Ok... how cold is it
It's pretty cool, I will give it an 8 out of 10 BUT..........It stays cool for as long as it runs, immediately after you power everything off, it's back to burning up. If somehow it could run consistently or at least 7 hours, I will give it a 10. If you don't mind having a generator outside the truck that can handle a portable ac, that would be great!

I use a similar setup but with a gas generator ( Honda eu2200). It’s small enough to where I just slide it in the passenger side box when I’m driving. It lasts u 8-10 hrs for Ac.
In the winter I use iron a 700w small heater and also as block heater on my engine. No cold start 😜

Hey there Miss LeeLee very smart move you made there I use the same unit in my Unitbilt sleeper while going down the road and when I'm sleeping don't even use the Unit on the truck those units blow very cold.
The inverter in my truck is made for a RV it's runs the Microwave - Refrigerator - TV - and the Air-condition it's 12000 Watt's of continuous power . Price was $4678.00 dollars probably more expensive now bought it 16 years ago and still working.

Eco flow powerkit with two 5kw batteries would give you 10 hours. Or get 7 agms and one ultra- capacitor get them installed to charge while driving, then connect inverter charger to power the portable AC.

Hey Howard, it works up front, not in the back but I don't want to idle the truck. I would like an alternative. I do need to get the cab ac fixed though
In the back of the truck , if the blower fans come on but the air is hot , it's the expansion valve on the a/c lines in the back , if nothing comes on it most likely a relay or fuse

Hey Lee Lee couldn’t you charge the box thru the truck 12v port while it’s running the ac unit or just get a big inverter to run the ac?
man, I put a small generator on my cat walk, it last for over 12 hrs. Get a small one from tractor supply the yellow one,it has a nice cover also and have a shop bolt it down.

I have a small inverter generator I got from Harbor freight that I use on my semi truck. I have it mounted outside and ran a extension cord thru my cabin.. I get 8-10 hrs out of it on a full tank. I’m still trying to find a better way to run my vent tube it instead of using the window.. It gets real cold sometimes I shut the Ac off after it’s cool.
Which AC do you have?

Love your videos LeeLee...For the same amount of money...you should have looked at the zero breeze portable AC...it runs on batteries. I use one on my truck because I also hate to idle... It runs 8 to 10 hours on 2 batteries. Check it out. Blessings to you.

Hey, nothing with the one in the front, not sure about the back because that one doesn't work at all. I don't want to idle though, need a solution but I see two comments that would change that
With the APU unit you don't have to idle but they are expensive or you know they do have those small generators that run really quite and they don't take up much room but remember if you ever put a generator on your truck make sure the exhaust doesn't get in your cab there was a man that passed away from that but if I can help let me know I don't live to far from Memphis I'm down around Senatobia ms
