Yes I’m huge on washing the length of my hair with shampoo. I’ve been doing it for the past 5 years and it makes the biggest difference and gets rid of the product. I’ve never had breakage from it
@jellyflowergirly I’ve been doing that my whole life, and my hair thick down to my hips. I tried not washing the length of my hair, and it would get a waxy feeling. Also when you go to the hair salon, they always wash all of your hair not just your scalp.
Your natural color is gorgeous! ♥ Coconut oil has some scientific backing in terms of repairing damaged hair. The "brittleness" you mentioned usually comes from not washing out the oil properly, so the best thing to do is to use a product specifically formulated for hair instead of just 100% coconut oil straight from the jar. That's what I've been doing and I love it!
@@irinareina I'm using one from a brand called Dabur Vatika Naturals because I was looking for something affordable and my strands are thick so I usually don't have an issue with coconut oil. OGX also has some options that Abbey Yung recommends. If you have fine hair, the mist from OGX might be a good idea because it's more lightweight :)
Fantastic and so practical, thanks so much for helping us enhance our routines - illuminating about over use of protein damaging instead of helping the hair strands, super useful because I was believing that was useful and wondering why over the last year my hair is worsening. The oil use and routine is amazing, thanks for showing step by step and your rationale behind each step Would love an in depth review “debunking” those hair myths and false beliefs (like rosemary oil) or other great routines and recommendations!
But I do say, when sleeping I recommend doing a protective hairstyle like: A braid or khardoun. Khardoun is a really good protective hairstyle to sleep in. And so comfortable.
My hair is heavy too, so to get more volume I gently comb my hair back when it’s 40 to 50% dry. It’s a trick that I learned from my mom. I also tilt my forehead back and move to my head side to side when I’m blow drying it, so I get a lot of volume that lasts without using products.
You are really motivating me to start a youtube chanel. :o Btw imo you look totally gorgeous with your hair "flat" in you face like you showed after removing the headband(the way you said you dont like) It give femme fatal vibes.
your hair doesnt magically become thicker in 6 months. i think you feel that way because youre using way less product than before which is making it less weighed down and thin
I didn't know wash day and protective hairstyle can apply to straight hair.. like aren't those for wavy and curly hair? you could literally do whatever to straight hair unless its damaged and it will look fine 💀
Straight hair care is no different from other types of hair, albeit perhaps a little less demanding. This type of hair also tangles up and dries towards the ends when not properly taken care of. It’s also more prone to hair fall and thinning as well as limp appearance and loss of volume. A little empathy towards all types of hair wouldn’t be amiss :)
Rosemary for hair growth is scientifically backed in biomedical literature that I can even cite. To call it a scam seems a little ignorant/misleading even though I love your channel.
There are scientists that explain how it’s possibly not a legitimate study and compare how the study wasn’t correctly done. It just happens a lot with these “natural” products- that they are used for profit. If you use it and benefit from it, I think that’s ok and fine, though.
😂go watch "lab muffin beauty science" the so called science paper have many gaps Michelle explained 2x.Most people don't read the whole paper, she did.So it's unfortunately for now lot of BS

I never really use any styling products so I never thought from that perspective 🙈 It makes total sense

is it wrapping the hair with the ribbon? it looks so cool, I will try it today, thank you ☺
@irinareina Yes. It is an arabic method to smoothen hair texture, but also keeping it intact. Does a huge difference. 😊

It is a scam though? I recommend reading the paper itself, all the doctors that endorse rosemary are probably not trichologists.
