@@vandercommedia hi there! Thank you, I got it all straightened out. I assumed with wireless plug in back for WiFi, however when I took that plug out and used the 📞jack instead problem solved! Appreciate your reply back!
Ugh! So close to solving this mystery! 8:27 I need to figure out how to transfer calls that end up calling me as I'm in a phone call. This tutorial seems to cover answering, not transferring. (On my T41P, when this happens, and I press 'transfer', the number ends up redialing back to me. I don't want this to happen. I want to just simply transfer.)
Hi, this is a setting which can be done on the portal, depending on your provider. You can preset what can happen with a call for No Answer, Busy or On a Call. Best to contact the provider as each Phone Platform can differ.
QUESTION: When trying to make a transfer: is redialing a number (while there is a caller on the line) possible if they aren't available/you've hit cancel to, well, redial? Thank you!
Hi Mikayla, whilst on a call, if you press transfer and use the arrow button navigation arrow keys up & down, then you can scroll through the previous call logs and can select the number to transfer the caller to. Hope this helps.
@@vandercommedia Hi, Vandercom! This kind of helps, but I am still unclear as to whether you can redial a number after hitting "Transfer." So, say I am trying to transfer a call to somebody...I hit "Transfer," I dial the person's number and if they do not answer but ~I want to try again~, is it possible to re-dial that number? ~While~ someone is on the other line waiting to get put through. I hope this makes sense! Thank you.
@@mikaylab_ Hi Mikayla, yes you can. When the caller doesn't answer press the X button. This will end the call to that person. Then use the arrow key to access the call log and select the number to dial again. Your first caller remains on hold. All the best, Joel
Hi MrCrammer, This is down to the platform itself. If you have access to the phones web UI visit Features => General Information and change Use Logo to off. This may not be a permanent fix as when the handset updates or is rebooted the logo may activate again.
Hi Federica, thank you for watching. The key may need to be set by your Phone Provider if this is not showing as default. If you would like to change to use Vandercom as your Business Communications Provider, get in touch with the team on 03442598000 or email info@vandercom.co.uk
Hi Nickie, Thanks for your comment. To find the IP address of the handset press the OK button once. This then displays the IPv4 address on the screen. If you do not see this the handset may not have received an IP address from the router/DHCP server. You can set a static IP address by selecting Menu => Advanced => Enter the password (by default the password is 'admin') => Network => WAN Port. You can then set the static IP address you require.
That would be wonderful, if it worked. I have tried all the DSS keys on both sides of the screen. I held for 30 seconds. No change. I tried it on and off hook. Nope. I contacted the company we bought them from and they sent me a form to fill out on what I want. Apparently our T42G does not have the ability to program it yourself. That is a lousy feature. Thank you for your reply, however. I wish it had worked.
How do you put a space between a first and last name?
Try the 0 key
is it possible to switch off the voicemail
Hi, This can be done via the online portal if you have access. Otherwise ask your administrator.
@@vandercommedia Thanks for your help..... great
Why do I not have a dial tone but phone is lit up and WiFi selected and password entered?
Hi Teri, I suggest checking the configuration on the admin portal.

Why does it show "3CX" every few seconds on the idle screen? How do you stop it doing that?

Appalling vision here. Can't read the actual phone screen to see what's going on!
Our T42G does not have a DSS option key
Hi Bob, the DSS keys are on the side of the screen. If you press and hold down you will be able to customize them.
