I find it interesting how many people don't actually know what 'Celtic' even really means, at least in the UK. I certainly didn't before picking up a book on the subject (I can recommend 'Exploring the world of the Celts' as a great introductory book) as its not really taught all that much as part of the the UK's education curriculum, which is a real shame because Celtic history is one of the most interesting and rich periods of our, and many other European countries heritages. Indeed, this is one of the things many people don't realise about the Celts - they came from all over Europe, not just Britain, and certainly not just Ireland and Scotland! The Celts were around for several centuries before the Roman conquest of Europe and Britain and their heyday was in the Early Middle Ages, but after that they fall into decline due to other competing cultures so that by the time of the Norman conquest of Britain in 1066, most of Europe and Britain is no longer Celtic. Their last bastions remained in Ireland and some parts of Scotland, which is what has survived best to today and accounts for why 'Celtic' is often associated strongly with both, but even these changed a lot due to Christianity and other modernisations of the time. There's some Celtic history 101 for ya.
So after all that you didn't say what the word "Celtic" means. xD haha I was curious. :c Sure I could find out myself on the web... but since you mentioned it, would be cool if u said it. hah.
Greetings sir, yes I know I answer very late but first I would say thanks for that you wrote here. Not really for me but more for those who don't know about Celtic history. And secondly I want just to add a thing about that, yes you mentionned the Celtic history is not only about UK and you totally right, I'm really a modern celtic from "Bretagne" a piece of France, a region who is really full of celtic legends like the Brocéliande Forest (about the King Arthur for example) and his own language who is the "Breton" (Breizhoneg in that language) who has the same age than the Latin. Well it's just to say that and sorry for my English ^^ Kenavo ;) (Good bye)
Thank you for giving us all a history lesson on the Celtic culture and its rich historical time period. I myself am inspired by every culture on this planet and am willing to learn more of the historical beauties imbedded inside each country. I certainly agree with you when stating that "many people don't realize that Celts came from all over Europe, not just Britain and certainly not just Ireland and Scotland". In fact many documentaries indicate that the Vikings came from Norway and other Scandinavian countries, and later made their way to Greenland and Siberia. I find this being very neat since, some historians hold true that the bone structure and way of life of the Vikings are similar to those of Scandinavian countries. Hope to learn more from you in the future to come and the many books you read in UK. Please continue to share your knowledge with the world. Thank you, Paula.
Some tracks feel like fighting giants at the gates of an ice fortress, others feel like climbing the Everest, others like being a sheriff patrolling at dawn or an archaeologist discovering an ancient temple in the forest... This is really a journey across all ages and lands
Some of the most beautiful (and epic) music I have ever heard. I don't see how anyone could dislike it. This is an amazing collection of music. Thank you for uploading. I also see in the comment section that some viewers were actually composers to some pieces. To them I say they did a wonderful job.
With the Queen, Boudica whose torque will someday be found and call all to arms once again, in the company of Arturo and the Knights. Yeah....I shoulda been a bard.✌💙😸
Being part Scottish, I get a strange sensation whenever I listen to this kind of music. Almost as if I hear the voices of my Scottish ancestors calling out to me. Great mix BTW
I get that same feeling, its like something in the heart cries out for it, like you can breath easier or the relief of a sore muscle you didn't even know was sore till now.
Chad Boerth Me too. It’s great when they remind me in a strong Gaelic accent that “Yu leff da oven on!” Or “don faerget yu got a dactar’s appoentmant tooday!” These voices are great!
This music does remind me of my ancestors as you have mentioned . As for myself, I am Romanian, however this Celtic music does relate somehow to my ancestors that were said to have been Traci and Dacian, as I am born in Transylvania. I wish I could understand every culture and learn each of its countries traditions. This would probably broaden my horizons and help me understand the rich history of each country especially of all the Scandinavian countries. Would love to hear more of the rich history of Scotland! Wish I was Scottish so I can understand Scottish students in Toronto. Hope you can help me. Looking forward to some historical support. Thanks, Paula.
Remember now we the dance we dance anew, for many lives like dreams we have, through ages old and new, come dance with me and take my hand, as to heaven returns to an ancient land. Eternity in a grain of sand.
You know how awesome it is to have both Irish and Scottish in your blood, screaming out for the forests and the hills? I do, and I tell you truly It is AMAZING Kinda like this music mix :)
Amber Ferguson i find my Irish blood that craves for the forest makes me quite sad. The world seems to force us into a concrete cage. Very sad. But yes this music is amazing.
My family were Irish immigrants during the early years of America near two hundred years ago I have always had a love for Celtic music. Guess the blood runs deep
+H.O.L.A.F I I'm writing an RP with a friend, I'm a dragon of a thousand years old, my friends plays a man came to request my help. Thing is, humans burned few of my species back in the old ages, I don't know if I'm going to help him hehe

Listening to this while writing my medieval fantasy novel! The music really helps with capturing the Scottish feels. Also, Adrian von Ziegler is AMAZING!
This music is indeed epic. I played it during some special activities with my toddler which kind of set the mood. Think I might try it while playing Skyrim.
I'm half Irish so whenever I listen to this kind of music I get a weird tingle in my skin... it makes me want to storm off into the forest to slay some orcs.
Honestly, I prefer this music over the type of music that we developed, as of today. Mostly because of it's, "uniqueness" i guess you could say, and how beautiful it sounds. I mostly enjoy orchestrated music, and especially Irish Celtic music. It just has that feel to it like you're gonna do something epic xD and that helps when playing a really competitive game, like an fps game. I may be bias about this music being better because I'm part Irish, but I love Japanese music as well, and so much more xD
I love Irish music and its mystical tone and rhythm. I think it must be great to be Irish and have such beautiful music to listen to and most importantly for others to listen as well. Someone like myself who is not Irish however, I am slowly learning about the Irish culture. Love to hear more from you on the Irish culture and its rich history. Thanks, Paula
A fantasy video game with Adrian von Ziegler's music would be amazing. Just saying. Also, thank you, Mr. Ziegler, for inspiring me to write my novels! Three of them are now published!
Also if anyone is wondering about the symbol, it is a Celtic Witches Knot which is a common symbol and/or pendant in folk magic. The witch’s knot is a symbolic representation of the knot magic practiced by witches in the middle ages, and even represented female might and power. It's really interesting so do some research if your curious hehe

We get along in this world not trying to be someone else and trying to be them, but... only offering a hand up and never apologizing for who we are. We are all different. God made it that way for a reason.
Even after millennia, my heritage endures in historical records to Scottish ADN ancestry. I hold a deep affection for the music, landscapes, and traditions of Scotland. Moreover I treasure my great-grandfather's bagpipe, a tangible link to our familial past in the North-east of Portugal, nestled amidst the mountains and rivers of North Atlantic lands, were we encounter a parallel world, where time-honored customs linger, echoing those of Celtics roots. Time didn't take it away, it only turned it into something better!
