- So many of you have requested a full version of my rendition of "Don't Know Why" by Norah Jones. Y'all have been so kind, so supportive, and sent so much love since my American Idol audition aired, so this is the least I could do to say THANK YOU! I love you guys.
Shoutout to my girl, Alyssa Ladenburg for filming and editing this video in less than 12 hours! She's a rockstar.
Also, I apologize for the weird audio panning - this is my first time recording audio on my own and I'm still learning how to use the software...BEAR WITH ME, I'M NEW TO THIS 😂😂😂

YES I had the same problem with her audition. It was really nice seeing the judges interacting with her but i really wanted to hear the full song. She's got such a lovely gentle approach, timid almost, i hope she doesn't lose that as she gains confidence.

I know you are 100 percent right. I just feel like she should have been given a contract wayyy before this. her presence on UA-cam has been a while, she‘s semi-pro already. A.I viewers and voters tend to reward pure amatuers who were never heard before and give them a chance to shine. She is very good as a singer/song writer type of vocalist, but not enough POP star quality to win A.I, let alone top 10.

With respect, I think this is how it’s meant to be sung. She enthused on the right words with amazing expression and tone. Nora Jones sang this beautifully but there was the right energy put into the words here. It made me feel like I knew what the song meant. There’s a real feel of regret and despair for mistakes and missed opportunities. I really felt that sadness.

NORA wrote this and sang it the way she wrote it, with a sultry gritty voice you almost can't copy. It wasnt ment to have proper pronation it was ment to sound southern, Nora did country music before she did Jazz.
She has a classic voice that would fit so many genres. Would love to hear her sing Killing Me Softly.

Love it - i was upset when the judges interrupted the audition then I finally found it. But I hope you can do a piano version (this Korg has a great piano sound of course) with a different mic as this mic cannot do your voice justice. Thanks

Why do people feel that it's necessary to go look up the lyrics to songs and post them on them? Do you think people would listen to the song if they couldn't understand English? It's absolutely unnecessary to look up lyrics, which aren't even quite accurate half the time anyway, and post them on videos.

You picked a song that is rarely heard on these talent shows. Everyone always seem to pick songs by Whitney, Beyoncé, Adele, Gaga etc. I am sick of hearing Shallow which is the "It" song at this moment. Just remember to pick a memorable song that hasn't been covered by everyone and their dog. I am also a songwriter/singer, different style from yours.
