You definitely can't rely exclusively on sound cues to do what she is doing. He also didn't say that it's impossible to beat a hunt blindfolded, in fact, iirc he showcased someone who actually has done them blindfolded. I really don't understand what point you're trying to make here. If you're not defending the streamer, than why argue that it's possible to beat the game with sound cues alone?

The actually biggest tell is in her 2nd blindfold run, at the end after she defeats the monster and after she takes off the blindfold (her screens are also covered with paper), she looks to her right then does a massive camera sweep to re-adjust the camera so that it's perfectly looking at the front of her character, like a posed celebration shot. From this it's very clear that there was a 3rd monitor she was looking at through a fake blindfold the whole time. Oh yeh, and when she pulls up the paper from her screen you can briefly see it doesn't show exactly what the screen that the viewers see. She panics slightly makes a few clicks then the screen changes to what the audience sees.
I thought that the screen was wrong as well when she removed the paper, but it's actually just because she had hit the windows start button, which shows the windows start menu, which would not be captured by her stream if she's using game capture. For me, it seems more likely that if she did cheat, it would just be a see-through blindfold, with a monitor off camera.
All the people saying "muscle memory" to her readjusting the vertical axis, Karl made a point that it doesn't always happen, it's random when the camera moves up and she only moves it down when it happens so there goes your muscle memory argument.

You guys are all missing an important feature in MHW. Theres a game setting to change the camera mode to target camera. With a single button press the camera will auto focus on the monster. I agree with everything Karl said apart from the camera issue. L1 on controller will immediately have my camera face the monster, R3 does the lock on, not sure what the pc version is. I never lock on and no matter where my camera might be facing (up, down, away from the monster) the minute i hit L1 it goes in to focus on the monster. So the vertical camera thing Karl said was sus, was exactly the focus.

I was truly disappointed in Asmon in the initial video of discovering this, i don't even play monster hunter world like that and i can just use common sense to tell that it was faked. Also shame on everyone else who believed this was real.

Asmon keeps talking about his "thing with the lines" he did the previous time as if that's a good metaphor for how it looks. A see-through blindfold like that would barely obscure your vision. A more accurate metaphor would be like playing the game with sunglasses on; it's a little dimmer but you can see just fine.

That would require a lot of time spent to set it up though, which would miss the point of trying to grift off big names and hype for a game while it's relevant. If you're going through the effort of mocking a training arc, you might as well just do it legit. Not to mention faking a whole training arc is going to end up putting out more evidence people can analyze for cheating.

@@bl4ckout36 most people talk about their "expertise" when they have a lot of experience in something, Asmon got a lot of experience in WoW, but that doesn't make it "possible" for him to just blindfold a fight. Look at Super Mario 64 for example, runners have gone through so many steps to create concistent setups, regardless if you can see or not, like get in a corner, punch 1, hold right for x amount of seconds. I for example for over 11k hours in FF14, no way in hell can I do a dungeon or a boss blindfolded, I might bullshit my way through it, of course, but the chances of me getting through it alive is extremely unlikely. (I could unsync it and I can't die anymore, but that defeats the purpose, that's just "hold any direction till you think your stuck and hold another 1 and pray you get through it"

I don't think this'd show any legitimacy at least not as much as you believe because it's simple to cheat. If you can put the screen away, it also means you can put it off camera.

On second blindfolded run on screen was paper, but she had some space to look down and maybe there was another monitor... I think she was smiling at 90% time, because she would like to looks good in front of ppl. Hard to say where's the truth.
Real blindfolded players normally don't. Its common for them to have their chair turned so they face away from the screen with the camera showing that they aren't facing a 2nd screen or something. People actually putting in the time to learn to do this don't want to have it invalidated by giving people any reason to be skeptical.
you can also just put something in front of your face, like cardboard or a stand or literally anything. if you were facing it at the same angle, it would be far harder to cheat that way. people obstruct their vision with physical objects when streaming, it’s not terribly uncommon
I just saw a little detail that may be important (or not, I really don't know). In the first blindfolded run, she has the head kinda tilted down. In the second, where the screen is covered with a paper, her head is tilted up. If you put the two videos side by side you can actually see the difference. That could mean that in the first she was looking at her normal screen and in the second she was looking to a screen put on top of the normal one that does not appear in the "proof" cam.
Karl failed to reiterate and highlight for the lowest common denominator that the camera movement after opening menu doesn't always happen, and the "amount" it happens is random, there is absolutely no way for her to know IF it happened and how much, unless she can see it. Or she's Neo and can see the source code without using eyes.

