ok so
I've been dead for a while. I have no excuse other than my laptop is failing and it lags like crazy. Also I started playing Minecraft and it has consumed every last braincell I've been desperately holding onto.
EDIT 10-21-23: This character used to have DID in previous iterations, but I have since dropped that aspect since I realized I was not educated enough on the topic to serve that sensitive and complex subject justice. The horrors that befell Vino (whose name I have since changed as well), were purely outside his own actions, and the kills he committed were purely in self defense. He never had any “evil” altars in any iterations. The song was meant to follow the tragedies that befell him, not any crimes he committed. I recommend finding other creators with DID who represent their experiences through their art and writing if you’re interested in learning more about it!

I’m literally in shock (that pun wasn’t intended) but...holy shit??? Everything about that was amazing. It was terrifying in all the right ways. The imagery was astounding, the colors perfect, the animation smooth. The story was gripping and horrifying and beautiful all at once. I loved every second of it. This is a masterpiece.

Story is gripping and terrifying by itself, but this song is a part of album "Hawaii Part II". This album is a full story of how "The mind electric" came to be and what happened next. I won't spoiler though.

See, he was out with his girlfriend, and somebody went on and killed her but all the evidence pointed to him and not the killer, so he himself genuinely believed hes insane and killed her, causing him to plead insanity not because hes just a psychopath
I almost had electroshock therapy as my absolute very last option. I still can’t live on my own without risk to myself from deep depression and PTSD-induced psychosis from time to time. Hallucinogenic chemical therapy helps stay off the worst of it for a time, though it isn’t necessarily pleasant. Love the song and the pure horror of the hospital setting.

This was great, though I can't think straight after watching it. This is the kind of really well done psychological horror that makes you need to take a break because it makes you feel slightly sick to your stomach from all the mental stimulation.

or your just me, who literally cant get it out of his head and keeps playing it over and over to the point where you start to think you yourself are going a little insane. Also knowing the actual story to the song (from the album its from) there is a disturbing undertone of clarity to it all and yet it still feels so broken and incorrect. its just an amazing phenomia of a song honestly.
I've rewatched this so many times now, so much about it is just incredible! The colors, the story, just the way that the animation goes so well with the feeling of the music that I can't hear the original song without thinking back to these amazing sequences, you deserve so much more recognition for your work! Great job!

Okay, this is just so incredible. To be honest, I didn't expect the part at 0:59 to be animated but it's so great. The composition and storytelling were beautiful, and the colours as well. The bit at the end was just amazing, and the song choice is wonderful as well. I've always loved your character designs too, and I just wanted to say good fucking job because holy shit, I'm in love with this.
God those frames were so violent yet perfect in everyway.

The skull cracking animation at 1:00 has to be one of the creepiest things I’ve ever seen, the eye popping ! ! ! Amazing attention to detail and great imagery
This gives me Lovecraft mixed with biblically accurate angels vibes, as well as its own whole feel to it, and everything about this is amazing. The dream like imagery, just everything is perfect.
I'm a film student and animations and animatics always have impressive blocking that I like to learn from. That cut at 2:45 shook me. That is the power of editing and blocking. I am extremely impressed holy smokes.

I love this version of the electric chair interpretation. The idea of starting at the execution, and the entire first half of the (non reverse) song being within those short couple of seconds, genius. Plus it makes the animation look way cooler and more interesting (than of course just a guy living for most of the song/electric shock therapy).
I’ve got to say this is the first animatic of this song that is as (actually even more) genuinely disturbing as the original work. Even then, you did it all with the unreversed version. Well done!
I'm not someone who likes anime, in most cases I actually dislike it. The animation quality is always top tier but that's about all I can say positive.
I say that to preface my next sentence.
I have NEVER seen a more fantastic, emotional, intense, imaginative, and nightmarish video in my entire life. I have no fucking clue what the source material for the character is but I really don't want to know, this is his entire character to me and that is absolutely perfect in my eyes. So much detail for what is, essentially, mostly just some still images. There is no other interpretation or version of this song that could possibly top this

I love your oc and all the suffering that he goes through reminds me off how much I like to make my oc suffer! Also when he hit his head 👌👌👌👌👌👌 Ahhhh that was so well done!!! I love this! A lot of the art styles or “characters” don’t fit together, but it works. Only thing they all have in common is their head has been replaced with something, except the main character. I like to see it as,he was normal in a world where everyone else isn’t; therefore he is not normal to them.
The art, the color, the story, the characters--I absolutely love everything about this! Especially the smooth animation around 2:19 and character with the eyes all over their head. Also the shifting back and forth between black and white and color was a nice touch. The shading and lighting in a lot of 1:07-1:41 looks so nice!

It's so difficult to explain the emotions I felt while watching this. It was like a mix of shock, terror, sadness and anger. I could just feel this weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. Nothing's ever made me feel like this, this is truly a masterpiece.
i think this is the best animatic that exactly represents what i feel and think when i listen to this song. i dont even know the lore or the characters or whatnot but the visual representation really sells that feeling.

I will start by saying that this is one of the best versions of this song that I have ever seen and I absolutely love this. I will end by saying that I spent at least 10 minutes thinking about how the judge with a bunch of eyes all over his head can roll his eyes. I still can't conceptualize it tbh.

That ending absolutely killed me (pun not intended). The entire video had already been masterful in execution, and I adored the symbolism and art style, but honestly? I think the best part about it was the fact that it built up so perfectly to that twist at the end. Bravo.

The vibrant colors, the movement, the way it's collected, executed, and shown, as it flows along with the song, it's just brilliant.
That ending especially, despite everything that had occured, a small moment of peace washed over, but just as a mere illusion. It couldn't be undone.
So, if this is still a work in progress, perhaps an animation or something, then can't wait for it to be finished, bet it's going to be a masterpiece.

As soon as his head hit that floor my jaw hung open, and thats how it remained for the rest of the video. The visuals are so perfect and the storyboarding was amazing! you've really captured just how much this guy was suffering and you could see that even in a single frame!
