Rob Zombie scored another platinum success in 2001 w/ his 2nd solo album 'The Sinister urge'... w/ the singles - "Feel so numb" ... 'Never gonna stop' ... 'Scum of the Earth'... His success inspired him to make his own movies, which included 'House of 1000 corpses'... (which starred his wife Sheri Moon Zombie) as well as 2 remakes of the 'Michael Myers' horror classic 'Halloween'. Besides recording and touring as a solo artist, Rob Zombie recently made his own 'The Munsters' comedy movie like a prequel to the series... w/ Sheri Moon Zombie as 'Lily Munster' (originally played by Yvonne DeCarlo) and Jeff Daniel Philips as 'Herman Munster' (originally played by Fred Gwynne)
Dragula was the name of Grandpa Munsters car in the 60s TV show The Munsters. It was designed and built by George Barris of Barris customs in California. The song was also featured in the first Matrix in the scene where Neo first meets Trinity
Love this reaction! Rob’s music is inspired by Zombie's love of horror films. He’s apparently a really nice guy in real life. I’ve seen a few interviews and he comes off as down to earth and very intelligent. Despite his his “image”, Rob is a self-described ethical vegan, he and his wife (of many years) use one of their properties to house rescued animals. In an interview, he said that he avoids the use of all alcohol and drugs.
I'm sure he is a great guy, but he's not afraid of acting like an a-hole for the sake if the show. Once saw him call out some people at ozzfest in the rich seats. They were being shifty. He found a kid from the back of the show and had him stand right in front of the rich kids. Was pretty cook.6
Where you probably heard it before: this song played in the background in the bar/club scene of the movie 'The Matrix' when Trinity first meets Neo. It is possibly one of the best scenes in the whole movie, just from the vibe that this song provides in that context. Chills.
Funny fact about that; it's not the first time it's played in a movie with Keanu Reeves in it. The Watcher has him dance to it after murdering someone.
One other thing... you mentioned he probably gets chicks... He's been married to Shari Moon Zombie at least since the 90's... if I'm not mistaken, in this video she's the long black-haired go-go dancer. If that isn't her, that's almost exactly what she looks like... but usually a blonde. She stars in most of the movies he's done.
Sheri in a wig. Yes. Still married. The farm is in upstate New York. The film Blade 2, in the club House of Pain they are playing the Herman Munster Hot Rod remix. Said hot rod is the car he was driving in the video. Grandpa's coffin car did not clear customs in time for the shoot.
It from the tv series The Munsters, Grandpa Munster had a drag race car made out of a casket called Dragula, in the video Rob Zombie drives Koach which is the hearse Herman Munster turned into a hot rod
Dragula is the car Grandpa Munster built when Herman lost the family ride in a race for pink slips at the drag strip. a rail dragster built from a coffin he built to win the care back. It was a great episode of the Munsters.... and you may have heard this on MTV in the late 80's early 90's .... I can remember their dance show and when this played all the hip hop heads dancing went from their usual dance to what looked like physical therapy at a head trauma ward.... it was not like they were used to.
@@emerje0 then it was a few years after.... big deal. I never watched MTV anyway. but my brother did. I was thinking it came from the same white zombie album that more human than human was on... astro creep 2000 I think, which was years earlier
white zombie(his original band)'s more human than human was my jam as a teen..In an interview, Rob Zombie himself explained the meaning behind this song, stating that it is about “finding and releasing the inner monster within you and really being yourself.” He further added, “You really need to embrace who you are and embrace what makes you unique.” His wife Sheri Moon Zombie is actually featured in a number of his music videos and movies, she also does costume design for alot of his stuff.
if you ever watched the movie bad boys there is a remix version of this song playing in the club called dragula 'hotrod herman remix'. i like it better then the original.
I love this song. I'll never forget blasting this song at full volume, windows down in an ambulance as we arrived on scene for a shooting with multiple injured. The cop that let us into the scene was trying to hide his grin while shaking his head at us, lol. So much fun.
Man, if I ever need an ambulance, I hope they come in the same way. The only thing I can think of that could make me fight harder to remain breathing is Pantera's "Walk"...it's like adrenaline you can listen to.
