@@ArtisOpus I normally use another method, but it only works for all-around rusty armour: basepainting with rust color, heavy drybrushing with iron-metallic, washing with fleshshade (the orangey hue works really good here). And if I want a really old, rotten look (undead), or something like rusty cast iron (which is more of a grey), I make the heavy drybrushing with a medium-dark gray, and then a very light drybrush with iron, possibly some iron strippled on the weapon edges (+shade). But I will try this on a fitting character model!

If the paint isn't "sticking" to the surface and has the tendency to "run" away just ad a tiny drop of normal dish soap. This will release the surface tension on the model. You can also dip the model in some soapy water. Try to paint pure water on a primed model and then add a a drop of soap, you will see the difference.

GREAT video! Which Color did you mix with metallic gold for the base color of the gold version? And did you also use Seraphim Sepia for the golden one? I don´t have any colors yet and would like to know which ones to get.
Oh and in the first part of the video it seems like you use Nuln Oil, let it dry, Nuln Oil, let it dry, then Sepia with a bit Nuln Oil and let this dry- finish.
