We've come so far, socially..... My grand father couldn't admit he had emotions, my dad handled his emotions by drinking, but now I'm watching two publicly-known, male entertainment professionals honestly discussing and being well versed and self aware about emotions, mental health, and social interactions. It's soooooooo damned beautiful. Thank you for doing this - you have a specific audience and this sets such a good tone for us.
I was watching this and my toddler went up to the TV, pointed at Neal’s face and said, “Sad?”. 😂😭 ❤M
HAHA!!! Amazing
😂
This
That's so dark lol
Out of the mouths of babes
You should get Joe List on the pod. He's perfect for this format.
Normand, Morrill, next List! Trifecta
List is amazing. Just watched 4th of July - he was awesome.
Sam is on the verge of everyone knowing him. Greatest Dangerfield impression ever.
Sam’s is good, but Soder’s is better.
@@NeighborGatsy Soder sounds like Ted Levine
"He really seems to care"
Sam and his buddies Mark Normand and Joe List are the best thing happen to stand up comedy in a while 🙌
What happened with that Gramercy gig? Joe was like dead air
@@samanthab1923 I enjoyed it, the whole thing was kinda awkward lol but that might be the nature of doing that pod as a live show. Joe didn't strike me as dead air
@@BenTevikMusic Maybe but he’s a tough listen for me. I want to see that CK movie though.
@@samanthab1923 which movie? The Madison Square Garden gig? I paid to watch it, it was incredibly funny. But I'm wondering if you're referring to something else completely and there might be a movie of his that I'm not aware of!
@@samanthab1923 oh the fourth of July movie right? Just realized I had heard something about that right after my original comment haha. I totally want to see that as well!
Sam is one of the best standups right now. "Same Time Tomorrow" was the best special I have seen in some time. Every time I see him on a podcast he's a great guest! Can't wait to see who else you get on here, Neal.
agreed. he has really been on the rise
Neal Brennan doing a bluchew promo is the greatest thing about this episode
Bluechew was discovered in the rain forests by shaman thousands of years ago, it’s amazing that they selected Neil to bring it to the West
I've watched every one of these the day they come out, but when they autoplay after another video I find it real hard to turn them off
Love this podcast so much.
All I can say.
So many positive comedic influences.
So many positive human interactions.
I absolutely adore Sam, feels like a proper comic and a real standup. He's always a good guest
This feels like the most seamless podcast with things moving smoothly from one topic to another
What I love about this podcast is my ability to relate to it. Neal Brennan talks about topics on life that hit really close to home and the guests are always amazing! It’s like a therapy session I never thought I needed. Much love! ♥️
As a single dude with the same views on relationships and love, that part of the conversation made me so happy and comfortable with my choices. Loving this pod so much. Every episode has been such a pleasure to listen to.
As a human woman, same.
The qualifier "single" feels stupid to use. In an actually relevant context, like to someone inquiring if you're available and interested in dating/fucking them, sure, use "single", but other than that it's odd.
Shoutout to that theme song. Love that groove.
Seriously, it gets me every time after these.
Of course Sam has a good story, he's got thousands of people watching him talk about life on his podcasts every week! He's accomplished so much comedically, but he has also shared deep and insightful things about his life and his perspectives on the world.
I love Sam he's good people. Thanks for this Neal🤌🤌🤌
Did not know much about Sam oustide of the bits of stand up I’ve watched. So it was great to learn a bit more about him. Came off really nice and hard working in this conversation with Neal. Really love that this is a podcast where the comedians actually come off a bit more relaxed, reflective and mellow while talking. Compared to the ones where it can get a bit more loud, fast talking, interrupting and hyper. This gives a great balance to that kind of comedian podcast. Feels like I learn more about the ppl behind the comedy in this form. Thumbs up.
He's got a podcast!
We might be drunk
Love both formats, loud and obnoxious or cool and collected. I do enjoy the humanization Neal puts on them though.
