The choreography is amazing! I love her artistry, I just wish the Netherlands could have a bit more difficult tumbling so they can be more competitive because they're amazing on floor
Not buying that excuse, she’s the same height as Kyla Ross was towards the end of her elite career. Kyla was winning world medals. They can do some difficulty for sure. I think it is the training that’s the issue, the talent is there.
@@sharonm836 Tall Gymnast doing "difficult skills" is Very exeption, The body don't help They. They have to invest her time training turns and coreography.
Bummer about last pass but everything else was fabulous. The Dutch choreography is always the best. They just need to step up the difficulty of their tumbling and their could start taking over world competition.
Doing hard tricks are always good and pretty much a requirement nowadays however, must have the stamina and muscle to compete and complete these moves. Her artistry is awesome.
The issue with the Netherlands' gymnastics on floor is obviously their difficulty, but I think there's a common reason. I don't think they lean into the back handspring nearly enough. The best way I can describe it is it isn't flat enough. The roundoff may not be rotated enough, so they can't just throw their momentum backward on the handspring as much. It's hard to put into words ahh
@@Griffw06 Being tall makes some things harder, but she just doesn't lean into the back handspring at all. Even if she just took like three steps and went into the roundoff (so she could have a longer/lower BHS without going OOB), she could get so much more power
Taller gymnasts tend to have tumbling issues, particularly when they’re not just tall but also extremely willowy. That’s a Dutch predisposition, I’m afraid. 🤷♂️ Sanne $ Lieke are wonderful gymnasts but they’re always going to be better on beam & bars.
I agree : they look fabulous but they always seem to do way too easy tumbling when I’m sure they are capable of more. Especially after that amazing gold on balance beam at RIO. There just seems to be some kind of a disconnect with their style off training.

This routine is going a second over time and it doesn't seem like it's because of the fall (she starts moving at :09 and the planned end seems to be 1:40). Hopefully that's corrected, it would be silly to take a .1 deduction for no reason.
the artistic in artistic gymnastics doesn't mean what you think it means :p otherwise someone is going to need to have a chat with all the men and explain they've been doing artistic gymnastics incorrectly
I wonder why she's not doing a 1.5 twist to front full for .1 bonus earlier in the routine, like every other gymnast on the planet who doesn't have harder tumbling.
I can’t understand why the Netherlands act like they don’t know what it takes to complete with the rest of the world.🤨 It’s really such a shame for the athletes because they definitely have the ability to throw the necessary harder skills needed for them to be on top in the rankings! When you consider their beautiful artistry it’s obvious they have the potential to be a dominate force in the sport! Instead the coaches have them looking like NCAA champions not Olympic ones.🤦♀️ It honestly kinda makes me embarrassed for them tbh😬…
unlike most other countries, it seems like they dont push their athletes until they break and abuse them. I do wish they had higher difficulty, but I'd much rather have them in a healthier culture that doesn't only focus on doing whatever it takes to win.
@@RedVinesTheUmbridgeW Unfurtanetly that's not entirely true... Although it might be worse in other countries, a recent study did show that how gymnastics is practised/taught needs some work (to say the least) in the Netherlands too.

I’d love to see team Netherlands perform some of these floor routines in ncaa! That would be amazing

Holand needs to hire foreign coaches. It's not right for a top team player have a double tuck as the first pass and to fall on a simple full front :(
