Ironically to me that should've been heat 5, that song just screams adrenaline and fear as if something horrible was unleashed, the synth also simulates an alarm/sirens so it fits perfectly with a high level chase.
I really like Heat 1 and 4 but they definitely misplaced the levels. 1 could've easily been 3 and 2 been 1, no idea what they're smoking when making these.

if i was in charge of arranging these by heat levels, saharian dreams would be heat level 1, sphinx would be level 2, THEN heat 1's track would be level 3, and it would carry on as normal from there. heat level 1 has no business going as stupid as it does, maybe we'd add more instrumentation in the back to up the intensity as i feel like the simplicity of heat 1's track is what kept it down there. it's simple as hell but it KNOCKS. brodinski killed this OST regardless.

Also, how do you export these from Frosty Editor? Trying to do the same but for Heat, but having trouble with EALayer3.
You should be able to just click on the Export button when opening a sound file into Frosty's audio workspace, but for Unbound I had to manually dump the chunks and convert them with EALayer3.

But after sitting down and actually listening to it, I gotta say that it’s not that bad. My only issue is that it takes a long time to get to the good part, but luckily the second variation fixes that. (Although I wish It was on spotify).

I made up that intro by fading out some of the individual stems. I have no idea why they shipped it like that since the game never makes any reasonable use of the fact they are separated, at least not that I ever noticed, but it would've been cool if they faded some out in case you are in critical damage or something or, like you said, in case you could pay the initial fine like in 2015.
I only used Frosty to dump the chunks containing the songs. Frosty's new audio workspace is better than the old one but right now it isn't working properly with some files, and one of these files happened to be the pursuit theme. EALayer3 was spitting just a portion of the music as the developers decided to pack all the themes into one file and the software isn't aware of that, so I looked up for the first 16 bytes of the header and split the file based on that.

As I know, a valid chunk of audio starts with "4800000C 16", so I managed to extract only 10 separate chunks from pursuit soundtrack file. Every file is around 15 mb, but I only get drums from here. I think those are multichannel audio files, right? If so, how can I convert them to .wav or any other appropriate format, so I can get actual tracks instead of just drum layers? ealayer3 that I have doesn't want to convert them into multichannel.

I would love to but I have a bad habit of sometimes deleting stuff I won't use anymore and my build of Frosty stopped working after I uninstalled Visual Studio so yeah my bad.
Heat 5 cooldown could've been a potential Heat 6 imo. It's slowed down like impending doom. Once you've made it to Heat 6, it's like you're a speeding dead man cause there's units more terrifying than the Heavies. And instead of couple of hits, you're possibly a two tap. A one tap if you're at half health. but I wouldn't know what would come after Heavies. Army/Military tanks? Lol.
I don't mind as long as it's not a straight 1:1 reupload like some others have been doing with some of my uploads, but you should be more concerned about the actual right holders, in this case EA, not me.
The AI of the cops. They are always right behind you but it barely looks like they try to stop you. They don't ram you or anything. And this makes the pursuits unnecessary long.
Three things to make NFS Unbound the easiest NFS title to deal with cops... 1: Every cop vehicle can be rammed from the rear with no damage penalties to the player vehicle yes even SWAT Trucks spawning ahead of pursuits or patrolling in the same direction as your destination and in your way you just need enough speed... 2: One of the meetups on the map is found in a storm drain kinda tunnel, that tunnel is your BEST FRIEND and will literally remove cops from your tail because causing cops in that tunnel to go airborne INSTANTLY takes them down and they really dislike sending a patrol to come search for you in there... 3: Delivery missions can be cheesed to get the maximum payout every single time without worrying about the damage using the previous tip and the fact that the delivery cars can be REPAIRED mid mission in a repair station...

@@elaymm4 you gotta add an argument to ealayer3 when using it so it spits out all the parts. I think it was "-s all" but I'm not 100% sure.

There were a bunch of "stings" in a separate file that I'm sure are used in those scenarios.

The Heavy Truck is very powerful and do not fight it
The AI of the cops. They are always right behind you but it barely looks like they try to stop you. They don't ram you or anything. And this makes the pursuits unnecessary long.
Three things to make NFS Unbound the easiest NFS title to deal with cops...
1: Every cop vehicle can be rammed from the rear with no damage penalties to the player vehicle yes even SWAT Trucks spawning ahead of pursuits or patrolling in the same direction as your destination and in your way you just need enough speed...
2: One of the meetups on the map is found in a storm drain kinda tunnel, that tunnel is your BEST FRIEND and will literally remove cops from your tail because causing cops in that tunnel to go airborne INSTANTLY takes them down and they really dislike sending a patrol to come search for you in there...
3: Delivery missions can be cheesed to get the maximum payout every single time without worrying about the damage using the previous tip and the fact that the delivery cars can be REPAIRED mid mission in a repair station...
