also found these belts and also straw cutting wheels (big). Also the smithing area still has nice items in it. I keep it ofcourse. The sieve machine I took from a straw attic with a Manitou is in a less good condition. Regards from Belgium
yall have things down to childs play
