I appreciate your comment and thank you for subscribing! You know what I just realised I have a pair of combat sport belly pad that I never reviewed! Theyre economical and quality. I'll try to film sometjing in the coming week or two. Sorry with work and such my videos have taken a back seat. But I'll get on it! Cheers 🙌
Hey man, thanks for the review. I am thinking about getting the KPLC5's and I was wondering if you notice the thickness when compared to the KPLC2's when holding kicks? From what I can find online, the KPLC5's are not as thick as the KPLC2 by an inch or so and was wondering when holding if you feel the harder kicks. Cheers mate
Thickness visually between my two sets looks the same however the KPLC2's do feel tighter since they are made from leather. However in terms of comfort for kicking and absorbing strikes, the KPLC5 are superior in my opinion. The little padded area for your forearm really helps. I got my pair off amazon. I can't make any claims for longevity for the KPLC5's yet since they have only been with me for a year. But they still look great. The KPLC2's are leather so their durability is well known. Either eay you can't go wrong with fairtex but overll I'd go with the new KPLC5's, newer, lighter, better support, more comfortable. I hope that helps!
@@andytieu604 That's great man, thank you! It's good to get an honest opinion on them as most websites only recommend the KPLC2's, let alone review them. The general consensus is that Fairtex pads are the way to go, so I reckon I'll give them a shot. Appreciate the response. All the best!
How are they holding up now when you’ve had em for a while, are they durable? Is it still your favorite choice for a thai pad or would you recommend another brand?
Great video.. I have a question: is the Kplc5 good for absorbing kicks from heavy weights or light heavy weights?.. Do you feel the energy through the pads when holding or does it get absorbed and dispersed in/on the pads? Thanks.
Hey Thanks! And I havent held these for hevay weights but 205 yes and they felt great absord it nicely and on top of that they are much more comfortable to kick aswell
The kplc5's are holdig uo great! I'm selling my kplc2's since I won't be needing them anymore. Thats howm uch I trust in the durability and quality of the kplc5's! Very comfortable to be the holder and the one striking it
Hey, is there a limit to how small the wrist and arm straps go on the KPLC5? I'm thinking about purchasing them, but some Thai Pads i've used have a limit to how much you can tighten the straps, and those usually don't work for me.
A limit.. well yes it can't tighten itself around a chopstick 😂 but my friend who is 130lbs female can wear them just fine. I would say the little hump where your forearms go helps with making it snug. If possibme try a pair on first But to be honest I think you will be fine
They are holding up great! Some scratches here and there but still feels as dense as they were new. Fairtex is a solid company I recently bought their thigh pads. Cant wait to test/review those!
I absolutely hate the KPLC2. Way too buy and heavy. I hate both holding and hitting them. And since Twins is so damn hard to find right now, I think im gonna pick up the KPLC5 or KPLC6
I don't have any experience using them so I can't comment. But juding by the quality of my fairtex thai pads, I can only assume they would be solid aswell.
@@rauliuxaa The KPLC2 (older model is genuine leather so it feels harder when kicking and provides better snap when punching) but the KPLC5 (newer model black/gold) is made from a microfiber material which has been told to also be durable. I noticed when kicking the newer pads theh are extremely comfortable. I wouldn't say "soft" as in not well padded. Both are very nice and densely padded. But the newer pads are definitely more comfortable to kick and hold.
Hi mate, it’s been a while since you made this video, I was wondering how are those microfibres materials holding up from the kplc5s? Are there any noticeable wears? (idk how to describe but I’m assuming that the material is like some kind of memory foam? And are there any change in density and structural integrity in the padding as well as the forearm lump? Please let me know thank you!
Hey man! To be honest I still have not noticed any damage to these. Thought I must say I haven't tluched them in the last 2 months because of this lockdown. But anyways you should look up a muay yhai trainer on instagram named "Trainer Gae" he from what I see uses these and pushes them to its linits and they are still going strong. They looked damages but leather ones would look the same. The padding seems the same in both. Only difference is the leather kplc2 feels stiffer because of the stretched leather where as the kplc5 are more comfortable to kick. The material fornthe kplc5 feels almost like... synthetic leather in a car seat... not sure how else I can describe it. But its very comfortable to kick with. I'd say give them a crack they will easily last you years. Personally I think the kplc2 are more durable because of the leather but I do notice it has deep scratches from toenails off kicks but the kplc2 has nothing. But it is 2 to 3 year newer. I hope that helps. With that said if I can only have 1 pair I am picking the kplc5. Sure the durability may be uncertain but its very comfortable to hold and hit/kick and absorbs power shots very nicely. I hope that helps! If you have any more questions do not hesitate to ask!
Andy Tieu 604 also man I’ve been off practicing for month now, but I would like to know how does it feel for the kicker? Do you think the material would also provide some decent shin conditioning (of course not to the extent that harder leather kick pads would provide such as twins special pads or the kplc2) but you know something that’s not too soft or padded for someone that’s wanting to improve??
Thanks for this Video Man. 3 years later and it's still coming in clutch!
My pleasure! I'm happy you find it useful! 😁
Great review dude, keep up the great work! 😎👊
Thank you! 🙂

I've still got bruised forearms holding the kplc2, love the kplc5 though.
Fairtex makes the best Thai pads in my opinion

the white kplc2 are not made w leather. it is a synthetic. they make a more expensive leather one in black

kpcl 2 is durable ?
Very much so
