There’s a reason the daughter is already closing her eyes at the start of the video. With her she could have had the eyes closed for a while before the video starts. During this time he could be doing some “ritual” and hand movements and at any point touched her shoulder. The in person audience is unaware of what the end trick is, so they have no idea what to look for and such a small gesture would go unnoticed and even more so if he adds a little bit of misdirection. 1st trick is suggestion. He basically tells her what to feel and even does it himself. The 2nd trick is actually touching him on the nose before he did it to the daughter. This way he really did feel it but thinks it wasn't Blaine and the spectators don't know Foxx is referring to the real touch. It covers both bases.

Jamie fucking Foxx no less, fantastic musician, Oscar winning actor, very funny comedian, a bit 'separatist' and racist if you listen to him on XM but still uniquely talented. That's who you think is stupid, bombastic and naive... You probably might be a lot like me: you restrain yourself because you're afraid that otherwise you'd appear naive, stupid or bombastic to toxic, self-reverent people that have forgotten how to feel human in public. The difference between you and me is that I admire people that let themselves be amazed and enjoy themselves. I vicariously enjoy myself through them like they enjoy themselves. The same way a fat guy wearing his shirt at the pool might look at a buff guy comfortably shirtless and thinking to himself "it must be cool to not be self-loathing". It is amusing. Because it amuses me. It's not amusing for you. Probably because you easily show being overly judgemental and controlling and therefore insuferable.
And then I said " no", naivety, bombasiticy and stupidity is amusing. just because you laugh at a horror movie doesnt mean it was meant to be funny. He touches Jamie's nose at :59 seconds. but before he does so... he does the same exact thing to the girls face without touching her so we don't suspect anything when he goes back to Jamie. A riot is a bad reaction so they wouldn’t be talking about that nobody likes a riot. Whether it be Hispanics blacks or whites. You think it’s fun for innocent people to get caught in between a riot when baseball teams play? Crazy college kids start going at it and tearing up the streets. I don’t think so
0:12 I think the first trick is explained by David's explanation when he asks Corrine to open her eyes and he says "I just saw that you..." and then he mimics a shoulder movement to convey a shoulder touch. So when Corrine opens her eyes and gets this explanation, she almost gets this subliminal message of a shoulder touch when she knows something was done to her father. Also in the second trick, I think the sound of the card flick is important to the nose and when David is flicking the card when Jamie is told to explain what happened. Also, like everyone says, there was movement on his nose when closing his eyes to provide a level of sensation on his nose already.
Look on youtube. The first one I'm not sure but the second one is an invisible elastic band he puts in between his two hands and touches him with at 1:00
Spoiler Alert: - - - Slow down the speed to 0.25 - at 00:57 you see him grab some string from his ring, when he puts his hands around Jamie's face its the string between his hands touching his nose.
@@ShinyFlakesShinyFlakes jamie heard the card sound when david touched her nose. david is making the sound with the card, so when jamie opens his eyes he thinks that david is making the sound himself. Makes it more believable for his mind i guess
I like how David Blaine just stands there after Jamie Foxx says he touched his daughter's nose lol everybody goes crazy and David Blaine just stares blankly at Jamie Foxx lmao!!
When he “clears” her face and Jamie’s.. he brushes Jamie’s nose before he touches hers with the card. He makes sure you can see both hands with her but you can’t see his back hand with Jamie. So he waves over her ( nothing) waves over Jamie ( secret nose touch) then touches her nose with the card. The first shoulder trick he did the same but this video starts after that
Also. The shoulder trick...whenever someone closes his eyes - its natural to tilt one way or the other. David touched dad and waited her to have the natural tilt and then ask - "saw u doing something".
I swear the best part of these videos is always when David is just sitting there emotionless when people are in shock. It’s like he just wants to go home as soon as possible.
he uses an invisible rubber band. he has it on his hand the whole time and he passes his finger through it so hes secretly stretching it. and at 0:59 he touches jamies nose with it. he doesn't touch jamie with his hands which makes the trick extremely effective.
This isnt not a complete trick unless someone starts running around the house, outside and down 3 blocks. wtih Camera following and the guy screaming ooooooooooh oooooooooooh ooooooooooh.
I know how he does the nose one: Basically you can get these invisible and incredible thin elastic bands called 'loops'. He has it wrapped around his right hand. As he approaches Jamie, he slips his thumb into the elastic band and stretches it between his two hands (when he puts his hands close to Jamie's head) as he does this he flicks the end of Jamie's nose with the stretched band. Watch it carefully and you see him open the band up when he gets close to Jamie.
David is playing with timing, basically he discretely touches the person with the eyes closed first (quick hands wave over the face), and **later** he does a similar movement with the other person but makes sure everybody is watching. In the end everybody assumes the touch happened at the same time (it of course didn't). Obviously you need the first person to have the eyes closed otherwise she could clearly notice he touched her first and then the other participant. I hope that was clear, it's not easy to explain it with text.
I love David Blane and don’t want to be that person but he obviously touches his nose with slight of hand at 1:00 but he’s still the greatest modern showman!
no he is touching the person with the closed eyes before he touches the other then when he has the person open their eyes he only asks did you feel something Not WHEN did you feel it. You can't see it on the first one because of where they stat the video but on the second when he has his eyes closed when he brings both hands up near his face when his eyes are already closed he lightly touches his nose with the thumb of his left hand .
@@aryanazman8622 Well we dont see David's left hand during it, as his right hand is covering up, and he did it slower on Jamie than on the chick, as if he needed time to do it subtly.
clever trick, Idk all the details but he probably programed this into them a bit before the trick. When the daughter had her eyes closed. David was asking her what she felt and even imitated the movement in his own body then casually pushes his finger the direction of the shoulder. With Jaime it was mostly audio but he did get his hands very close all around his face before picking up the card which could help the "trigger." when he ran the card down her nose at the every end it flicks. Then when he asks Jamie what he felt he is making that same flicking noise with the card. Mentalist tricks require a different set of skills and major balls to pull off.
*Here's how the trick was really done:* David asks Jamie to close his eyes then he moves his hands parallel on the sides of the girl's face and when we takes his hands down, before proceeding to do the same with Jamie, he rubs his thumbs, here, he probably used a string of some sort. He did the same hand thing with Jamie and Jamie could feel the string on his nose. Then David moves the card on the girl's nose and asks Jamie to open his eyes. Jamie doesn't know how he felt the feeling on his nose and is thus in awe, and same for the audience. The full clip of the shoulder tap trick isn't there, so we don't know what he did to make the girl feel the touch.
It's such an easy trick. He actually does touch his nose when he says close your eyes. Then he touches her with the card. He doesn't know its not at the same time because his eyes are closed.
the girl is in front and looking directly at what David was doing so she would have seen it if David touched his nose. David is not going to make a trick where one person would not be fooled and be able to expose the trick. So it has to be something else.
Sorry to ruin this one for people - but it's quite a simple trick. I don't necessarily think that Jamie and the others were in on it; the trick is about touching the person in that place during the little 'hands waved by the head' bit. The first one is done before the video starts, it gets cut off when the person performing the trick would typically do this (this edit is particularly convenient considering the trick). The second one is done at 0:59 - he lightly touches the side of Jamie's nose, on the side away from the camera. The only other piece of supporting evidence that I have that this is the case is that Jamie indicates that side was touched right after this.
And he also uses suggestion. Right before he told him to open his eyes, he flings the card and one more time after he opens them so that he thinks he's been touched by the card.
Watch from 0:55. You can see him put both his hands past the girls face and if you watch his hands you can tell he puts something between his hands before he does the same to Jamie.

