@adrianlock687, I’m 56 years old and changed careers a few times since I was a truck driver for the 10 years between the age of 21 to 31. I hope I live to the age of 82 at least. I do envy you driving in a time when comradeship was the normal. I was a truck driver for 10 years from the age of 21 to 31. Then I got a job at Manchester Airport as an aircraft refueller for Shell from the age of 31 to 39. Whilst working for Shell, I trained part time to gain my Commercial Pilots License. In 2007 at the age of 39, I got my first job as a pilot for Thomson Airways flying 737s based at Manchester. In 2010, I was made redundant by Thomson Airways and I moved to Qatar in the Middle East as I got a job with Qatar Airways flying Airbus A320s. I’ve been here ever since. The World Cup was amazing. On the door, you need to put a slice in the seal either side of the door, water then runs down the side rather than at the bottom onto your shoes👍🏼

Hi Martyn, I drive a P410 Scania 8 wheeler tipper and recently did my class 1 in a Volvo FM so I totally sympathise with your mirror confusion 😅😅 both trucks are a lovely drive though I would happily give up the clutch and gearstick to save my left knee from aching😢, have a good week
In the States it feels far crossing state to state, i can't imagine in Europe driving where you cross entire countries that are next to each other.....

Evening jenko, watched you past few years now, and can tell in your voice when happy and unhappy and happy jenko is back, cracking video, not expecting salary but as you’ve moved before for more money does the European work also pay more , so all the keyboard warriors who go why he moved again, I’m assuming your better off each time too and actually your enjoying driving again, is it also a case of following sat nav and can’t go wrong to drive over in Europe, the roads looks quieter ?

It's so much more relaxing driving in Europe buddy, don't get me wrong there are some tight places you can go too but just take your time and it will be all good. Go for it fellla 👍

Totally agree about the roads. used to drive to Ostend a few times pre-Covid and went down to Provence a few years ago, plus several booze cruises. Cracking video though, so glad that you are enjoying your new job.👍

Hi Martyn, glad you made it into Germany safe and sound. Talking about travel news, the French are very good by giving the radio frequency on the motorways. I just wish we did the same thing here in the UK.

I've never done this type of work my view is getting paid for traveling to different countries and doing what you enjoy can't be bad 👍

On my scania turning audible warnings I've turned volvo right down on them and put some tape over the sound holes on the top, I can still hear it but it's muffled down a lot. 😊

Always thought whoever signed off the idea /design for loading on to the train carriages had no clue ,would have been a lot easier to go straight in thru the rear of the carriage and just drive straight ,especially when the european wagons normally have large capacity fuel tanks on the units and pallet boxes on the trailers which are quite often battle scarred let alone the wheels and tyres that get wrecked.....