Ngl the camera readjustments gave it away for me. Having seen how Speedrunners do certain strats made me aware how hard it is to play with the camera in an awkward angle. That means people subconsciously adjust it all the time... As long as they can see.

Years ago, I made a claim that I could beat(1st place) my friends in a half-life deathmatch blindfolded. What ended up happening was, I looked every time I respawned for a few seconds. And 2-3 minutes into the game, I realized it was straight-up impossible to do so. So, I went with something like 2 seconds closed eyes, 1 second opened eyes. After all, once I saw someone on the screen, I could flick land the shot. My final score was likely half of what I would have gotten normally. That day, I understood that it did not matter how much I had played the game, blindfolded was a completely different game. Even with 30% uptime, I could not touch my normal performance. I immediately thought it was very telling, not using auto-focus. Even if your attacks need to land at the head, should use it to get close and orient yourself. You can detach and attack diagonally (on some sort of sound cue) to hit your target. Blindfolded runs are very methodical and mechanical.

However, when you try to go viral, and it starts to affect millions of people, it becomes a different case. The main problem I have with "blindfold runs" like this is that it seems to be the wrong kind of game in which it's possible. For a blindfold run to work, you need to know where you're going, how many steps it takes, how much time it takes, when to turn, how much to turn, etc ... There also needs to be some kind of static or known element to each section. There is no way in hell that a section as random as this can be completed blindfolded. I'm waiting for Karl's video to drop. My theory is a simple one. The second run was pre-recorded.
Well, to be honest, even if it could be done, it would need to be practiced probably at least 10,000 times. You don't just one day decide to do it blindfolded and BAM! that was easy.
@@elasmojones Theoretically, you could do it quite quickly in some games, where levels are a known quantity. You'd just have to memorise moves and time taken or steps taken. If you know a level off by heart then you just go through it, counting everything and then memorising it. It obviously helps if you have a good memory but, yes, practicing the level blindfolded and then working out where you're going wrong would build up that memory and the muscle memory to go with it. It's like trying to practice a heavy metal solo on a guitar. Just cut it up into chunks and learn each chunk before putting it all together.
To all the chatters being like: "well it could all be muscle memory" and "she's just using sound cues": go into a game you play often or know quite well and try doing literally anything with your eyes closed. It is so much harder than people think.
I don't think she's legit, but doing something so isolated 4,000 times does give you an almost supersensory connection with it, archers can consistently hit 10s looking away from the range

Moving the camera vertically while using the menu is an accident that only happens sometimes. It doesn't happen every time and it doesn't offset by a consistent amount.

You can simply tell its fake by the camera movements, there is no way a blindfolded person has such insanely precise camera movement to be able to basically echolocate the boss and be able to twist your camera in such a way you can hit its head specifically. There is just no way, like looking at that alone already makes it shady outside of us being able to see through the blindfold when she took it off xD
That's... pretty much a standard skill set for anyone who mains hammer in Monster Hunter. It's more common than not that you have to set up a charge attack anticipating where the head is going to be without having full vision on the monster.

But yeah, if there had been scenes of angling attacks off the centre of camera I'd be more inclined to believe (the runs are still rubbish, though) but constantly having the camera being perfectly centered on the monster every time speaks more to looking through a vaguely see-through material and needing the visual clarity. If someone's hearing and/or headphones are good enough, paired with the aural spacial perception needed to know precise distance and angle, surely you'd be able to piece that information together without it being directly in front of you 100% of the time, right? I merely pointed out the fact that the claims being thrown out about how it's "impossible" to do such a thing in MH are just as non-sensical as the opposing claims that it 100% happened. Personally haven't played Hammer or Greatsword for generations. (Think the last time I did seriously was 3U? Maybe 4G.) But I regularly hit monster heads when I did "blind" (not having a visual on the monster when the attack was started). And I'm pretty decent at doing it now with Hunting Horn. Never did quite perfect the double-tap from an encore though. And I am by no means a "pro" player.