yup, it's all about suggestion through senses, 1'14-1'17 after scratching the nose of the daughter that is almost at same level as fox's ears, he kept flickin the card while askin what did u feel.

I don't think they're naive or stupid at all. You're projecting your personality onto me. YOU think they're stupid, bombastic and naive.
And encouraging bad behavior never got anyone anywhere. Hingle McCringleberry they didn’t say all I think they’re talking just about this specific setting. Like reacting to magic and making the setting friendly and enjoyable rather than performing for other people and have a more bland and dry reaction. A riot is a bad reaction so they wouldn’t be talking about that nobody likes a riot. Whether it be Hispanics blacks or whites. You think it’s fun for innocent people to get caught in between a riot when baseball teams play? Crazy college kids start going at it and tearing up the streets. I don’t think so
nah they’re mostly always just over exaggerated.

I think the first trick is explained by David's explanation when he asks Corrine to open her eyes and he says "I just saw that you..." and then he mimics a shoulder movement to convey a shoulder touch.
The first one I'm not sure but the second one is an invisible elastic band he puts in between his two hands and touches him with at 1:00
David touches Jaime's nose while checking to make sure his eyes are closed. He just conceals it from everyone. That's the touch Jaime is speaking of.

Probably easier to just say Blaine touched Foxx's nose when he waved his hand in front of his face
But how did he do it with the daughter and the shoulder push?
When did he touched daughter's shoulder? There was no touch. Why does no one assume that this is staged?

You can see him pulling out the string in his hand 0:58
If he did touch him with a string by his motion Jamie would have felt it go down but he felt it go up like with his daughter

@@TheAxelFII No he's not, he's 100% correct
clever trick, Idk all the details but he probably programed this into them a bit before the trick.
If Jamie fox opened his eyes in the middle of the scratch, David Blaine would turn into a bat.

Everyone: “🤪🤨🤪😳🤪🤭🤪!!!”

1:22 I saw Eric's (Jamie) inner child glowing 💖💖💖🙏💖💖💖
*Here's how the trick was really done:*
David asks Jamie to close his eyes then he moves his hands parallel on the sides of the girl's face and when we takes his hands down, before proceeding to do the same with Jamie, he rubs his thumbs, here, he probably used a string of some sort.

@@Jule5wrld maybe someone behind her and the chair

the girl is in front and looking directly at what David was doing so she would have seen it if David touched his nose. David is not going to make a trick where one person would not be fooled and be able to expose the trick. So it has to be something else.
@@imagine917 He uses an invisible thread to touch the guys nose. We don't see how the shoulder was touched due to the cut video.
The only other piece of supporting evidence that I have that this is the case is that Jamie indicates that side was touched right after this.
no
Eric s
Don't worry Eric - for people like you, I have a better alternative explanation. It's magic!
And he also uses suggestion. Right before he told him to open his eyes, he flings the card and one more time after he opens them so that he thinks he's been touched by the card.
1 word, loops. A piece of string that u can barely see