So, in 2022 Rob played at Aftershock in Sacramento. It was the first metal festival that my best friend and love of my life had been to. He did not know what to expect. While my intent was to see Slipknot (so good!), he absolutely loved Rob Zombie. The energy, the performance, the music, my love loved it and is now a huge fan. That was a great day.
@V8ToYy I'm glad to have my favorite person that wants to try new things with me, and I am always down to find out what he's into. What makes him tick. He's a good, good human. We went to see Tool last year at the same metal festival, and are awaiting the 2024 line-up to figure which day we are going to.
id love to see slipknot and robzombie, thats a crazy show. right now corey feldman is touring with fred durst, which is insane i wish i could see that with my own eyes.
Rob Zombie is amazing. He's had a successful music career, and as a director he has a very unique style. I personally love a lot of his horror movies, but they aren't for everyone. As for his music, his blend of techno-like beats and metal made for a very interesting decade in the 90's. Also, Rob Zombie does a bunch of remixes of his own stuff... Really went for the more techno/dance vibe. it would be super cool to hear someone rap over some of his stuff... just sayin.... I was lucky to see him in concert a few years ago, and he puts on a hell of a show. he bounced around that stage for almost 3 hours, and this is when he was well into his 50s (He's 59 now). Also, this is from a guy that hasn't ever done drugs. Glad you're expanding your horizons BP!
The Hot Rod Herman remix version of the song originally appeared in the 1999 Warner Bros. film The Matrix. It was also featured in many video games, also the song is featured in the films Idle Hands and The Watcher, and in the TV shows Daria, King of the Hill, Alias, The Flash, and Echo.
White Zombie did a cover of the disco hit “I’m Your Boogie Man” by KC and the Sunshine Band for the second Crow movie. This song was used in The Matrix. It was playing when Neo met Trinity at the night club.
not only is rob zombies solo career amazing but even when he played with white zombie he was incredible and he is an amazing movie director, great reaction!
i love Rob Zombie. I have followed him since White Zombie. My wife does not like him. Thunder Kiss '65 is a good one from White Zombie would be another good one for you to check out. I'm a Rob Zombie fan. I'm a couple of decades older than you, but was raised like you in a strict christian home. You are right to protect what you see or listen to. Some things once seen cannot be unseen, or heard. It can take root in your psyche. It begins to change you, your thoughts, morals and convictions over time. I've been a rocker since the 60's before it was popular in the black community. Somehow so is my daughter and we've seen Rob Z in concert in Chicago. Needless to say it was wild like his videos. 😂
Serious question; why are so many black people opposed to other black people listening to rock/goth/metal music? As a goth myself a lot of the black people I've met in the scene have said that their musical taste wasn't accepted and people get mad over it? Seems to be a recurring topic in comments online under music videos as well. It makes me sad to hear cause everyone is more than welcome to enjoy it and 99% of alt people are really nice and calm

I got introduced to Rob Zombie from Twisted Metal on PlayStation when I was a kid. Fun fact. At one of his concerts the Security guards wouldn't let him in the door thinking he was a homeless guy. 😂
I’ve seen him live multiple times and it’s never a disappointment. Also had the pleasure of meeting him and his wife, Sheri Moon Zombie. Two of the sweetest most down to earth people I’ve met.
I meet rob zombie here in Brisbane when he released the album "educated horses", surprisingly it was a rather small indi record store, i managed to have a 10min general chat and the guy was nice and down to earth. he is so creative, musically and through film.
My dad took me to a Zombie concert in STL. My dad doesn't like the pit where I was and was standing super side stage to find a place to lean for his back. Zombie ended up talking to my dad as he walked off stage. My dad - who is so chill and never gets "starstruck" was like "zombie's pretty cool" after i met him at the end of the concert. I was so mad my dad got meet him and not me! My parents ended up seeing him around Vegas (they have a condo and used to hang out in places he frequented) and both said he is so down to earth and chill.
Another great one Brother 👍🏻 Rob zombie is a Bad Ass 👍🏻 I have been listening to him for a long time even back when him in his Brother was together ❤️ 👍🏻
This is a song that is on my "leaving work on Friday afternoon" playlist!!! It's a perfect hype for the weekend song! I just love it!! "Living Dead Girl" is another favorite from Rob Zombie!!! Glad you liked this...I love it! Many others have said this already, but Dragula is a car from The Munsters!!