I got around 200 hours on mh world and even tried to fight a monster blind. And yup like alot of people suspected, it's more difficult then u can imagine. I've been gaming since I was 7 Btw. People just need to try it themselves to see how difficult it is. The fact that she could do the things she did is definitely impossible with just a few attempts. I don't think it's even possible to have her precision and accuracy in terms of camera, movement and attacks to the head even if you're an expert with countless hours. Even expert speed runners agree with, thats why they use lock on. Half the time I couldn't even tell if monster was to the right or left, let alone be able to pinpoint it's head accurately. Especially when the monster is always on the move. Mh world has probably the best Ai for monsters and no way u can do half the things she did blind. She didn't even use lock on. People don't understand that digital sound doesn't work the same way as real life. Digital sounds are programmed and designed by people. They don't emulate real life at all. Game creators don't program their sounds to emulate real life because there's no need to. It would just be a waste of resources. Therefore they are less precise, even if u got expensive head phones
Asmon thinks he is difficult to fool cause he has an ego. He is practically a baby when it come to blindfolded runs. It is as easy to fool him as it is the majority of his viewers. The first run was so blatantly fake for anyone who has any experience in blindfolded run whether it is playing or watching.

Was never rocket science, all of those defending her just don't pay attention to details. 2nd run was a more intricate fake, so it's more understandable that people would be fooled, but with the context of the plainly fake first run, everyone should have been skeptical and considering "How could she have faked this despite it seeming legit?" But there's the problem with simps... they rarely have enough blood going to the right head to critically think.
Conclusively showing that the first run was faked is sufficient, since she maintained that her first run was legit and the second one was just to further solidify it. The idea that she faked the first run but not the second run is ridiculous. They were such a short time apart, and she never said 'sorry guys, I cheated on the first one, but then I trained day and night and now I can do it legit'. If I told you I was a bowler who bowled 10 perfect games while blindfolded, you wouldn't need to watch the recordings of all 10 games and disprove every single one to determine if I was lying; disproving one would be enough.
For someone who actually killed Alatreon 4000 times in a speedrun setting, not just casual hunts, and who got 2'30 Alatreon kill previous WR, yeah her run is fake af. No lock on, precise camera movement, daredevil sound queue recognition, prohetic attack anticipation, and fake blindfold. You know what she should've done? Face a brick wall and play it that way. You are playing it blind so it doesn't even matter where you look.

She literally sewed something into the original blindfold to prove light couldn't shine through even though we've seen undeniable footage of it happening, and people are still giving her the benefit of the doubt.
Yeah sure that's really weird but that doesn't necessarily prove it was all fake. I 100% agree that she was wearing a see-through mask for her first run, but the second run in her response video had a hand cam + real blindfold + covered screen. While you can't even play devil's advocate for a single minute in 48h?! Cap your mouse vertical movement, let's say 20° up, 20° down. Play like that for a while until you get a good feel for how much it takes, in travel time, to go from top to bottom. Let's say, you move your mouse 4cm from the bottom, you reach the top. At ANY point, you can then move you mouse up or down by MORE than 4cm and you know for a fact that you're either looking up at 20° or down at 20°. You also know that 4cm will bring you to the bottom/top and if you divide it by 2, you're roughly centered. As somebody who's played more than thirty thousand hours of monster hunter... That habit of hers is something everybody does. Because we're constantly readjusting to look up at the boss. 😅 Only way you would know to look up directly at its head and preparation for a specific attack is if you could see where it was. If anyone tries to do anything "bindfoled" video game related, they're already cheating. You don't need a blind fold, turn your monitor around, and have someone else watch what your doing, and have the camera setup showing you're not facing the screen. Or just turn around in your chair. The fact that they want the screen right in front of them during the "trick" is the trick.
One thing you'd also do if you intended to prove it is pick up a camera and show your surroundings. Ofc it turned out she was using a third monitor off-screen to the right while looking out the bottom of the blindfold.
there is two huge major issues at the end of her next blindfold run... she moves camera while looking at third screen while blind fold is off. then lifts paper to see a different game up. lowers paper, clicks to same game as the stream then relifts paper up. you can see the background change when she does.

