    What an incredible tutorial. A broad high-level explanation of a workflow is great for anyone who is totally new and doesn’t know where to start.

    Great to see you take my marker idea and run with it! Here's another one on my wishlist: Add the ability to auto-generate anticipation and overshoot at the beginning and end of an animation.

      Thanks a bunch for all your feedback, Michael! It means a lot to me. Adding "auto-generate anticipation and overshoot" to my to-do list right away. 😊

    Never a video from you that I don't learn something from, and this is no exception (also, I rarely comment on UA-cam videos!). Brilliant insight and it gives me the confidence to start trying some coding for AE, thank you.

    Great man, Love it. What tools do you use to create extensions for After Effects Like Motion Pro ?

    • @ukramedia
      @ukramedia  7 місяців тому +1

      You can still make extensions using VSCode. Extensions (CEP Panels) are a bit more advanced. With extensions, you can create web-based interfaces right in the extension panel, using common web tools like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

    • @ukramedia
      @ukramedia  7 місяців тому +1

      Hey, thanks for your kind words! I've dabbled a bit with AE extensions, not a ton though. I'm all about opting for things that involve less effort, which is why scripting is my go-to. 🙂

    Amazing video! Thank you so much, Sergei.
    I am using your Smart Rekt and it's so good. I have made a pseudo effect once by manually coding. But it was fun.
    It would be splendid if you could create a series of videos on how to make an AE tool. Perhaps one video per node on the graph you shared.

    Super helpful, I've been getting into scriptmaking lately (thanks to Chat GPT since I can't code at all on my own) and this is a great way to help develop that process

    • @ukramedia
      @ukramedia  7 місяців тому +1

      Scripting is so much fun, seriously! The more you do it, the more it starts to click. And let's talk about AI - it's amazing! Wish I had it back when I was just starting out.

      @@ukramedia Using a mixture of GPT and Claude 3 I was to put together a script UI panel tool in After Effects. I was able to draw from some code I found in a UA-cam video and then I added to and repurposed it. I don't write code either but I can make rough sense of it, as in understand where functions are, how to replace them, etc. Claude was able to figure something out that GPT got stuck with but then Claude got stuck as well. I nonetheless finished it to my satisfaction and it's a legitimately useful tool. I'm pretty stoked.
      Even though there are definitely walls you will hit and it's not perfect by any stretch, the fact that we can communicate these things in natural language and get usable code back is insane. It's really some Star Trek universal translator stuff. I still feel like a lot of people don't realize how big of a deal that is.
      Also, wanted to thank you for your content. Script UI: scriptui.joonas.me/ looks legit. That would have been so helpful with what I was just working on.

    Hello, Sergei.
    This is a really exciting video.
    I think you should create a paid course where you cover this topic in depth.

    I'm having a really hard time using images on my tools. Since I use a 4K monitor and use 150% scale on the Windows interface, every icon I insert in the layout appears 50% bigger. That would be ok if the resolution was kept, but, in the joonas editor, the icons appear antialiased, but when I execute the script inside After Effects, they are all pixelated and horrible. Is there a way to fix this? I'm using them in .png format, tried to use .svg but it didn't work.