When I started with lifting weights and working out properly, this was one of the first song I blasted on earphones during my workouts. I never saw the video to it so it will be interesting to see 🦇
Ok…. I haven’t even watched the reaction yet and could not help myself to mention his guitar player…. He goes by the name John 5 and he is amazing! He has a solo video of a piece called Noche Acosador (Spanish for night stalker) he plays a acoustic guitar solo and it’s amazing!!!
A huge song that has been in many movies, not to mention a regular feature in many alternative and rock clubs. Speaking of which this was the song in the background of The Matrix when Neo first meets Trinity in the nightclub.
Zombie is the only one I've seen in concert multipule times over more than 20 years and he still slays! It's a show and a production not just a concert. Also if you like this check out his brothers work like, Powerman 5000 - When Worlds Collide. Same era different vibe but still bang'n!
Ive been a fan of rob since 2000. My uncle would just sit in his chair after work watch the music videos. Then he introduced me to robs films. Rob is a great guy
Back when this came out and MTV still played a little music, they had a behind the music show that had the making of this video on it, and it was crazy AF!!
the title came from the name of Grandpa Munster's eponymous dragster DRAG-U-LA on The Munsters, His music so Energetic, Love his music.. I remember him on MTV cribs he loves horror movies house full of crazy stuff but his movie collection was Crazy
Rob Zombie was the front man of the band White Zombie. He went solo and did music from then on under his own name. His brother is the front man of the band Power man 5000 who's name is Spider I believe. Rob's voice is iconic IMO. Very unique and has a dark quality. He became a director later and began making movies.
@@patsstuffclark9522 Thank you! I knew "Spider" alone sounded wrong but I forgot to go look it up after watching. I was a big fan years ago but haven't listened to them in a long time. I'm gonna get re-acquainted.
Dragula was the Drag Racer used by Grandpa (Dracula) in an episode of The Munsters. And that actually the exact same car in the video. Most of Rob's early tracks were about B Horror Movies.
There was an episode (probably more than one, it's been a few decades since I watched the show) of "The Munsters" where Grandpa drove a dragster in a race, the car's name was "Dragula."
I saw him live twice, and his shows are freakin awesome. He is huge munsters fan.that is Grandpa's care in The Munsters. He has a beautiful wife. She plays in all his movies he directed.
Shocked you have not heard this one. This was one of the songs that me and my friend genny always danced to back in the day when we went out. There is a techno version too. It wasn't my favorite but it exists
The big headed robot is from the 1939 movie serial "The Phantom Creeps" Starring Bela Lugosi. It started out as a 12 part series that was later edited and re-released as its own film.
George Barris designed both the Munster mobile for the 60s tv show The Munsters. And the original Batmobile which was based on a 1950's Lincoln concept car.
Robs wife Sheri Moon is the lead dancer... in the black outfit and hat. Always loved his movie Devils Rejects. If you haven't seen it, its awesome, Sheri is the lead female in the movie.
Oh Yeah, tons of groupies. But Rob has been married to Sherri Moon for over 20 years. Rob is a total workaholic. He makes movies so yeah, his vids are the best. He's a vegan and actually a pretty gentle soul. His brother is Spider One, lead vocals for Powerman 5000. And yes, same era, so to speak, as Marilyn Manson, they have toured together Rob puts in a hell of a show. His catalog is enormous
I shook his hand & he gave me a very nice kiss on the cheek. Top bloke & he & Sheri are like a couple who reminds me of Alice Cooper with his wife & how she supports him. Goals
You mentioned Marlynn Manson too! I was at their Twins of Evil tour in 2019... was a great concert (Pain In The Grass so was actually 8 bands that day) This song was the finale and actually is the oldest vid I got still saved to my phone (the one from the show that I saw it live) after replacing the phone. I foolishly cleared some out before covid hit so at least have them saved to my computer.

Superbeast is one of my favorites, but I'll never forget hearing Dragula for the first time.
Rob Rocks
When I started with lifting weights and working out properly, this was one of the first song I blasted on earphones during my workouts. I never saw the video to it so it will be interesting to see 🦇
I'm sure someone said it already, but "DRAGULA" was one of the two vehicles that the Munsters drove. Fun if you like the old school TV shows
His former band, White Zombie - More Human Than Human. It is a banger!