Muscle memory only applies to moving the camera if you can see that it's out of place. Sound doesn't play a role in her case either, your muscle memory works when you can see the result of what you're physically influencing like with your thumb on the joystick. What made the attempt with the new blindfold obviously fake already was, that she showed ‘the other blindfold‘ and it obviously was not the same one. The first one was so extremly see through you could tell exactly where her hair was under the blindfold on her skin, because it made a noticeable difference in color. You could even see some of the white of her eyes. It was even worse when she out it on and you could see the color off her fingers nearly 100% through it, because she stretched it slightly. And that blindfold can block out a powerfull torchlight a few days later?

The actually biggest tell is in her 2nd blindfold run, at the end after she defeats the monster and after she takes off the blindfold (her screens are also covered with paper), she looks to her right then does a massive camera sweep to re-adjust the camera so that it's perfectly looking at the front of her character, like a posed celebration shot. From this it's very clear that there was a 3rd monitor she was looking at through a fake blindfold the whole time.
Oh yeh, and when she pulls up the paper from her screen you can briefly see it doesn't show exactly what the screen that the viewers see. She panics slightly makes a few clicks then the screen changes to what the audience sees.
Yeah, I noticed, there's some stuff over her screen that we don't see, and she lowers the paper again, before she clicks it away.

I thought that the screen was wrong as well when she removed the paper, but it's actually just because she had hit the windows start button, which shows the windows start menu, which would not be captured by her stream if she's using game capture. For me, it seems more likely that if she did cheat, it would just be a see-through blindfold, with a monitor off camera.

You guys are all missing an important feature in MHW. Theres a game setting to change the camera mode to target camera. With a single button press the camera will auto focus on the monster. I agree with everything Karl said apart from the camera issue. L1 on controller will immediately have my camera face the monster, R3 does the lock on, not sure what the pc version is. I never lock on and no matter where my camera might be facing (up, down, away from the monster) the minute i hit L1 it goes in to focus on the monster. So the vertical camera thing Karl said was sus, was exactly the focus.

Look at Super Mario 64 for example, runners have gone through so many steps to create concistent setups, regardless if you can see or not, like get in a corner, punch 1, hold right for x amount of seconds.
I for example for over 11k hours in FF14, no way in hell can I do a dungeon or a boss blindfolded, I might bullshit my way through it, of course, but the chances of me getting through it alive is extremely unlikely. (I could unsync it and I can't die anymore, but that defeats the purpose, that's just "hold any direction till you think your stuck and hold another 1 and pray you get through it"

Real blindfolded players normally don't. Its common for them to have their chair turned so they face away from the screen with the camera showing that they aren't facing a 2nd screen or something. People actually putting in the time to learn to do this don't want to have it invalidated by giving people any reason to be skeptical.
you can also just put something in front of your face, like cardboard or a stand or literally anything. if you were facing it at the same angle, it would be far harder to cheat that way. people obstruct their vision with physical objects when streaming, it’s not terribly uncommon
I just saw a little detail that may be important (or not, I really don't know). In the first blindfolded run, she has the head kinda tilted down. In the second, where the screen is covered with a paper, her head is tilted up. If you put the two videos side by side you can actually see the difference. That could mean that in the first she was looking at her normal screen and in the second she was looking to a screen put on top of the normal one that does not appear in the "proof" cam.
Could just have the monitors off while the run was going on, there's no need for a paper in the first place

Years ago, I made a claim that I could beat(1st place) my friends in a half-life deathmatch blindfolded. What ended up happening was, I looked every time I respawned for a few seconds. And 2-3 minutes into the game, I realized it was straight-up impossible to do so. So, I went with something like 2 seconds closed eyes, 1 second opened eyes. After all, once I saw someone on the screen, I could flick land the shot. My final score was likely half of what I would have gotten normally. That day, I understood that it did not matter how much I had played the game, blindfolded was a completely different game. Even with 30% uptime, I could not touch my normal performance.
I immediately thought it was very telling, not using auto-focus. Even if your attacks need to land at the head, should use it to get close and orient yourself. You can detach and attack diagonally (on some sort of sound cue) to hit your target. Blindfolded runs are very methodical and mechanical.
Luckily you are not a popular streamer or else I would be bored to death listening to you talk and then I would not be alive anymore.

Loved your reaction to what Karl called you. 😂 Fair play to you for doing this. Some would have just doubled down. The main problem I have with "blindfold runs" like this is that it seems to be the wrong kind of game in which it's possible. For a blindfold run to work, you need to know where you're going, how many steps it takes, how much time it takes, when to turn, how much to turn, etc ... There also needs to be some kind of static or known element to each section. There is no way in hell that a section as random as this can be completed blindfolded.

