    That dude who runs the noodle restaurant, probably misunderstood the way you said 'proud'. Cause 'zihao' has 2 meanings in Chinese, being proud or being cocky, over-confident. And by his accent, he ain't from Beijing. #represent

    An amazing episode. 后海(Houhai) , 南锣鼓巷(Nan Luo Gu Xiang), 三里屯(San Li Tun) , 雍和宫( Lama Temple), 簋街(Guijie) and more that seserve to explore, a true Beijing hardcore destination for food and travel adventure.

    The Zhajiang noodles seem tasty. But Beijingers eat them with garlic cloves rather than yellow ghost pepper, which is from Hainan island in the south. Also, old Beijingers eat a lot of organ meat because it's flavorful and affordable. Try 卤煮火烧or炒肝or炖吊子or爆肚 next time 😉

    Pay 南锣鼓巷 a visit, it is one of my favorite plates in Beijing. If you want to go to the Night Club then Head to 三里屯; you can shop & drink there.if I am not wrong hooter is located not far from 三里屯。

    Small correction at 7:52...Muslim people can smoke if they want. I lived in Dubai for three years and they have shisha bars with different flavored tobaccos. Same in Istanbul.....

    As a local Beijinger, I can tell you we never put spicy paste or sauce in Zhajiangmian. The flavor might be still good by doing that, but That’s not a local way to eat it.

      @@jellofel8138 I am not sure bc he does say much. but when he says 本分/benfen, it sound more like 'bengfen' with strong nasal sound. I don't think people with beijing accent would have problem with pronouncing that sound.

    @FUNG BROS at 2:58, you used the wrong word '骄傲’. it should be '自豪'. sometimes '骄傲' means arrogant in Chinese. that may be the reason he replied '不骄傲' Good video!

      He might mean it got translated from Mongolian, so while it may not sound the same it means the same. That's just how the Chinese written language works, it translates concepts not necessarily sound.