You may have heard that hook in a PS1 game called Twisted Metal 4. Got hooked on the game and Rob Zombie at the same time.
I love Rob Zombie....his music is awesome
Dragula is the name of the car from the old TV show The Munsters, Rob Zombie loves the old classic horror movie themes.
THE Banger to end all bangers!!
Ok…. I haven’t even watched the reaction yet and could not help myself to mention his guitar player…. He goes by the name John 5 and he is amazing! He has a solo video of a piece called Noche Acosador (Spanish for night stalker) he plays a acoustic guitar solo and it’s amazing!!!
U will love it
Dracula was the car from the Munsters TV show. The song also played in the background of the movie The Matrix.
A huge song that has been in many movies, not to mention a regular feature in many alternative and rock clubs. Speaking of which this was the song in the background of The Matrix when Neo first meets Trinity in the nightclub.
5:11 Yes, you did hear it before, if you saw the movie the Matrix. Also, for me, it's reminiscent of Kid Rock's Bawitdaba. 👍😎✌🗽
Industrial groove metal at its best.
I have to go to his concerts every time he comes to town. It’s quite the show!
Back when this came out and MTV still played a little music, they had a behind the music show that had the making of this video on it, and it was crazy AF!!
It's HALLOWEEN every day with Rob Zombay. (yeah i know it's Z O M B I E but then my rhyme wouldn't work.) one of my top 10.
the title came from the name of Grandpa Munster's eponymous dragster DRAG-U-LA on The Munsters, His music so Energetic, Love his music..
Yes, Rob's brother, Michael, also known as Spider One, is singer for Powerman 5000. They opened for Metallica many years ago.🥰
Rob grew up in a circus family, thats why his style is this. It's just his life he went all in on the theatrics
Seeing them in concert was wild, the chick bassist was out of this world. So talented! ❤
That song was in the original Matrix, when Neo first met Trinity in the nightclub, this song was playing.
There was an episode (probably more than one, it's been a few decades since I watched the show) of "The Munsters" where Grandpa drove a dragster in a race, the car's name was "Dragula."
such a fun song! ♥
I saw him live twice, and his shows are freakin awesome. He is huge munsters fan.that is Grandpa's care in The Munsters. He has a beautiful wife. She plays in all his movies he directed.
This is one of my favorite Rob Zombie songs behind "Living Dead Girl"
He also went by "White Zombie". Check out his song "More Human Than Human"

I love your reactions!!! You should have experienced a Rob Zombie concert LOL you can't take your eyes off the stage. Great reaction!
I drug my husband to see him in Sturgis, SD, when we were up there for a bike rally. I’ve always loved his material, especially with White Zombie.
I saw Rob when he opened for Korn. What a great show he and his band put on!!!!
Shocked you have not heard this one. This was one of the songs that me and my friend genny always danced to back in the day when we went out. There is a techno version too. It wasn't my favorite but it exists
Fun fact twisted metal videogame had a version of dragula in the game
The big headed robot is from the 1939 movie serial "The Phantom Creeps" Starring Bela Lugosi.
It started out as a 12 part series that was later edited and re-released as its own film.
George Barris designed both the Munster mobile for the 60s tv show The Munsters. And the original Batmobile which was based on a 1950's Lincoln concept car.
I love this song, I 100% have this in my workout playlist.
And yes, same era, so to speak, as Marilyn Manson, they have toured together
Rob puts in a hell of a show. His catalog is enormous
Rob Zombie songs Super beast, Living Dead Girl, Never Going To Stop Me, I'm Your Boogie Man.
When i was 18 19 i was soooo obsessed with this song and Living Dead Girl xo
I was introduced to Rib via White Zombie, his band before going solo. Rob's brother is the frontman for another past popular band Powerman 5000!
The fact you dont stay in one lane i love youll do anything from Em to Tom MacDonald from Boney M to Rob Zombie..... keep them coming love the show
His movies that I really like
The Firefly Trilogy, 31, Halloween 2007, The Lords of Salem and The Munsters
DRAG-U-LA was, along with the Munster Koach, one of two cars on the television show The Munsters designed by prolific show car designer Tom Daniel while working for George Barris and Barris Kustom Industries
