The logo on the GIMP Series is better than the actual logo of Gimp.

Had to rewind three times to make sure I didn’t mishear it :-)
HAHA! same here.
No matter how many times I hear Nick explain that you can undo your last action with Ctrl Z (like who doesn't know that) I still enjoy watching these videos lol.
You'd be surprised how often I get asked about that!
awesome, awesome content Nick. Will be signing up for the course at the end of the month. I'm 58 and starting from scratch. I find your videos are full of great projects and advice.
Amazing tutorial! I didn't know you could do this in GIMP ^^ Thank you so much!
Attempt one took me nearly an hour and a half but I'm pretty proud of the results.
Thanks for an awesome tutorial, Nick. X
I use gimp for more than 10 years but watching this video I realised there is a "crop to content" function... lol

Nick thanks again for sharing your knowledge
Excellent tutorial. Thank you. I'm learning Gimp as a hobby. You are a great teacher.
If you click a dot node and want to undo it, I believe you can do so by pressing backspace as well, instead of ctrl+z
Just what I need. Awesome video as always, Nick!
Oh I just learn so many things today from your tutorial
love your tutorials, they are easy to follow
Thank you Nick! I've been wondering how to make an easy watercolor image in GIMP. I saw something similar in a Photoshop tutorial, but your way is so much easier!

It will be perfect with dynamic typography like a japanese calligraphy, just imagine about it! 😆
At this moment my bank account is temporarily blocked so i cant prepaid to your site but soon as my account unblock i vill prepaid for sure because i find your videos cohesive and easy to follow along. Already have tried few to follow as i watch working in gimp on the second virtual screen, on KDE switching thru them is super fast end easy. This youtube channel is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and effort to do all that. God bless you! Greetings from Croatia.
Nick, the absolute boss.
I feel like you could stretch and manipulate the image you use for color in weird ways to give you unique looks! Fantastic video!

U are the man bro🔥🔥🔥
Awesome as always 😃
Your videos are awesome! Thank you!
you can add layer mask using shift-click on layers (but it adds your last selected option full transparency or full opacity)
That’s an Akita!!! I automatically clicked the “like” button.... Oh and the logo is lovely 😊
♥
Its a Japanese Shiba Inu - I have owned this breed for over 20 years :)
Above Paranormal - Yes, you are correct!!! I should’ve known that actually.... I had an Akita, now I’ve been thinking about getting a Shiba for awhile 😊

To delete a selection on a Mac use the keys: fn + delete and it works like the delete key on a windows machine.
You are my hero! Thank you :)
0:11 how did you make the letter look so good?
It's a font I used. Just have to grab the text tool and add some text at the bottom.

Sir please make a video on watercolor in inkscape..
Well done, again!
When creating a logo is there anything you reference for shapes and ideas or is it jus pure creative mind. Btw good video
You are awesome dude!
Is this possible with any combination of the affinity programs and inkscape? looks bloody good man. i just got into all this 2d stuff and i am loving it!!
A great guide. I have a question, is it worth making a logo in gimp since it is a raster graphics program? Shouldn't you use inkscape for a logo?
10/10
now this is something unseen.
This is so cool omg thanks
Genious
Love it you’re the best !
Nice, thumbs UP!
Thank you so mouch!
very cool! thanks for this :D
thanks you for tutorial
You are the best
Great technique :-)
Hey Nick, love the tutorial. Super easy to follow.
I'm not sure if you will ever see/reply to this but I'm having some trouble.
When I go to 'Oilify' my picture, it doesn't do anything! It is only doing it for one of my pictures, too. I tried 3 other ones and it worked for all of them but for some reason it isn't for the only one I actually want to use! Go figure! lol I just wanted to know why that might be.
i legit just got the notification
Thank you so much
The brush tool is not working for me for some reason. I checked the settings and matched it but still no luck. Can't figure what's the problem. The masked layer is selected.
is it just me or everyone?
Love the vector before when I didn't knew how it's made.
Having issues when i learned how to make.
If you're doing a lot with vectors, Inkscape may be a better program, and you can easily move things from Inkscape to Gimp.
Hey man,Nice video,I was wondering what are your thoughts on akira kickstarter campaign, they are creating something you will be interested in,
Also which software you use to edit the videos?
Hey, what do I have to do to make the lines as wobbly as urs in ur much different looking final logo? Greetings, Lisa :)
i dont manage to export the logo without background every time the back ground is black, i think i missed something
thank you so much!
Very good video on using masks.
muy buena tecnica
I have an issue. How do you upload photos, i find its looking totally different and I am following instructions word per word
I am getting a white background for the logo. I want to remove the background, what should I do?
How I find that brush.. You got many brushes how! Please reoly
NICE
thank you, i feel like there should be a quicker method, but nonetheless this video was very helpful
My image is a lot bigger than the flowers How do I resize it to fit?
Notif squad here
hello nick , help us , how we can create templates for Resume ( curriculum) , which software can we use? gimp , inkscape, Write-LibreOffice , thanks.
Can you make video how to install gmic and resynthesizer on Mac OS X please.
good job :)
Do you already use the new version of GIMP, Nick? I'm thinking of downloading it, but I'm not sure if my dark background will still work as it should...
It uses a dark theme by default now following a trend of many Linux multimedia editing tools that are following on Adobe's footsteps. I don't say that in a pejorative way, though. If there is a setting where using a dark color scheme makes perfect sense, it is when editing images.
what version of GIMP is he using?
Nice
Does anybody know which font he used at 0:11 ?
So I'm having an issue, that when I try to remove the image behind my selected area, the selected area visibility is removed as well. What am I missing? I've done everything step by step with the video.
I just realized that I didn't add a transparent layer on top of the original.
Can you make tutorial how to do mascot logo in GIMP or Inkscape ?
... Nice ... go ahead ^^