You look at these people and think they must be titans- aloof from the rigors and tribulations us poor normies feel. But no. They're just as human and just as emotional as we are. 😮
yeah, check out the pod 'we mite be drunk' w mark normand. one of the best
Favorite episode so far😀! Sam Morrill is one of the best comics out there. No one can work a crowd like him. Love the question of choosing your own biopic 😌
Sam and Mark in one month! 🎉 I love this podcast! I love seeing this side/Blocks of my favorite comedians.
Great series. Brennan is a refreshingly attentive and insightful interviewer.
Sam is definitely one of the most underrated comics out there...
He's one of the most popular newer comics today.. He's definitely rated appropriately which is excellent, successful, and constantly trending.
Hes also Iron deficient which is really quite something
No way underrated
He’s playing theaters. Has a podcast with Edelman, another successful one with Mark Normand, sells out theaters, he is properly rated and going upwards
Kyle Kinane is underrated. Sam is earning his stripes and is measurably growing in success. Let's not let the word "underrated" become too meaningless.
@@rawpower12xu 2 podcasts with a combined subscription of 250k ?
You think that shows that one of the best comics around is properly rated? OK thanks for the input!
Too many comedian's specials were picked up by platforms because they has some personal attribute that the buyer's imagine had some kind of built in audience demographic. They did Sam a favor by passing and not forcing him into their mold, which got him to build his own following that isn't dependent on some suit's whim. i hope he wears that as a badge of honor and continues to put out material that is much smarter than most of his peers.
Sam is always a pleasant interview. Good episode!
Sam Morrill has awesome joke writing and delivery skills.
I like Neal always give a shout out to comics gave credit to great Jimmy Carr for pushing Neal to do this amazing podcast 👏
Love Sam. Another great episode coming I'm sure.
Love Sam - him and Neal's most recent specials were both 10/10.
Excited for the day, Sam makes some woman happy and also pissed off. The set will be better than ever.
Sam is my favorite comedian right now
This getting posted same day as Yankee opening day is quite poetic
sam speaks to me soul
I love you Neal. Thank you for doing these.
I hope this show blows up. Very entertaining and original. Thanks Neil!
Sam is a fantastic guest! Would love to see Shane Gillis make an appearance on Blocks.
Would be a short episode because the young Bull is flawless
Stopped in to say, this is going to be so amazing.. saving it for when I go into work, Love you guys !!!! ❤
Sam is the man! I bet his therapy is stand-up. It makes perfect sense. Wish he would come to Chattanooga Tn.
Love your pod, Neal
Neal... Loving this pod!! Great ! 😊
I just love Sam. That’s all
Another fantastic interview. Looking forward to next week!
And...... its time....... It's time to release the full podcast music. The people have spoken.
Sam Morril has an excellent voice for voice over work and he looks like Clooney's little brother.
Neal read my fan letter about religion on HNF right before it ended. I asked if he would believe me if I told him I felt the presence of God. They didn't make fun of me, thankfully, but I would love to ask him the question again now that he believes in a God.
Love it. Well done!
I’ve been waiting for Sam!
Good podcast guest, really seems to care!!!!
Shoutout to the Den! Saw both you cats there.
Love Sam, sad I'm missing his show in Wilkes-Barre tonight. Good to get to know him on a more personal level.
Great episode
The algorithm has a twisted sense of humour man. Sam was just giving his painful recollection of meeting his biological dad, when an ad popped up for Go Daddy. 😂
Good stuff Neal. I have to prepare myself mentally before WATCHING your podcast. I can only imagine what your guests have to do!
Good stuff Sam. I am sorry to have missed the ATL show. To a friend I was: "Oh man I gotta go look - I know Sam's coming to town soon, like REAL soon I think - like two days ago."
I've lived thus far like someone is writing a movie about me. Listening to this, I feel like doubling down. I hope Sam does as well.
🙄
sam has become one of my fav ppl
Sam is goated i tell ya..