Well, to be honest, even if it could be done, it would need to be practiced probably at least 10,000 times. You don't just one day decide to do it blindfolded and BAM! that was easy.
@@elasmojones Theoretically, you could do it quite quickly in some games, where levels are a known quantity. You'd just have to memorise moves and time taken or steps taken. If you know a level off by heart then you just go through it, counting everything and then memorising it. It obviously helps if you have a good memory but, yes, practicing the level blindfolded and then working out where you're going wrong would build up that memory and the muscle memory to go with it. It's like trying to practice a heavy metal solo on a guitar. Just cut it up into chunks and learn each chunk before putting it all together.
I'd agree with with that theoretically...would like to see some of the practice tho. Most people would give up when they realize how hard it would be.

But yeah "muscle memory" to explain centering the camera doesn't make sense. Moving the camera vertically while using the menu is an accident that only happens sometimes. It doesn't happen every time and it doesn't offset by a consistent amount.

Its been stated multiple times that she practiced doing blind hunts before attempting it on stream.
You can simply tell its fake by the camera movements, there is no way a blindfolded person has such insanely precise camera movement to be able to basically echolocate the boss and be able to twist your camera in such a way you can hit its head specifically.
There is just no way, like looking at that alone already makes it shady outside of us being able to see through the blindfold when she took it off xD

It's more common than not that you have to set up a charge attack anticipating where the head is going to be without having full vision on the monster.

Not without actually training to do that shit blindfolded. And fuck that, I like being able to see when I play. I'm not watching either speedrun video, so just going off the clips here. But yeah, if there had been scenes of angling attacks off the centre of camera I'd be more inclined to believe (the runs are still rubbish, though) but constantly having the camera being perfectly centered on the monster every time speaks more to looking through a vaguely see-through material and needing the visual clarity. If someone's hearing and/or headphones are good enough, paired with the aural spacial perception needed to know precise distance and angle, surely you'd be able to piece that information together without it being directly in front of you 100% of the time, right?

I merely pointed out the fact that the claims being thrown out about how it's "impossible" to do such a thing in MH are just as non-sensical as the opposing claims that it 100% happened.
Personally haven't played Hammer or Greatsword for generations. (Think the last time I did seriously was 3U? Maybe 4G.) But I regularly hit monster heads when I did "blind" (not having a visual on the monster when the attack was started). And I'm pretty decent at doing it now with Hunting Horn. Never did quite perfect the double-tap from an encore though.
And I am by no means a "pro" player.

I got around 200 hours on mh world and even tried to fight a monster blind. And yup like alot of people suspected, it's more difficult then u can imagine. I've been gaming since I was 7 Btw. People just need to try it themselves to see how difficult it is. The fact that she could do the things she did is definitely impossible with just a few attempts. I don't think it's even possible to have her precision and accuracy in terms of camera, movement and attacks to the head even if you're an expert with countless hours. Even expert speed runners agree with, thats why they use lock on. Half the time I couldn't even tell if monster was to the right or left, let alone be able to pinpoint it's head accurately. Especially when the monster is always on the move. Mh world has probably the best Ai for monsters and no way u can do half the things she did blind. She didn't even use lock on. People don't understand that digital sound doesn't work the same way as real life. Digital sounds are programmed and designed by people. They don't emulate real life at all. Game creators don't program their sounds to emulate real life because there's no need to. It would just be a waste of resources. Therefore they are less precise, even if u got expensive head phones

Conclusively showing that the first run was faked is sufficient, since she maintained that her first run was legit and the second one was just to further solidify it. The idea that she faked the first run but not the second run is ridiculous. They were such a short time apart, and she never said 'sorry guys, I cheated on the first one, but then I trained day and night and now I can do it legit'. If I told you I was a bowler who bowled 10 perfect games while blindfolded, you wouldn't need to watch the recordings of all 10 games and disprove every single one to determine if I was lying; disproving one would be enough.
For someone who actually killed Alatreon 4000 times in a speedrun setting, not just casual hunts, and who got 2'30 Alatreon kill previous WR, yeah her run is fake af. No lock on, precise camera movement, daredevil sound queue recognition, prohetic attack anticipation, and fake blindfold.

