I bought one! Thank you, thank for this! I am choosing all our American history books for my 2nd grader from Christine Miller's All Through the Ages and using AO and SCM for lit picks/read alouds for both my K and 2nd grader. I feel like this planner is exactly what I need to get our homeschool better organized this year.
I use All Through the Ages too! And I use AO for literature as well! We're studying Ancient Egypt this school year and ATTA has been so helpful! I also have a Kinder and 2nd grader.
Excellent!! I had similar ideas for my planner! If we were totally Charlotte Mason, I can see the value in how you plan out the books!! 👏👏👏 great job! (Btw-that grid!! I found the same thing my first year homeschooling. MFW-we we’re off of the grid almost immediately! And like you said….I felt like I could never catch up!) You did a great job explaining your thinking!! Yah!! Im excited for you! ❤
Thank you, Rachel!!! Yes, it was MFW that I was using, too 😆😆 I JUST sold the teacher’s guide a month ago, so I didn’t have it to film for this video, lol. Thank you!! 😃😍
So excited to try this! I was just looking at " grid planners" and thinking some of it is great but I don't want that hymn, or that artist. So I wrote down everything I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. But it wasn't well organized or pretty. Now it can be!! Thank you!!
Hi Ashley! I've been following your channel since I started homeschooling. For the rest of the year, I want to do morw CM style. How do you decide on what books your children read? I know you use book lists as a guide. But how do you know what books are good for what age & do you pick books based on the topics you'll be covering for the year?
Yes, for the most part. I pull from several Morning Time plans. Sometimes I enjoy most of one, but like to add in subjects I like for my kids that aren’t included in those Morning Time plans 😊
There's some rainbow agenda now in the Brave writer recommended books. I read on some mom groups that she has said she's no longer a follower of Christ.
Oh this is heartbreaking 😢 I noticed some of the things she was teaching that there were unbiblical things slowly creeping in a few years ago. I’m not surprised, but I am sad. 🥺
Ashley, I come for the info and inspo, I stay for the bloopers. Thank you for being real 🥰
Yay! Thank you!

Do you create your own morning time with the plan? I haven’t found one I’m excited about next year.
Yes, for the most part. I pull from several Morning Time plans. Sometimes I enjoy most of one, but like to add in subjects I like for my kids that aren’t included in those Morning Time plans 😊
I am so sorry but could I see the page that is filled in with the subjects closer. My eyes are really bad. I think this is something I will be buying.
Do you have a link for the non-filled in checklist? Also, would you consider Brave Writer a living books curriculum?
Yes! The blank checklist should be the first link in the description, and yes! I would consider Brave Writer a living books curriculum 😄