Missouri is his go to example on every pod 😂🤣😬
Jimmy Carr's new podcast is the best!
Love me some Sam!
Im a simple man. I see Sam, I click.
wow ive never experienced sam like i did on this podcast. very cool
there is an absurd number of ads on this podcast. an ad actually interrupted brennan’s own ad read.
I got UA-cam Premium and most of my rage is gone
How do I get a hold of the outro song?
“I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS” killed me
Sam getting banned from that morning show because of the super power joke was fn gold 😂
Best episode of TigerBelly was with Neil … fan for life now
I love this pod. I loved h y f n too. Get binky on
I like this mellow talk format not everything has to be zanie morning zoo. Cool format.
Keep fucking making these please, they're great. Thanks!
The John Cazale thing’s going to leave a mark
I find it funny that even in Neal's opening for every blocks pod that he still name drops jimmy carr
I have a huge crush on Sam!
That's a thumbs up
Holy shit, legit first person to view. waddup Neil, love the glasses
Syracuse does suck.
I love rooting for Sam lol good cat frfr
If you don’t know these masterminds then you don’t really like comedy or stand ups. Cool idea for a podcast
Sam Fan. Great Epp team.
Around the 30:33 mark is so goddamn true. Reminds me of Frank Turner, a great singer songwriter commenting on playing music, "This shit wasn't fashionable when I fell in love, when the hipsters move on, why should I give a fuck?!".
Neal’s shaved hair/hair part are shifting further and further to one side
5:26 I actually listened to this podcast and it was interesting
Mind sharing what podcast you refer to? Thank you.
@@lille-mary1517 the podcast is called The Psychology Podcast. The episode on UA-cam is named ‘Neal Brennan || The Mind of Neal Brennan’ it was posted 4 months ago
‘I know lots of guys that are married, their couch is acoustic and I don’t want that either’ hahahaha
Single 4 life? Best example IMO? Lewis Black and Kathleen Madigan; awesome comics/performers/casters, best buds, both have inquiring minds and a curiosity for life, active and appear to be happy single🤗.
Keep your foundations solid, your networks fed, and step out of the comfort zone once in a while. Life well lived!
Connections are connections-with or without marriage.🤗✨💖
The only thing I want to know is when the blocks pod theme song is gunna hit Spotify 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Bone collector reference being from the fallen was funny asf lol
I need the full track of the theme song music!!
Irish with a Jewish rising 😂, that got me
Elliot Gould would be casted in Sam's biopic
Cosby is coming out with his own roof special after Sam did it. It's called "Diddler on the Roof".
The Denzel meme is from Training Day 56:33
Anyone know the quote sam mentioned? I liked it cant remember and cant find it
Plot twist... Adam Corolla is Sam Morril's dad.
47:45 - on one of his podcasts Sam definitely mentioned a casino gig he did recently where he randomly bumped into one of his friends at the tables, and now it's killing me that I can't remember who it was because he's using him as the prime example of "friends not to get advice from" here. He probably doesn't remember that he already mentioned this incident and mentioned the person by name on his podcast.
Aww I live in Syracuse lol
i think neal may be low searching for a comedian to make a movie about with that who plays you and whats the arc question he asks them all...if so cant wait if not why not
I’ve been married/with-the-same-person for 20 years… I still have no answers on why it works. Can’t stand “fixer friends”
Neal's hair communicates all of his insecurites. Dyed and cut trying to be hip an dyoung, it's ridiculous for such a successful brilliant guy to do that
Supposedly people are happiest with friends of friends and jobs from friend connections! Let then set you up!
We get it with the Jimmy Carr helped
“And I’m sure I would love…”
What is the last drug Neal lists before Sam says Ayauasca is a tough sell? I’ve rewound 10 times but can’t make it out.
"I'm sure I would love Meth, I haven't done it" - Neal. That's what I heard. I'm sure a bit tongue-in-cheek.
Link to the couch??
Do they record this podcast at WTF Media Studios?
What is the outro song??