Cap your mouse vertical movement, let's say 20° up, 20° down.
Play like that for a while until you get a good feel for how much it takes, in travel time, to go from top to bottom. Let's say, you move your mouse 4cm from the bottom, you reach the top.
At ANY point, you can then move you mouse up or down by MORE than 4cm and you know for a fact that you're either looking up at 20° or down at 20°.
You also know that 4cm will bring you to the bottom/top and if you divide it by 2, you're roughly centered.
Or maybe it's even simpler than than: notches on the mouse pad and make sure you never do any harsh movement.

As somebody who's played more than thirty thousand hours of monster hunter... That habit of hers is something everybody does. Because we're constantly readjusting to look up at the boss. 😅 Only way you would know to look up directly at its head and preparation for a specific attack is if you could see where it was. If you were blindfolded you'd have no reason to care. Now that could just be a muscle memory tick because again I've done it thousands of times myself because it is something you do. But we never Adjust back which means she was adjusting for the fact that she did it.

there is two huge major issues at the end of her next blindfold run... she moves camera while looking at third screen while blind fold is off. then lifts paper to see a different game up. lowers paper, clicks to same game as the stream then relifts paper up. you can see the background change when she does.

There's no Machiavellian genius at play, its literally just a pre-recorded run or looking at the offscreen monitor that wasn't veiled. The fact that her camera was always perfectly focused on the boss while blindfolded, and without the use of lock-ons, is the single most obvious tell that the run is fake.
I disagree, the most obvious is that she has light in the room.

so many people here pointing out the camera thing and all they're doing is showing that they don't play monster hunter. there's a button that recenters the camera behind you. she's literally just pressing a single button.

@@matohibiki he points it out but he's wrong. she is using it, in the solo run where she has her input visible onscreen, you can see that every time she presses alt the camera auto-centers. i didn't play mhw on PC so if idk if alt is the default key for that function. if it's not then maybe he's just confused, but it's consistent that her camera recenters when she hits alt so she clearly has it bound to that key and is using it.
Not gonna lie, this was easy to see she’s cheating. Flicking up and down because of the messed up camera angle.

I'm not saying you're a dumb guy Asmongold, and I don't think you are. But this was obvious. It was not impressive of her. She did not fake it in a convincing way at all. I did not even need to watch any more of the video after I saw that she was dynamically fighting Alatreon blindfolded. Reacting to him, instead of going through a scripted fight sequence. It should have been obvious to anyone that that is impossible, in my opinion. Even when you put out the second video saying it was real, I left a comment saying anyone who believes it is real is just plain dumb.
She faked it with a transparent blindfold, then decided to double down and fake it with with a “proper” blindfold which people have already pointed out as being a blindfold from a magician set that’s designed to look convincing. You really can’t make this up 😂

i dont understand why doesnt she turn off the screen or turn it 180°. or cover it AND do that. or point powerful flashlights onto her eyes so she couldnt see shit even without a blindfold. Or point the flashlight onto the blindfold while showing it to the camera up close. Jesus there are so many ways to prove people you ain't cheating yet you refuse to use them. makes it obvious. she could also have someone talk to her during the playthroughs through her headset "go left", "go right", "dodge left/right NOW" etc. so many ways to cheat too. my solutions are plain and simple and would work easily

Muscle memory only applies to moving the camera if you can see that it's out of place. The mental gymnastics people are using to defend her is just weird lol if you can't see where the camera is facing, how could you possibly know how much to adjust it for a perfect field of vision? Sound doesn't play a role in her case either, your muscle memory works when you can see the result of what you're physically influencing like with your thumb on the joystick. Your thumb doesn't know what it's doing, your eyes tell your thumb what it needs to do.

Petition to make a ruke for blindfold run to use cardboard to cover their eyes and turn off the monitor, and have minimum 2 Night Vision cameras in front and in the back facing what they facing and turn off the light of the room.
What made the attempt with the new blindfold obviously fake already was, that she showed ‘the other blindfold‘ and it obviously was not the same one.
The first one was so extremly see through you could tell exactly where her hair was under the blindfold on her skin, because it made a noticeable difference in color. You could even see some of the white of her eyes.
It was even worse when she out it on and you could see the color off her fingers nearly 100% through it, because she stretched it slightly.
And that blindfold can block out a powerfull torchlight a few days later?
Just turn the monitor off. No blindfold f'ery.
